We had front windshield tint delamination. Ace said the only solution was to buy a new windshield for $750. They said our Prius had the center sandwiched film having issues. They also had the son (expert ) come out yo look at it as a second opinion. I hate shops trying to rip customers off. We drove to the Maui auto tint shop who said its a very easy tintvremoval. No need for a new windshield. We easily removed tint ourself. It's super easy with a simple steamer. read more

My back glass on my brand new Suburu busted out like a piñata on Friday. I was able to supply them the glass and they had my car in the shop & being worked on at 8:30am sharp on Saturday morning. The very next day. All I can say is my worst nightmare was realized by Saturday evening here in Kahakuloa when it started to pour down rain. Had Ace not repaired my car when they did... My work van was broken into and I needed to replace a side window. It seems like these guys are the ONLY ones left that can replace auto windows. The entire process was NOT smooth. They told me to text a different number the details for the window, they quoted me, I agreed, they were to tell me when it arrives in 2-3 weeks. After week 4 I call them and ask if it arrived, it already had. Had to schedule a time to come in a week later. All in all it took about 6 weeks to get my window fixed for my work van. I stopped by Ace Auto glass on aFriday afternoon with a last minute request to have two 1/4" thick plexiglass shields measuring 2' x 3' with legs and I needed it by Monday. Without any hesitation, Steve said he could do it. I was so relieved to have found a place that actually had the necessary materials in stock, as the previous vendors I reached out to did not. I was very pleased with Pia and her office staff. They were all so very helpful. What a wonderful team!!! I truly admired their "we can, we will" attitude. All of my questions were answered and as promised, I got the plexiglass shields on Monday. I was really pressed for time. Trying to get my car registered but had a cracked windshield and DMV wouldn't give me new registration. I asked Ace how fast they could install a new windshield. They ordered the windshield and had it the next day, today. At the last minute, I had to go to the doctor. I told them of my time constraints and they miraculously finished putting in the new glass within less than two hours! Pia is a GEM. I had to stop in because an unfortunate mishap with the car dealer, and we had a scratched windshield. Fortunately for us, Pia was able to take a look at the van right away, give us an estimate, and also mention the various options available for our vehicle. We knew there were options for "factory glass" but didn't realize the range of windshields available for a vehicle. She told us the pricing, which ones she had available in stock and also which ones would be special ordered. Instead of having me wait to write up an official estimate, she took the dealer's info down and followed up with them directly. I got the call approving the replacement, and Pia was able to schedule me on the day I could leave my van for a bit. She also made sure to emphasize she would be billing/invoicing the dealership and not me. Super friendly, Super fast and also super clean. I have to mention that while waiting I noticed that there were a few places to sit and wait. Some stools and some couches. How nice! What an amazing experience! I had part of a GPS unit that had been on my windshield for almost 10 years and it could never safely be removed. When I went in for a safety inspection, the technician would not even work on it until the windshield was totally free of any obstruction. He suggested going to an auto glass repair shop and I went to Ace Auto Glass. The owner took me in immediately and in 20 minutes my windshield was obstruction free!! Horrible quality. Did not take pride in their work! They were to reseal my rear window and it was literally caulked like you would caulk a bathroom sink or toilet. Sent it back to have it cleaned up and resealed properly and it was not cleaned up well and you could see the scrapings on my vehicle of where they had to scrape the caulking off. read more

OK. So I didn't even get any work done here. They still get 5 stars for integrity and honesty. I bought a "maui cruiser" and it had a windshield tint on it. I couldn't really see through it and it was scratched up and peeling off. Took it for an estimated to replace the windshield. $360. Ok not bad. Brought it in the next day for the job to be done. The person doing the work called within an hour and said wait! You don't NEED a new windshield. Yours is intact. You just need to get that window tint film removed and you will be good to go. Picked up my car and was given several phone numbers by them to get the film/tint removed. I will get some estimates but my ohana says YouTube it. Spray bottle sponge water and a little elbow grease should do it. I am glad they were helpful with someone who doesn't know her way around cars. Saved me a lot of money and gave me great advice. read more

My experience with Ace was a good one. Rear window smashed on a 2015 Mercedes. No one could get me a replacement quickly except Ace. They were great to work with on the phone, got back to me as they said they would, and even dropped me off back at work 20 miles away after I left them my car. Took my truck to the shop and within 4 hours of my scheduled appointment to fix my broken window, it was done. Took about two days from ordering the window to it being delivered. Once it was delivered, scheduled apt to the earliest time available which was two days later. Would've been a 5 star if communication was better. Told me they were going to call me back to follow up with the window needing to be replaced and I've waited two days (while calling each day to ask what's going on). So just to give a general idea of how long I was driving around with a shattered window before it got fixed, about a week which isn't too bad considering this is one of the only businesses on island that fixes windows. read more

The glass of my side view mirror fell off. Called the dealer who had one option for $220+. Instead, I went to Ace. The technician precisely crafted one for me--$55. While I was waiting, I noticed they had a product to remove hard water spots. The very nice lady demonstrated how it worked on auto glass. She told me she used it to clean her glass stove top--which is why I wanted it. It worked better than magic! I then tried it on my stainless steel refrigerator below the ice maker and water spout. Last week Monday I woke up to find that someone smashed my car window in an attempt to ruin my day. After making a police report and calling my office to let them know I'd be late, I googled "Kahului Auto Glass" and called the first business name that popped up. It happened to be Ace Auto Glass. I called and spoke to Pia. I explained my current plight and asked for a quote. Pia was amazing. She was friendly and nice and told me that if I brought the car in right away and put a small deposit down on the repair, they would hook me up with a plexi-glass window as a courtesy until the window needed for my car came in. Since I was planning to bring my car in anyway, I asked for another quote for my windshield, which had been damaged by a previous (non-malicious) accident. She told me that if I could spare the car for a few hours, they would not only plexi-glass my window, but change my windshield as well at a price less than what I had been quoted in the past. Long story short, in two short days Ace Auto Glass had my car looking like brand new at half the cost I thought I would have to pay. They even vacuumed my carpet at no extra charge. My son cracked his windshield with changing out his windshield wipers on his Toyota Tacoma. I literally called Ace Auto Glass and spoke with Maria at 4:30 in the afternoon and had an appointment the very next morning. Every time we spoke with Maria she was very cordial and professional. We arrived and the windshield was replaced within 2.5 hours. They were so sweet to put on the windshield wipers for us since that was what caused the crack and we were afraid to try again. Maria gave my son explicit instructions on the care of his windshield over the next eight hours. This place is awesome. Needed to get the front window fixed to pass safety. Called on Monday just to see if they had the window in stock, they did, made an appointment for Thursady at 8:45. I arrived at 7:45 wait for them to open and leave my vehicle as my ride was going to pick me up at 8:00. As I was waiting for them to open Pia (I hope that's spelled right) arrived to open the shop. Before even opening the shop doors she came up to me and began helping me telling me we would get to the paperwork once the shop doors were opened, finished up paperwork by 8:05. Three hours later they called and said I could pick up my car as it was done. They replaced the window faster than Honda changing the oil on my wife's car and they were both dropped off close to the same time.
