Their staff is rude as can be,…read moremy girlfriend and I came in to get a loan for a medical emergency, there was only one lady working (Indian lady) and a line of more than 6 people. We were there for OVER AN HOUR while she went back and forth between 3 people. My girlfriends card doesn't swipe right (we brought checks just in case) because her strip is kind of outdated. It wouldn't swipe so I brought my card in because we have THE SAME ACCOUNT. After an hour of being there we were told we couldn't get the loan because of that issue. She literally THREW the papers back through the window and said "sorry can't help you and here is why" and left to attend to another customer. HOW FUCKING RUDE? We walked out in fury; only to come back in really quick to make sure she shredded the information we gave her. She said she needed to keep it on file, so we said "well it would be nice to know this instead of being rude" and she just shrugged her shoulders and kept attending to the customer who JUST WALKED IN. We had been there over an hour for this service? I am never ever going back to any Ace Cash Expresses because of this. BULLSHIT. I am also complaining to corporate!

I had proof of income of over $5K a month plus a title to a vehicle and a one time income payment to be received within 90 days of upwards of $200K. Spent two hours at the store, verifying income at corporate office after already having all documents from corporate office faxed, plus a certified court document notarized income document. Had to get a office phone number that was public and they could find on line to prove the job existed, then two ID forms and almost rejected a Federal State Department ID card took a few minutes for them to see if federal identification was acceptable. Had a clear title to a vehicle which was present for inspection and after two hours of detailed verifying all things were correct to include active checking accounts and a real bank, my value for a loan was only $300. I found that seriously laughable. I did observe people with incomes way less getting some kind of loans and seemed to be ok with the process. Have not went through a loan process for nearly 20 years, from my recollection it wasn't this difficult and don't recall federal identification being an issue. Perhaps this is normal and i just got annoyed with the 2 hour process to finally inform me after all those hard fact finding verifications over and over again that i was only worth a $300 dollar loan. They had the same outdated and fragile card for the past ten years. They only recently in the last four days rolled out a new card that is made out of the same garbage plastic material. In addition to this, all the features were not available when it launched you couldn't use the contactless payment for the first 24-48 hours it went live. They also decline payments due to fraudulent activity without notifying you, and it seems to be random. Tried to get gas and they declined it with no call. It declined three times in a day and then they call asking if someone else is making charges on my card five minutes from my house. They also are only open till 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Wednesday. How on Earth is that ok? What happens if you get out of class and go try to get gas and it declines. You are stranded there because they all already left and can't do anything. Also you better put your debit card in a titanium case, because if it even bends ever so slightly at all, you will chip issues and swipe issues until you can get a new one. I would not recommend this bank to anyone. It is so bad that the only positive reviews are from people who work there or are friends with people who work there. No one and I mean no one who I've spoken to who is an actual patron of the bank has ever said anything good about this bank. Please never EVER bank here under any circumstances.
