My wife and I have been contracting Bob for nearly 5 years. Over that time he has done a wide…read morevariety jobs for us ranging from shower installations, air vent repairs, lighting installation, siding, painting(one house that needed serious prep), concrete repair, garage roof restructuring, and various other minor improvements. He has also on multiple occasions noticed things that might need fixing and has suggested repairs and/or improvements. This is all without any pressure or obvious intent to drum up more business. I have also found him to be very resourceful and he has added his own suggestions on doing the project better than we had intended without any additional costs. He and his two man team are very hard working and just downright pleasant people to work with. They are all very courteous and careful to clean up the job site when complete. Finally, every bid we have received has been quite reasonable. He will work with you as a partner and in that kind of relationship both parties will benefit a great deal. If you are a micro-manager you will lose out on much of his value. He will do things exactly as you wish, but we suggest you take advantage of his wealth of experience.

His bid was less than half of what the competition was asking, and he went above and beyond what I asked or expected him to do. My house looks as good as the day I bought it now, and every time I drive up it brings a smile to my face. Thank you so much!!

Our deck was nearing the end of its life. We sought out multiple deck contractors and just about…read moreevery one of them said it was unsalvageable and that we should replace it. However, replacing the deck would mean having to update it to current building codes and permits, which would then mean having to hire an engineer for our small 6' x 14' deck... Bruce came over, took a look and casually said, we can add more supports and fix the deck instead of having to replace it. He walked us through all the repairs he would do, he listened to our concerns and wrote up an estimate that weekend. I choose to hire him because of his straightforwardness in answering all my questions, he was so down to earth and friendly, I felt like he was trustworthy. We went from potentially having to wait months and spend $20,000 on a new replacement deck to spending about $5,000 on repairs and taking considerably less time. They were booked out till about October and would contact us when the time came closer, they did just that and were able to fix the deck in a day. We hired him to come back to build a 2nd retaining wall, his son came out and built it in less than an hour. They used high quality materials, I feel like the wood used will last a long time. A year later, we noticed that the deck was starting to sink and consulted with Bruce. He came over, took a look and figured it was probably the ground material was soft and causing the deck to sink. He offered to fix it, FREE OF CHARGE. It wasn't his fault the ground was soft, it just shows how much integrity he has in his work. Hands down, I would recommend him to anyone. My neighbor immediately asked for his contact!

They also left concrete debris from removing an old post in my raised bed. They were the cheapest bid ($950), but I now have a gate with holes that I will need to replace in a few years. Wouldn't recommend.

Our old 30 year old 400 SQ ft. deck was in need of replacement and we are in our 80's and have some special needs because of that. BE WARNED, THE 4.5 STAR RATING IS DUE TO THE PREVIOUS OWNER. IT DOES NOT REFLECT THE CURRENT…read moreOWNER'S REPUTATION!!! BE WARNED! Short Review: I would NEVER recommend this company ever again due to their lack of commitment to stand behind the quality of their company name, as guaranteed on their website. This company is NOTHING like what the previous owner, Brent, built and stood behind. Long Review: I have to agree with Brian F. in regards to the new owner Damon. He is extremely non-responsive. My husband and I worked with Brent, the previous owner, and he was EXCEPTIONAL! Truly! But, we had to reach out this year, 3 yrs after our three level $115k project was completed regarding some settling of some of the posts that needed to be shored up and hoped to get it done quickly. We reached out to Damon in early May 2025 to see about having it looked at. On May 19, 2025, Damon came out to take a look at the decks and said he'd reach out to someone who would be the expert in what would need to be done. After several attempts to receive an update from Damon with no reply, we reached out to the previous owner, Brent, to ask if he could assist in us getting a response from Damon. Finally, on August 5, my husband was able to connect with Grant and shared his frustrations of not receiving any update from Damon. Grant stated he'd talk with Damon and someone would get back to us. Damon called back and stated that the fix for the problem was 'tricky' and he'd be working with another vendor to come and jack up the deck, pour some concrete and get it cared for. That vendor reached out to us on August 26, and came by to assess the decks a few days later. This individual provided what he felt needed to be done and stated that he would let Damon know the solution. It took another 6 weeks of my husband trying to get a response from Damon as to where we were in getting this resolved and at least what it was going to take. We didn't know if Lifestyles would pay for the fix or split it with us or if we would be expected to pay for it ourselves, but we just wanted to have a reply so we could move forward. Today, my husband left another message, stating how we just needed to have a response and that we were concerned about the deck continuing to worsen due to coming into the rainy season. FINALLY, Damon called us back today only to tell us that he was not going to do anything in regards to caring for the repair and that he was 'sorry' that he had not communicated that to us when we initally reached out 5 months prior. He stated that the guarantee of the workmanship was not his problem as the work was done prior to him owning the business. He did not seem to care that the name or the reputation of the company could suffer due to his lack of 'good faith' customer care. I did share that if we would have known that, we could have gotten quotes and had it repaired during the summer months. Now that is the rainy season, will anyone want to take that on? Damon did not seem to care that we were extremely frustrated with the lack of communication and the lack of telling us up front that the responsibility of the repair would be on us. This company is no longer one that I would EVER recommend. You can see by my glowing review in May 2022 when our project was completed and the care that the previous owner, Brent, provided is CLEARLY not the same with the new owner, Damon. We are horribly disappointed.
