Well truthfully I never like to leave this type of review and I want to say that my rating has nothing to do with quality of work as I did not really have the opportunity to use their services. This vendor seems to have excellent reviews and they probably do excellent work. My review is 100% related to communication and engagement when reaching out for a quote for services. Without getting in to the details, I reached out to them, provided pictures informed them of the work I needed done (which was not a lot by the way) and was told they would get back to me. Full disclosure they did tell me they had to check their schedule as they had quite a bit of work that week. I told them it would be fine as I was in no rush. Trying to be fair and transparent here. Well they never did and I reached out a second time to see what was going on with no response. Only thing I can think is that my job was so small, it was of no interest to them so they never got back to me. Really not an issue if that is the case (I understand) but I would have appreciated them telling me that was the case if they were busy with other projects and did not have time to assist me. So I suspect they can get the job done based on other reviews (which is why I reached out) but it may take a little elbow grease on your part to actually get a quote from them if you have a very small job. This company was great from quickly getting me an estimate to changing the quote a few times promptly. During the work they kept me informed with sending photos of each day's progress. I requested the installation of a tambour door on kitchen cabinet, and Oscar did an outstanding job, especially given the difficulty presented with the cabinet location. If you need a handyman that knows what he's doing then I would highly recommend Ozzie. I recently bought a house that needed a couple of things fixed. I did this job for my mom. I hate when men take advantage of women. I pointed at the top to let him know to leave it finished and pretty so then I can put the doors on closet etc.He didn't do it. He provided me with a reasonable quote and we arranged a time and day. He arrived promptly. To those of you reading this who are new to home renovations, or are just looking for a trustworthy, honest, and professional handyman, I think this review will help you! My husband and I are newlyweds who just purchased a new home. We were fortunate that our house wasn't in bad conditions and was in a great area, however, like many neglected homes in miami it was outdated and we wanted to give it a more open, and modern look. We ended up contacting more than 8 handymen, Ozzie being one of the first few we interviewed. I would advise to always get numerous quotes, especially with a large project, because that way you can get an idea of the price range, as well as the details of exactly what the job entails. Well, Ozzie was our one stop shop, because he really does do it all, no job is too small (our house is 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a little over 2,000 sq ft.), and his walk through with us was extremely detailed to the point of him mentioning important details that we didn't even think about. To make our long story short, we chose Ozzie not because he was the cheapest (although his pricing is extremely fair for his work), but because we knew he was extremely knowledgeable and is extremely HONEST and EXTREMELY METICULOUS!! The results? Wow, if anyone knows about handy work, you know how difficult things can become, but Ozzie was great and super easy to talk to and get along with (especially us during our 3 month journey). This man does not even deserve 1 star. Poor communication, prioritizes large projects but still takes your 50 % deposit. Had me waiting 3 weeks for a few simple projects and then cancelled his services and estimated the few things that he did do to the total of my deposit. If you are a single woman do not trust this man. He takes advantage. He does not return calls or texts messages. And when he does he replies via text because he knows he's in the wrong! Calling this guy was just a waste of my time. I reached out to him via the Yelp quote request option. He replied immediately and we set up a day for him to come by. "Great!" I thought to myself. His quick reply made me optimistic that he was on top of his stuff. So he came on a Saturday and checked out the work. I agreed to his price and he was scheduled to come that Monday around 5 pm to start. Monday came and around 4 I hadn't heard from him so I tried calling him to reconfirm. No answer so I sent him a text. No response. So I sent him a Yelp message. He finally texted me back at 7:30 pm that he want coming. Duh, I think I figured that out by that time. So I asked if he could give me a day and time to reschedule the work and he said he would check his calendar and let me know. Ozzie never got back to me. I made several more futile attempts to reach him over the next week. I tried calling, texting, and Yelp messaging to no avail. I was always polite and tried my best to not be pushy and waited several days between attempts to reach him. At the end of the day what upsets me most is the complete lack of simple respect and courtesy to simply REPLY. So freaking rude to just ignore someone. Why waste my time and his to come see the work if he didn't intend to do it?? I am baffled and annoyed at the whole scenario, and still searching for a RELIABLE handyman who knows how to COMMUNICATE. read more

My elderly mother's house needed to have so many things fixed that I was skeptical that I could find one person to take care of it all. The fact that I live out of state made the search for someone reputable and trustworthy all the more daunting. Thankfully, on a recent visit to Miami, a good friend recommended Ozzie because she had been pleased with a number of projects he had completed at her home. I met Ozzie and hired him on the spot prior to leaving Miami and I am very grateful that I did. He has been a God-send. He installed a new front door, a handicapped ramp and did some other minor repairs but what impressed me the most is the work he did in remodeling her bathroom. It was virtually unusable with rusted fixtures and piping. He totally gutted it, including replacing pipes and changing the layout to better accommodate a handicapped person. He had great suggestions and did beautiful and meticulous work. It came out worthy of a House Beautiful layout, is much more functional, and all at a very reasonable price. More importantly, Ozzie worked with me remotely in picking out tiles and fixtures and took care of picking everything up at the store as well as cleaning up and hauling away the old materials. I felt reassured to know Ozzie was fully in charge of the project especially because I couldn't be there. He is a great handyman but, he is much more than that - he truly can do any type of project, large or small, simple or complex.
