Chappell Hill Bank Terri Blockuhvich, assistant bank manager of loans, doesn't honor their word or…read morethe promises with loans. Ms. Blockuhvich knew that my accounts were in good standing with good credit, so naturally, I asked for a lower rate from 7 1/2 to 4 percent; she agreed after speaking to her 'board'! After eleven months of saying yes, but I have been so busy, or out of town, etc., the closing date for the new lower rate never happened. So I paid off my loan and gave her the option to reimburse me the eleven months that she promised at the lower rate of 3 1/2 percent or risk me moving all of my money and accounts out of Chappell Hill Bank. She excused herself to go and talk to her 'BOARD' and came back and said, we won't honor our word and will not pay you the 11,000 dollars. I told her my business was over here, and within two business, days I moved the bulk of my funds out. If you can't trust your banker at their word, then you can trust them at all--end of the story. I was doing some research and was looking at different banks here in the area. I noticed there was a bunch of branches everywhere I was driving in the Bryan/College Station area. I just wanted a simple free checkings account. I wasn't worried about maintenance and anything fancy. I'm old school, just write simple checks to pay some bills and move on with life lol. Anyways, I was with Sabrina who had her own office. She was very patient with me and my 100 questions that I had for her lol. I haven't opened up a bank account in over 20yrs. I was in a bit of a rush because of outside appointments and errands that I had to run before I started work. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. She gave me different options and made it understandable. They have branches all over. My next step is to secure a safe deposit box at one of their branches. Mahalo Sabrina
