APE-X Maui was the only shop that didn't use bondo; they replaced everything with new parts and did a fantastic job painting complete panels in their top-notch paint room. They estimated a turnaround of 7 days, but I was amazed to have my car back in just 6 days. You genuinely cannot tell that it was ever in an accident. I've had cars repaired from NYC to San Francisco, and APE-X Maui is as good, if not better, than any place I've experienced. A heartfelt triple Mahalo to them!

Downgrading to one star…read more With the bad rain storm last week, it was hard to fully inspect the job done on my car. But, today I found 13 places on my front bumper where the paint was scraped off / chipped. 13.... That's an awful lot. Mind you, the damage I came in for was a dent to my front door. The parts affected during the repair (front bumper, sideview mirror, door handle) were "remove and install" only. They were in great condition beforehand.... no chips, no scratches, no sticky black residue, no damage. I took photos before the repair. I also handwash my car. So, I know what my car looked like before. I'm more than disappointed as I feel my fairly new car (3 years old, bought brand new) was not treated with care. I definitely regret having my car repaired here. And I'm not comfortable having them do any further work on it to undo the damage they did. Side note: Paint was not a 100% match. Their website FAQs state they guarantee your paint will match.

Phoned in, got a quote with drop off time a few days later. Look for the blue and white building (east side of Nakamura Mortuary) with the sign "Truck Shop Maui" on the facade. There are a few parking stalls out front. After a day and a half, I got my vehicle back. Zero signs of the damage, a flawless paint job and no overspray. Service and workmanship was second to none. OVERALL: Can't get into the larger body shops on Maui? Support a smaller-scale, local biz with equally, if not better skills!

Recently I needed their services again with a little more damage than a small fender bender. This repair was fairly extensive requiring many new parts along with body work and the painting of the entire front end and the entire drivers side front to back. The inspection process was very thorough and all parts were ordered quickly and accurately, parts were delivered within 2 weeks and all repairs were completed within 9 days. My experience with Precision after this accident was outstanding . After an accident you're normally a little nervous about the repair process however after meeting with CeeJay all my concerns were alleviated. CeeJay is professional, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable that the process was going to be successful. One of the MOST important things for me is communication and this is where CeeJay exceeded my expectations, he communicated with me frequently during the process, informing me each step of the way ie. Parts ordered, insurance company updates, parts delivered. Even after dropping off my car he communicated updates during the repair process. While the quality of the repairs and painting is very important, I feel that the quality of their employees is equally as important. Thank you Precision for another GREAT job and especially to CeeJay who deserves 10 stars for all his efforts, it is very much appreciated.

Aside from the excellent customer Stan and Elsa provide they also go above and beyond customer expectations. For the past 5 years my back windows weren't working properly. Several mechanics had told me the motors on both sides needed to be replaced. As it was an expensive repair I opted not to fix them. When speaking with Stan about this he offered to fix the windows if feasible. I came back to pick up my car after about 4 hours. Not only were the windows sleek and able to be seen out of but the windows were rolling down without issues ! No charge for this ! I was blown away especially after receiving quotes to replace the motors with service would be around $1,000. Before I left Stan also buffed out my headlights (also complimentary) to complete my car's makeover. While talking story he told me that he enjoys helping people even if they don't pay him for all his services. There's been times that as someone who doesn't have extensive background information about cars I'm often overwhelmed, hesitant and stressed about basic car repairs. I've been able to receive referrals from friends and family to help if issues come up. When interacting with Stan it felt like I was being helped by my uncle who really wanted to ensure my lil Honda Fit would look spotless and also function higher than it has the last few years. 77 days. That's how long Master Auto Center had my 2010 Camaro…read more I brought it in on April 23rd for an engine shutoff issue, AC problems, suspension, and steering concerns. I wanted to support local. I came back for a third time believing they'd deliver. Third time was not the charm. They told me the battery was too weak to even begin diagnosis, and quoted me a price that sent me straight to Costco for a much better deal. Once that was sorted, they diagnosed a P0601, a corrupted ECM, and recommended a repair-and-return service through a company called GOECM for $772. I did my research, pushed back, asked the right questions, and they assured me it was the right call. Weeks passed. The GOECM unit arrived. They installed it. The car wouldn't start, not because of the original problem, but because GOECM sent a blank, improperly cloned module that threw three new security lockdown codes: U0100, P0513, and P1613. My car was now more broken than when I dropped it off. In fact, it wouldn't even start. Now here's where it gets good. When I went in person to check on my car after two months, I found food wrappers, napkins, plastic utensils, and soy sauce packets inside my vehicle. Someone was fine dining in my car, truly having an exquisite time at my Camaro's expense. On top of that, for the entire duration my car sat there, the doors and windows were left open. When I showed up I found actual paw prints inside and outside of my car, because apparently whatever animal wanted to sleep in my Camaro for two months was welcome to do so. They tried a locksmith. Couldn't fix it. They tried GOECM again. Couldn't fix it. Eventually my car had to be towed to a dealership because nobody else could touch it. The dealer confirmed the GOECM unit was defective and that I needed a brand new OEM ECM at $1,838.85 just for that alone. The total bill climbed from $1,363 to $3,589. When I finally got the car back, it was returned with oil and grease on the interior, sticky surfaces, debris everywhere, and I kid you not, a piece of a plastic fork still sitting inside. The exterior had grime and oil still stuck to it from the shop. The AC blower motor they replaced, which is what controls airflow through your vents, now runs louder than it ever should coming off a fresh install. They also quietly slipped 1.5 hours of "special cut out labor" onto the final invoice that was never discussed or approved beforehand. And the steering? Stiffer than before I brought it in. Nobody mentioned it, nobody explained it. The suspension was never fixed either. Both were on the original concern list. I think they just wanted me and my car gone, so they waived those charges and called it a day. To be fair, the ECM works now and the AC was serviced. So it's not zero stars. But 77 days, a defective third party part, a tow to the dealer, a $2,200 price jump, animals living in my car, someone's soy sauce and fork left behind, and steering that's worse than before? That's a 1 star experience. These guys? Trust them to top off your fluids and swap an air filter. Anything beyond that, heed the other low reviews on here. Or don't. I'm not your dad.

The mechanic answered, "You're talking to me, right?" so my husband texted to let him know we were holding off on the work. We had no way of knowing it was the shop's landline, and it was never mentioned. A week later, the mechanic called asking if we were still bringing the van in. When I explained that we had already texted to cancel, he became short and dismissive, told me he had blocked off the entire day, and waved off the fact that we had reached out by saying, "Yeah, you texted the shop phone." When I pointed out that he had told my husband to use that number, he said "yeah, yeah" and hung up on me. I understand that a last-minute change can be frustrating for a business, and if there was a mix-up about which number to use, that is worth clarifying for future customers. But responding to a paying customer by talking over them and hanging up is not professional. We won't be returning. Good mechanics are worth keeping, but basic respect for your customers should come standard.

I stopped by Studio today to have them look at some scratches that I had in my paint. I was concerned about swirling because it is a very nice black paint job, so everything shows on it. Matthew helped me. He was super accommodating, knowledgeable and confident that he could handle the job without any issues....and that he did! Paint looks like new and he took great care of me. While I sat in the waiting room, I also listened to the reception person taking time to very thoroughly describe the step by step process of repair for a lady who apparently had front end damage to her vehicle. Really really bad experience!!! I would give 0 star if I could. They repaired my car for me, and two weeks later, theres problem on the car already(on the parts they have done which costs me over 6 thousand) They was going to order parts to fix it. They told me takes a about one week, but it took them 2 months to get a response. I called when almost one month from the time they put in the order. The guy who answer the phone told me he will call me back which never call back. I called back two days later, no one is answering the call!!! I left messages and no body return my call!!! I really can't trust their service and professionalism any more. I will never go back again!!! read more
