This vendor seems to have excellent reviews and they probably do excellent work. My review is 100% related to communication and engagement when reaching out for a quote for services. Without getting in to the details, I reached out to them, provided pictures informed them of the work I needed done (which was not a lot by the way) and was told they would get back to me. Full disclosure they did tell me they had to check their schedule as they had quite a bit of work that week. I told them it would be fine as I was in no rush. Trying to be fair and transparent here. Well they never did and I reached out a second time to see what was going on with no response. Only thing I can think is that my job was so small, it was of no interest to them so they never got back to me. Really not an issue if that is the case (I understand) but I would have appreciated them telling me that was the case if they were busy with other projects and did not have time to assist me. So I suspect they can get the job done based on other reviews (which is why I reached out) but it may take a little elbow grease on your part to actually get a quote from them if you have a very small job. In late November, 2016, I contracted Roger at "The Grove Handyman" on Angie's List to have a…read morebathroom wall repaired following a leak in the pipes. I was quoted a good price and the appointment was arranged. The property is a unit I was preparing to rent and I was out of town, so a friend let the workers in. They were instructed to call him so he could view the work before they left. The worker called me and said the work was done. He sent me a picture after he left and after he returned the keys. He took the bathroom hardware off the wall for the repair and failed to put it back on. I contacted Roger and he informed me that the pipe for the faucet was too short. I don't know why the worker would tell me "it's all done," when it obviously wasn't. Roger said he would have to send someone else out on another day and he would have to charge me a callout fee - to complete the work his staff failed to finish. As I had a tenant moving in the next week, I had no choice. On the second appointment, a different worker said "it's all done," but he is the one person in North America with a cell phone that doesn't take photos. Roger's tone via text message after both visits was not an example of excellent customer service. He did not offer any assurance that everything was as it should be or apologize that his staff failed to complete the work properly the first time. In April, 2017, my tenant contacted the property manager to inform him that the faucet had become completely detached from the wall and pipe. The property manager left a voicemail for Roger, but he never called back. I called the next day and my call went to voicemail as well. The greeting stated that Roger would be out of town from the following day. Unfortunately, before he went out of town, he never returned my or the property manager's call. We had to hire another contractor to fix the inadequate work done by the Grove Handyman staff. I emailed Roger and explained the situation and provided him with a copy of the charges incurred to fix the faucet again as well as a photo. Roger refused to compensate me because he thought the charge of $260 was too high and because he didn't see it himself. This entire situation has been completely unacceptable. The original job was not completed. I was charged additional fees to complete the job on a second visit. The work performed was not done correctly and only lasted 4 months. And I was not compensated or refunded for having to hire another company. I strongly advise against hiring "The Grove Handyman" for any work. The company is a typical South Florida contractor that does shoddy work, doesn't communicate properly and doesn't stand behind their work.

Needing just a few house repairs, I called upon his services to patch up some…read moreholes, fix some leaks, etc. After deciding he was a nice and honest guy with top notch service, I explained that I'd soon be moving to Brazil and I'd likely need someone I could call on a dime in case my tenant needed a handy man. As expected, I called Roger a year later (from Brazil) and had him head to the townhouse to fix some plumbing and help with some painting. He even brought in an electrician to handle a light issue. I paid him after his work via PayPal. He's been quick to respond every time and continues to deliver in terms of service, quality and honesty. Good dude, good work!

They left debris all over our roof and painted over brand new stucco, which is actually supposed to cure and not be painted right away. The color that they used to paint. Our house was a dark gray over our light gray. We had a big L on the front of our house that looked awful when I reached out to the company about it they said well, it's not the same color so probably just best to paint the whole front of your house. My husband got up there himself with some matched paint from Sherwin-Williams and fixed it and cleaned all the debris off the roof. We will not be using this company again.

Unfortunately not as much care was used when this was being done. It is a garage but our laundry, and many kids toys are out there. There was no cover or anything used to protect any of our things. Due to drilling through a wall, there was lots dust and debris all over all of our laundry and items in our garage. I reached out and let him know that I thought the floor where the new door was would be a little bit more finished and smoothed out and I did not receive a response. Very disappointing.

He used flat paint for my moldings and did a horrible paint job. I had to repaint myself and have a friend come and finish the mess he created. Be warned he is a young unexperienced kid. I didn't finish the work when given an opportunity. He was late everyday he came as well. Look at the work below no excuses.

These are clean, organized and communicative professionals. My project was small but complicated. We have an odd counter top extension that sort of hung out at a weird angle, we did not use and took up an entire room of the house (it is a small house). It was becoming a place for accumulating junk. This project required that they cut off a section of granite countertop and detach the extension from the floor. Then they trimmed the granite to a new length it so that they could reposition it with a CLEAN SEAM. It looks great and now I have more usable counter top space for cooking, the kids have a counter to sit at for breakfast and we have an extra room in the house.
