There's a reason why I've never stopped going here for all of my cars & the same goes for my parents. This place has become my family's go-to mechanic as my grandma also goes here now after we recommended she take the over 30-year old car with over 200,000 miles on it here as she refused to give up on getting it fixed. My grandma's previous mechanic failed/refused to repair it but United Auto took on the beast of a job & got it done. The owner Teddy even towed her car from her house to their shop & back for free whenever a new issue occurred while she's at home or work rather than her taking it over herself & getting a ride as she's the only driver in her household; also giving her discounts throughout the process. They also replaced an entire engine in my Mom's car. The team at United Auto Repair do a wonderful job on all of my family's different types & ages of cars. They are genuinely good people that make me feel like I'm not being ripped off as their prices seem reasonable to me; a person who is sort of a car-fanatic. I feel like my cars are in good hands in their care & my family & I will continue to recommend them to our family & friends the same way I'm recommending them to the reader of this lengthy feedback.

WOW - Great Service!…read more On a recent trip up north to our daughter's college graduation, I was getting off of Hyw 99 near Stockton when I noticed my battery gauge was heading south, then the radio shut off - at that moment I knew we were in trouble. My F-150 was still running, but I figured that my alternator died and I started to look for a repair garage. I turned down the first industrial side street I could find, and BOOM - there was a one-car-garage with a mechanic hard at work. The mild-mannered mechanic stopped what he was doing and came to our rescue. After performing a few test, he ordered my part and said, "go have lunch for a couple of hours, I'll call you when it's done". We did, but it was only an hour and a half before Cesar was calling us to come get our truck and get on our way. It was luck that we broke down where we did, but it was MORE THAN LUCK that we rolled up to Quintero's Auto Repair! THANK YOU Cesar for making our trip a happy adventure, not a bad nightmare.

AAMCO Transmission & Total Car Care - Manager Brandon…read more I've owned my Montero Sport for 25 years. She's more than just a vehicle--she's carried me through some of the hardest chapters of my life. Earlier this year, I began experiencing issues: the check engine light came on, and at residential speed, it felt like someone had hit me from behind--though no one was around. I took my vehicle to a shop I'd previously used for routine maintenance. After a diagnostic, they told me I needed a new transmission, quoting me over $5,000. What followed was nearly three months of delays, incorrect parts, excuses, and ultimately a suggestion to "graveyard" my Montero. I refused. My vehicle still had life in her, and I wasn't about to let go without a real solution. Searching online, I found AAMCO. While I was hesitant due to mixed reviews, I called and spoke with Manager Brandon. From the first conversation, he was respectful, professional, and kind. I explained everything I had gone through. He offered me a clear estimate, assured me they had financing options, and most importantly--he listened. From start to finish, Brandon kept me informed every step of the way. All communication was remote ~ I never stepped foot in the shop--but I always felt like my vehicle was in good hands. After just two weeks, my Montero was up and running smoothly, for a Catalytic Converter replacement and the cost was nowhere near what the previous shop had quoted. Even better, Brandon made sure my vehicle was safely secured for pickup after hours. I'm big on customer service, and I can truly say I was treated with dignity and care throughout this process. Brandon, thank you sincerely ~you are deeply appreciated for helping me through what had become an exhausting ordeal. You and your team at AAMCO restored my trust and brought my Montero back to life. I will absolutely return here for any future repairs, and I highly recommend speaking with Brandon if you're in need of honest and efficient service. Thank you again, Brandon. -- Jamaca'

I recommend you get multiple estimates from other shops to compare the "value" SDS is giving you…read more My wife's car broke down in the area so I had it towed to SDS because they had decent reviews. I called SDS ahead of time to coordinate and they said to bring it in and they could take a look at it. After the car was dropped off by the tow truck, THEN they said they would charge me $260 to run diagnostics on the electrical system. That would have been nice to know before it was unloaded from the tow truck, or I would have taken it somewhere else. I told them I wouldn't pay that and that $100 would be more reasonable. With no hesitation he dropped his price to $175 (still way too much). Clearly, they are charging whatever they think they can get away with and hope you don't speak up. From that point on, I could see there was no reason to trust these guys. The next day, they quoted me $500 for a new battery install and they said that the rear brakes are metal on metal and need to be replaced now. They quoted me battery and brakes replacement combined at $1100. So I drove down, had them jumpstart the car and I drove it to my mechanic in Folsom. He didn't charge me anything to run the diagnostic, and confirmed it needed a new battery but said that I had a few 1000 more miles remaining on the brakes. I went ahead and replaced the battery and the rear brakes for $720 total. Best case, SDS is just way overpriced and exaggerate a little on needed repairs. Hopefully they treat their regular customers better than people in an emergency.

This was one of the few times that I had used Yelp's project feature to find a mechanic. Robles's auto repair was the quickest to reply and also ended up having one of the most competitive prices. Using the project feature of Yelp allowed me to stay in constant communication with Gabriel. I was kept abreast of the repairs on my vehicle and they even stuck around a little after hours to make sure I could get my car after the repairs were done. That Stockton traffic can be a doozy. The issue with my vehicle was a leak in the radiator that Mercedes said would cost $2400 to repair at the dealership, but with Robles's auto repair, I was able to do it for under $800. The parts in general are not what's expensive just my model and Mercedes has a lot of pieces that have to be removed to get access to the radiator. Now my car is running great and I should be good for a long time. If you're looking for a family run business, this is your next stop for your engine, rebuild transmission, rebuild, and general automotive repairs

From the very first message, their responsiveness stood out. Communication was prompt, clear, and respectful, which immediately set the tone for the experience. That professionalism carried through every step, from the initial contact to dropping off our Escalade for new brakes and rotors. The shop itself isn't flashy, and that turns out to be part of its charm. What it lacks in frills, it more than makes up for in competence and integrity. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and straightforward, with no upselling or pressure. Most importantly, the work was completed exactly when they said it would be, something that feels increasingly rare in auto repair. The quality of service paired with the best price we found made this an easy win. Robles Auto Repair proves that excellent service doesn't need a fancy showroom, just honesty, skill, and respect for the customer's time. Highly recommended.
