I'm not someone that writes a lot of reviews but I felt compelled to share my experience with this company and warn future prospects. As a female business owner myself I was super excited to find a newer company with all positive reviews to support. I reached out to the owner, Kristine and she was super communicative and very helpful right off the bat. I had her technician Artur come out give us an estimate and we soon after confirmed ordering the parts and getting the work done prior to my family arriving. She had let us know to unplug the fridge the morning of and when he arrived he said it should've been done the day before. Either way he was able to accommodate us and make it work and I was very grateful. Unfortunately I didn't get anything in writing from him invoice wise. The work was completed on August 19th. We were told that after these parts were replaced it should restore the fridge and we should have no further issues. On September 30th I reached out to Kristine as 2 nights before the fan that they replaced was making weird noises pretty loudly and now days later our temperature was off and the fridge food had started turn and I was under the impression overall it had started to not work again. After a few hours she wrote back and told us that they no longer had weekend hours and would get back to me on Monday. On Monday she reached out to me and basically told me she could not accommodate any type of request until Wednesday afternoon. I immediately replied and let her know that I had just had surgery and I really need to get someone out ASAP with the Jewish holiday this week, asking if there was anything that could be done sooner. We went back-and-forth and she first said she would try, but later tried to say that their work was only guaranteed for 30 days. I told her that the parts would be guaranteed for a year according to California law and because it had barely been a month I was really hoping she could make right by the situation. She instantly said she would reach out and see if she could squeeze us in on Tuesday. After quite a bit of back-and-forth and frustration on my part I received this. (Photo) To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I even addressed my concern that some of their five star reviews and reviews in general had now disappeared and I was worried. I expressed to her that I was a business owner as well and if they made right by the situation and honored their work and the job done I would write a positive review to help. Nothing mattered and now I'm left spending more money with a broken fridge from a business that advertises fixing things entirely not temporarily for 40 days. I would beware of this business and if you can find another company with higher reviews and better customer service I suggest reading others experiences and not working with them. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and doing everything I can to warn future customers to not have the terrible experience I did

I had an excellent experience with Sam Appliance Repair. I called Friday night around 6:18 PM about…read moreour refrigerator, which had stopped cooling. Sam was extremely responsive and immediately set up an appointment for the next day between 3-6 PM. I mentioned I had another commitment in the afternoon, but Sam insisted on coming in the morning between 9-10 AM to take a look himself. He quickly diagnosed that the fan wasn't working and replaced it right away, providing a 3-month warranty for parts and labor. Later that same day, around 10:30 PM, the refrigerator stopped working again, no compressor or fan sound, but the power was on. Since it was the weekend, I couldn't reach him immediately. On Monday morning, I called Sam, and he promptly scheduled an appointment for the same day between 3-6 PM. He arrived on time, diagnosed that the main board had failed, and ordered a replacement part. Two days later, Sam came back without me needing to follow up, replaced the board, and our refrigerator was working perfectly again. He charged a very reasonable price and gave a 1-year warranty for parts and labor. Sam is polite, professional, and genuinely cares about helping his customers. I feel so lucky to have found Sam Appliance Repair, this is exactly why he deserves 5 stars. Thank you so much, Sam!

I got proper and timely notifications about the appointment. When the person came home to repair my refrigerator, everything was great except the pricing part. He told me within 5 minutes that I needed a new inverter. He was upfront about the price, so I give him credit for that. He gave me an estimate of $750 for the parts + labor. I asked him how much the part was and he said somewhere near $350 and that they charge roughly an equal amount for labor. He spent about 20 minutes replacing the inverter and got the refrigerator working. I paid $750. My issue is two-fold: 1. The part is available at various stores for $120 - $200. It's available at Parts Warehouse for $168.77 - here's the link: https://www.partswarehouse.com/Whirlpool-Maytag-KitchenAid-Amana-Invrtr-Box-WPL-p/WPL-W11087200.htm?Click=365719&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22336945823&gbraid=0AAAAAD2kFS0HdA6cZILNm8gFvI44PQgIq&gclid=Cj0KCQiA7fbLBhDJARIsAOAqhscIYDuloSSwVWPUIo2aeZR-oQ0bwGpiOhQMNGgdXKNEOs_7XoU7Sh0aArZQEALw_wcB 2. Second part of my issue is that I was charged $400 for 20 minutes of his labor + expertise, even if I accept their part pricing of $350. That's a little too steep. I wish I had done my research!
