Bad customer service is not forgotten. Also what about false advertising? I think I'll be reporting to Better Business Bureau as no exclusions were listed online.

Limina has a plethora of options for facials, so much so that I really had no idea what I wanted or needed. so when I arrived Jessica walked out to greet me, looking at my skin. Yes, it is a little unnerving, but it's what I asked for... and she promptly decided on my skin care treatment. She lead me into a room with what can only be described as the most comfortable facial bed ever. I got undressed and into the soft sheets by the time she was back. Jessica takes her time and does things rhythmically and methodically. While other facials have included painful extraction, Jessica's was... well, heavenly. The extraction was literally pain and thus flinch free. And while your scrubs/steams/masks/lotions are working their magic, her hands are working their magic on you. One of the most relaxing massages in memory. I signed up for their membership, which I wasn't planning to do... but 30% off any treatment once a month? That makes it affordable to come in and get a facial regularly. And the facials? Are heaven. Particularly when you're in Jessica's hands. The entire experience cost less than expected, which pleased me greatly.

However, two days ago I went in for another eyebrow wax with the same esthetician, and came out with a very different result. I asked her to please leave the body of my brow the same width and simply to clean up and define the outline and remove stray hairs. I emphasized that I didn't want the width of my brows to change significantly, and that symmetry was my #1 priority. I also told her that my eyebrow hairs are quite easy to kill off and I would prefer trimming over tweezing/waxing if applicable. Well..... I came out with both eyebrows significantly thinner, asymmetrical in width and length, and with a patch of unwaxed hairs under my right arch. I shared these concerns with the esthetician. She mumbled something about how one side probably wouldn't grow back and hustled me out of the room. She had already applied eyebrow makeup (which I didn't want due to my concerns about infection, esp on freshly waxed skin) without asking me, and this made it even more difficult to really assess the situation, but when I went home, washed my face and really had a look, I was horrified. I have attached a picture below for you all to see for yourselves. I tried calling Limina. I told the receptionist my issue, and she immediately said she'd call me back. Once she did, all she said was "Sure, I guess you can come back now if you want her to fix it." Having been burned already, with a response like that, you can imagine that I didn't return and never will.

I didn't ask for the specifics, but it seemed like she either was texting or messaging someone directly, and was able to get us an appointment around the time when they were opening. We walked in at exactly our appointed time, and they had our seats waiting for us. They only had four employees at the time, and two of them were already assisting other customers, so my friend and I hopped into our seats to be assisted next,, while the hubby enjoyed the massage chair while he waited. This ended up being three manis and pedis, plus gels for all nails for the girls, and took around 1.75 hours because my friend was able to get some very cute hearts on top of the gels. Very, very thorough. They were able to clip my toe nails short and round, and did general maintenance on all nails/cuticles. The massages were great, too. Something that I really liked was that they try their best to not have the gel hit your skin; it's literally just a hair away from the skin at all directions. And the products they use were very good, as I haven't had any sort of skin reaction that I've had at other salons. The staff was hands-down amazing. They asked what we wanted, and they delivered every time. My friends' nails came out super-cute, and I'm very happy with mine. And the hubby's mani/pedi were possibly a little bit of a challenge (he has weird nails), but they got through it as much as they could. Would happily come back!!

When speaking with her I noticed she seemed a bit out of her body as though she maybe had had too much coffee or something, she was not grounded and present. We spoke for a bit then as instructed I laid face down on the table and she went to my right lower leg to move it and pulled it sideways in the opposite direction it naturally goes - I felt a warm sensation and knew in that moment something was wrong. For two months after that my right knee was in pain whenever I would walk anywhere. That was a few years ago, and I still at times upon walking too much (not often but it still happens) I feel there is a pocket of air in my right knee or very extremely subtle discomfort. I'm very grateful it's so very subtle, but it's still there when it wasn't at all before I went to see this practitioner. I didn't even go in for my legs or knees, it was for my spine. It just felt like it was sloppy service which has resulted in some sort of permanent injury. A reminder to anyone who reads this - if you notice any practitioner you meet does not seem present and in their body, cancel the appointment. Even if you're in the room. That is your right and okay to do. Not in a mean way, be kind about it but do what you feel you need to do.

I see Dr Koh for acupuncture and she is wonderful. Very caring and she listens to your concern. In the past, I dislike needles so she usually uses baby needles or does more cupping on me. Now I still dislike needles but can tolerate them more, so I think she uses the regular needles on me now. Besides just cupping and acupuncture, she is a TCM, so she also takes my pulse to check how my organs/body are doing. She has suggested taking supplements and medicinal tea or avoiding certain food to help with the ailments. The front desk staff is always very friendly. Paid street parking out front. Sometimes I park at Anvil Center if there is no spots and walk across.

The technician had extremely long, sharp nails that I could still feel underneath the gloves she wore, and during the service she repeatedly pressed into the skin around my toes. I told her several times that she was hurting me and asked her to be more careful, but the discomfort continued. By the next morning, my right big toe was swollen, red, painful, and difficult to walk on. I ended up seeing a doctor, who confirmed an infection and prescribed very expensive medication to treat it. I was also uncomfortable hearing staff speak about me during the appointment in a language I understand, believing I would not know what was being said. While the cosmetic result of the pedicure was acceptable, the pain, infection, medical treatment, and overall experience mean I will never be returning. And more importantly, I will make sure to keep telling everyone I know not to bother going to get their nails done at Champagne Nail Lounge in New West. My friends and neighbours definitely appreciate my warning for good reason.
