She did a great job asking questions to ensure that she and I were on the same page about what my expectations were about the shape of my soon to be microbladed eyebrows. She drew them on, listened to my feed back, made adjustments, and we were off to the races. ( She's really good about checking in and making adjustment.) And that was that. I think the whole thing took about 2 hours. The procedure itself feels a bit like a fresh sunburn. The pre and post care directions are clear and pretty easy to follow. It's been about a week now, and I'm really enjoying my new eyebrows. I still feel like they're going to wash off in the shower, but so far so good!

So to be fair this happened a while ago but I was just reminded of the experience recently and it…read moremade me pretty upset again I went in for my first bikini/brazillian wax ever, and apparently the hair was not quite long enough to do an effective wax. she told me this but then still went through with the wax, and it was awful. it hurt so bad, and it didn't work because my hair wasn't long enough. so she didn't do the entire thing, and then used tweezers at the end to get the rest of the hair. I was in pain for a week after that, and had a terrible reaction. Curious why she would continue through with a service knowing it wasn't under the proper conditions. She also still charged me full price, even though she couldn't do the full service. I haven't gotten a wax since this because it was such a bad experience.

When I'm paying this much money for a professional service, I expect the stylist to take her time and make sure I don't walk out of the salon with dye left on my face and skin. That was a huge disappointment for me. What made it even more disappointing was looking at pictures of other clients and not seeing them leave with color on their skin. It made me wonder why that same level of care wasn't taken with me. If you aren't being careful enough to remove the color from my skin before I leave, it makes me question how much care and attention is being given to my hair as well. I also expected more highlights and dimension. My hair came out much darker than I expected, and when I looked at it afterward, it just didn't have the pizzazz I was hoping for. I felt like what I wanted wasn't completely heard. I understand that a stylist has professional opinions about what is best for my hair, but ultimately I am the client, and I want to feel included and listened to. Trust is extremely important to me when choosing a hairstylist. When I find someone who listens to me, takes care of my hair, and makes me love the result, I am extremely loyal and will continue going back regardless of the cost. I was hoping Abby could be that stylist for me, but unfortunately this experience did not give me that confidence. The haircut itself was okay, but overall I was very disappointed. For me, it's not just about the final color. It's about the care and attention you receive when you're spending your hard-earned money. Unfortunately, I didn't feel I received that level of care.
