My wife and I have been contracting Bob for nearly 5 years. Over that time he has done a wide…read morevariety jobs for us ranging from shower installations, air vent repairs, lighting installation, siding, painting(one house that needed serious prep), concrete repair, garage roof restructuring, and various other minor improvements. He has also on multiple occasions noticed things that might need fixing and has suggested repairs and/or improvements. This is all without any pressure or obvious intent to drum up more business. I have also found him to be very resourceful and he has added his own suggestions on doing the project better than we had intended without any additional costs. He and his two man team are very hard working and just downright pleasant people to work with. They are all very courteous and careful to clean up the job site when complete. Finally, every bid we have received has been quite reasonable. He will work with you as a partner and in that kind of relationship both parties will benefit a great deal. If you are a micro-manager you will lose out on much of his value. He will do things exactly as you wish, but we suggest you take advantage of his wealth of experience.

I have used Bob for a couple of projects now - the most recent was for power washing the sludge off…read morethe front of my house, and for pruning my overgrown tree. His bid was less than half of what the competition was asking, and he went above and beyond what I asked or expected him to do. My house looks as good as the day I bought it now, and every time I drive up it brings a smile to my face. Thank you so much!!

G.I. Junkers

As a service member, I am appalled with the overall experience and service with G.I. Junkers. Not…read moreonly did they NOT complete a major portion of the job we initially contracted and paid them to do, they cut every corner (leaving the home borderline unsafe), and essentially abandoned the project. Additionally, they had the audacity to hand us a makeshift excel bid/estimate which basically said "you owe us another 10,000.00," without any true explanation. Their so called "owners" refused to produce any documentation, change orders, or a break down of where our money went. They didn't return phone calls for days, left tens of texts unanswered, and never met with us in person when it came time to "settle up." I am in the process of ensuring that NO VETERAN or SERVICE MEMBER will ever have to experience what we went through. These guys are fraudulent, borderline criminal. The list goes on. Absolutely DO NOT consider G.I Junkers for any project you may have; especially if you have any appreciation for the core beliefs which exist within the military. I don't even think these guys could handle installing a light bulb properly at this point. And if they did... they would hand you an estimate for $ 2.50, and then send you a bill for $ 25,000.00, while threatening to place a lien on your first home. Please, PLEASE... feel free to reach out to me if you need any further explanation. And, DO NOT give these guys the time of day.

This is a general contracting company. Long story short, they were hired in Oct. 2018 to complete…read morean estimated 18 day job. Over the course of two months, G.I. and its 1099 crew spent an approximate 10-14 days total working on a home remodel. They hired subcontractors who charged thousands of dollars more to complete jobs on the bid that had been proposed and did so without informing the homeowner. The original bid was priced at roughly $40k, with a $25k personal bank check given to G.I. weeks before the job started. As of today, the homeowner has learned that NO-ONE has been paid out of that $25k, to include G.I.'s own crew and subcontractors. The homeowner is now looking at spending an additional $30k to pay everyone that provided services to their residence. G.I. Junkers is a sorry excuse for a 'veteran owned' company. Avoid the owners, Shawn Alex Walter and Anthony Wagenknecht for ANY of your handyman needs.
