Ordered a Masonite Door from Home Depot in May. It was a standard door. I was told that it would take 5 to 8 weeks for it to come in. After 6 weeks it did not come in. I was told that it would be 2 more weeks. They did not have the materials to make the door. 2 weeks go by don't have the glass to finish door. Call 2 weeks later, they say they have all the pieces and it will been in on next Masonite door truck. It did not come in. Called in last part of September, 3 months late, don't worry door is finished. Will be in next week. Called again, door is on truck, but due to HURRICANE IAN, it will be in next week. Called this week, no one knows where door is. Called Masonite yesterday, they did not know where door was and promised to call me back. They did not, called again today and they said door was picked up today and would be here next week. I had to tell my builder at least five times to change his schedule. I have asked to talk to the manager of the Blue Ridge HD at least three times. I finally got to talk to Anita, the customer service specialist today, and she said Sorry, I can't (want) do anything about it. You have to wait until the door comes in. CAUTION, Don't deal with HD. If you are truly a "DOER" go to Lowe's or your local building supply store where your business means something! IF you have to pay for something before you get it Beware! read more

Just plain old lack of customer service! Was in store yesterday at 10:30AM. Needed to get a quart of paint, had the paint and color chip in hand and standing at the counter with one other customer. Two ladies working the area - both at the mix machines chatting with each other - one goes back down the isle get a gallon of paint comes back up the isle looks at me, no acknowledgement - hi I'll be with you in a moment - nada. Back to the mixing machine & chatting with her coworker. You can walk through this store past scores of employees and never be asked if you need help. Left the paint on the counter & my cart in the isle, went to Ace hardware and had a very pleasant experience. read more

Had a ton of problems with my purchase of appliances at Hd The real culprit is Spirit delivery They damaged one item One is defective One they wouldn't take the doors off to fit an interior door It looks like a corporate money saving policy to use the cheapest company The delivery person looked unsavory The store is trying to make it right Hope they do But it's been 3 weeks already I am close to having them pick up everything and go somewhere else I will update in the future Three weeks later the frig arrived and guess what it fit after u take the doors off The stacked washer dryer does need repair Supposed to happen soon Let's see how that works out It's been five weeks And Jimco came out and fixed the dryer Bad install Nice technician and very professional and experienced repairman Things are working great now The store was helpful It's the delivery people that are the problem read more

I was in the Blue Ridge Store getting some 6x6x12 treated lumber posts (which are very heavy and I was by myself.) An employee named Aaron came by and asked if I needed any help. I told him yes. Aaron helped me load 6 of these poles onto a cart, through checkout, and lelped load them into my truck. I then remembered I needed cement before installing the poles. Again. Aaron helped me load the cement on the cart and in the truck. Its outstanding employees as Aaron that should be recognized for doing such a good job. Aaron was eager to help, maintained great communication, and acted like he enjoyed doing his job. Its rare to find such good employees as Aaron and hopefully, management will recognize this employee.... read more

The customer service with the employees working the main part of the store is a hit or miss. Some are cheerful and knowledgeable and others will ignore you or walk right past you. I've been at the paint counter and door desk and had employees not even acknowledge that I was there, he just kept looking at computer screen so I left. We have been waiting for patio doors for over 13 months now. Today (the 3rd set) came in but couldn't be installed because Home Depot LOST the screen doors and they didn't have the trim for the patio doors. When the Asst. Mgr didn't call us back this morning we went to the store in the afternoon. By now a different Asst. Mgr was there and Ray didn't know what had happened earlier, however he did try to help us. So Ray took us to see Anita. They now "hide" her in the back room because her customer service is AWFUL. We unfortunately had to talk to her previously concerning the doors. When we commented about them loosing the screen doors she had the nerve to say "well, they had been here a year". Well, if they had ordered the right size in the first place they would have been at my house. When we asked about reordering them she said it didn't "really matter" because they would be here in 2 weeks and the trim would take longer. After telling her yes it did matter when she ordered them she begrudgingly agreed to order them while we sat there. They should be here in 22 days. And they have no idea about the trim because they have to get quotes. So maybe in 2 months we will see our doors. We have to get back on the installers calendar so who knows when. read more

I have been a Home Depot stockholder for 30 years. Believe in the store. It never fails that the Blue Ridge store is usually out of what I need and no one ever knows when the product will be back in. Pinestraw - forget it. Often out and dont know when it will be back in. Ordered a popular Ring doorbell recently online. None in stock at Blue Ridge. No one could tell me when they would be in. After waiting 3 weeks, cancelled the order and walked into the Blairsville store yo pick it off the shelf. Have found the nearby Blairsville store better stocked like all Home Depot's usually are. Wish the management at Blue Ridge store would get it together. read more

I live just over a mile away so I tend to shop there more than the average consumer. I have ALWAYS been met by a friendly associate who seems to regard me as the most valuable customer of the day. You would think that they receive sales bonuses (although I'm told they do not). All retail stores should take a lesson from Home Depot as customer service is a deal breaker for most consumers. It's also the reason why I refuse to shop at Lowe's. Shop online at their dedicated website for price comparison and you'll probably wind up at Home Depot. read more

I called tonight to get advice on a new shower tub with jets..The operator was sour, the Department guy named Dennis Coleman was worse~ he wouldn't discuss the tub options at all, so I asked for someone that could help me, he then put Gabe Herres on the phone and obviously since Dennis Coleman was standing there with him the one that was not wanting to help me, he was not anymore helpful, this is the epitome of local yocal mentality. I am supposed to get a call tomorrow from Bob Coleman the store manager. I do not Expect any better. All I wanted was a new tub and shower insert with jets, not from this bunch of creeps... Although the mask requirement is posted at the entrance, no one is at the door or inside enforcing it. No social distancing and many customers are not even pretending to wear masks. The have zero customer service, avoid helping customers and don't care. When you tell management they avoid the problem. I'm contacting their corporate to handle it at this point. This place is a joke. Oh yeah, their lumber is 100% garbage too. Go to Lowes, ace hardware or down the road to toccoa lumber mill for lumber. This Home Depot has lumber so bad that you wouldn't want to use it for scrap. No wonder everyone in town goes to other places for their building supplies. I've been shopping at Home Depot for a number years and have had a mixed experience at the Blue Ridge store. On the one hand, the employees in the Paint Department have gone out of their way to be helpful. On the other hand, I waited at one point for 20 minutes for someone to help me in Lighting, to no avail. Today I asked for assistance in plumbing, The employee was extremely rude and gave me the third degree, without helping me at all. My review is specific to John in kitchen designs. Another teammate made me a 90 minute appointment for kitchen designing, and I took half a day off work to attend. I brought a house blueprint and a photo for a new construction project. John completely and unequivocably refused to do ANY design work until the house was built and he could send someone to measure. He claimed he had to know where plumbing and electrical were, I pointed out that we needed to PLAN these utilities around his kitchen design! Then the truth came out, which is that he had another 10 projects to work on and he's the only designer in all of Blue Ridge and he puts everyone off until their kitchens can be measured because that's his way of delaying everyone while he's behind in his own work. He claimed it's "Home Depot's process," but clearly it was for his convenience, not from any need. Basically he's eliminated anyone with new construction from trading with Home Depot. So I wasted half a personal day - don't make the same mistake I did. Lowes has better appliances and all the same cabinet choices. read more

This store location used to be one of the better ones I have frequented, but some of the employees appear to be increasingly lacking in customer service skills. The folks at the checkout are for the most part top-notch and friendly. The floor/department staff however, seem to be rather miserable and indifferent to their customers. I was in the paint department a few days ago and had a simple question about whether or not Home Depot carried CLR. (I had been looking for it but couldn't locate it in the aisle). The employee in the paint department (who later identified himself as "Darryl") at first outright ignored me, then when I repeated myself, snapped an impatient "What?" in response. When I asked if he was available to help me he again, rudely, stated simply "NO." At that point I walked away. I then returned and asked his name. I have to say, I am beginning to wonder why I spend so much of my money at an establishment that appears to allow this kind of disdain and disrespect towards its customers from its employees.
