Need an old-style BUS fuse to replace a blown one? They've got it and they'll take you right to it. Need some self-sealing stem bolts? They've got those, too. Fabricated half-inch pipe? You betcha! Parking is a breeze. There are a few municipal spaces out front, and then additional parking along the alley next to the building and in the back. The staff knows what they have, and also has suggestions if you're not sure what approach to take for a project/problem/emergency you're facing, and at very reasonable prices! Yea, you could drive a couple miles away to save a few pennies on something...or you could just get it here and not have to worry about driving up Taylorsville Road. The store looks like it's been added on to a time or two while you walk from one room into another. It's muchly larger than it looks from the street, and the building has a ... personality to it. I took my mower in this year and they replaced a bad cap for the gas and tuned the mower replacing some thing's needed and sharping the blade etc. However, the cap leaked gas as I mowed. I took the mower back and was shown the cap was not the issue as I had thought. The gas tank was compromised inside for the ridges to tighten the cap. They had a used tank right there available. It was installed same day and only charge for the tank at a very very good price. I mowed yesterday and the mower was great. Started quickly and mowed level, quickly and no gas leaks. Wonderful place, friendly, professional and helpful. I would recommend for your needs.

Not only that but they also had it waiting for me at the front register. I showed them a picture of what I was working with when I arrived, and the staff (maybe Keith himself?) pointed out a few other things that were important for me to know about my project. Keith's has so much of what you would need for a project, with some other fun bits mixed in. I have a soft spot for neighborhood hardware stores, and Keith's definitely ranks high!

Signage was great and there are specialty items you'd likely not find in other hardware stores. I did secretly yearn for a beautiful red, metal, rolling toolbox. Went to crank and run for 30-30 min every 3-4 months as good maintenance the unit locked up. Had no reciept but called the store they were sold out of all generators due to upcoming snow storms . They sad to come back in the spring when they restocked. Not only did they refunded my full purchase price towards a larger 2500 watt that was on sale $100 off. No questions . An employee at Lowe's (funny enough) suggested we try out Ferguson, so right after they opened on Saturday, we walked in. But I doubt we'll ever be back. We looked around Ferguson's beautiful showroom for a few minutes, and I have to give them props here. It really is a nice space that makes you want to daydream about kitchens and baths. One of their saleswomen came out to talk to us, and from there, the interaction went down hill. She seemed frustrated with us before we could really ask her anything. About halfway through explaining that we were in need of a shower curtain ring, overflow kit and the specialty pipe to extend the shower head from the ceiling, she abruptly turned and walked back into her office. My boyfriend gave me this exasperated look, and he rarely complains about service. She came back a few minutes later with some catalogs and started hurriedly flipping through pages. She next asked us a series of questions like she was expecting us to say the wrong thing. She asked us about the measurements of the tub. I admit we should have come with those in hand, but she didn't even want to give us options. (Come to find out after talking to some other plumbing supply shops, that there are only a few options for some of these parts. We could have easily identified what we needed if she would have shown us what was available.) She told us that it typically takes a week to 10 days for items to come in. Other plumbing shops have told us three days for the same items from the same brands. I think she just wanted to get us out the door. Did we smell bad or something? It's not like we showed up in our dirty work clothes from when we were grouting tile. We are two, childless 30-somethings with disposable income, who are eager to buy items to renovate our new house -- a pretty desirable demographic really. Maybe we just got a saleswoman who was having a bad day. I don't know. But the first thing we talked about after leaving was that we weren't going back. And happily, we have since found other businesses that will gladly help us out.

Could not believe a showroom could be that high end and have poor customer service. Highly disappointed and will NEVER return out of general principle.
