She explained tile to us and showed us many options and she was never pushy. When we decided on something we liked, she went and got a flat cart for me to load it all on and she went OUTSIDE into the cold (it was under 30 degrees) to get it! Then she led me the way to a desk where we paid at that desk. We did not have to go through a typical line, it was much better and more private to pay at a desk. Melinda is a great asset to Home Depot and we will be back again because we know there are people like her there. Give her a raise!

I stayed in the flooring area for 30+ minutes with not one offer of help. I asked 4-5 orange apron people if they worked in flooring, all but one said no and just walked away. One said she would send someone. Did not. I stopped by the kitchen counter section and there were three of four employees sitting/standing around a desk, not making eye contact. I try to buy local and help the job situation, but this is why Amazon is winning and will win.
