We bought a new house and wanted to change the locks. Basically every door had its own lock so we were also looking to reduce the number of keys we had to keep track of. On June 11th I was locked out of my home because I typically go in and out through my garage with the electric opener. The garage door broke as it was moving upward. There was a huge gaping hole on top of the garage where it went off track. I called for service and was told it would be 45 minutes for assistance. My dog and I were happy to sit in the shade and for wait service. I wound up waiting over 1.5 hr. I understand things happen but the service person was cavalier when he arrived and said "well you had nothing to do". He told me he would have to drill the front door and ruin the lock. I knew this was not true due to a prior incident. My 2nd floor slider was unlocked but he didn't have a latter tall enough. My neighbor used his ladder to climb through the opening atop the garage door ... Do yourself a favor. Research locksmiths and store the phone number in your smart phone. If the locksmith's attitude was less arrogant, I would have felt better about my experience even though I was charge $125.00 and he didn't get me in. read more
