My son went to open a checking account here, He handed Tami his Social Security Card and Texas Driver's License. We sat as she typed all the information in and printed out some papers. Upon reviewing, she had put his name in as his first name and then his middle name as his last name. WHA?? Could she not read ID cards? Basic. She apologized and corrected the glaring error then sent us to the teller to deposit his money. My son walked over and the teller SNAPPED at him. "You'll have to WAIT! I'm with another customer, and I don't know how long it will take!!" Needless to say, we left.
Then to boot, I wanted to let customer service know what is going on at this bank. Initially a nice woman took all the information down and said someone would call me. Let's call her "Martha." A day later, (I guess she was a woman from Corporate) called my number. She asked for "Martha." I told her there was no one here by that name. She asked for "Martha" again! I said, "Ma' am, there is no one here by that name." And I hung up. Amegy representatives are confused and need more training. read more
