We had a really good experience with Airtech24 Heating and Air Conditioning. What sold us right…read moreaway was Cyrus. He gave us a very straightforward, no-nonsense estimate and only recommended the work he actually felt was necessary. The price was fair, and that honesty is what made us decide to go with him. There were definitely some challenges along the way, especially with permits in our city. Apparently it is much tougher than others when it comes to permits, and it ended up requiring a lot more paperwork and extra effort than he expected. Even with all that, Cyrus stuck to his original quote and never tried to charge us more, which we really appreciated. Jaime and Jesus handled the installation of the air handler, ductwork, and heat pump. They worked hard, were very respectful of our home, kept things clean, and honestly were much quieter doing the work than I expected considering all the cutting and installation involved. They also worked hard to finish ahead of the timeline they originally gave us. Inspection passed with no issues, and now we've been using the AC for months with zero problems. Overall, we're really happy with the work and would definitely recommend them.

I added air balancing dampers as well to help distribute air throughout the home more efficiently, thus saving electricity. After a comprehensive competitive bid process and reading Google/Yelp reviews, I chose Aloha Air Conditioning and Heating in Redondo Beach. From the very beginning, working with the owner, Max, was a pleasure. He made the entire consultation and planning/scheduling process smooth and stress-free. On installation day, Lead Installer Victor along with Ronaldo, Edgar and Manny arrived on time at 8:00 AM and were awesome throughout the day. They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable and respectful of my home. They swapped out the old Lennox unit(s) efficiently, took the time to explain the new setup, and left the work area clean. The difference in my home's comfort is night and day. A huge thank you to Max and the rest of the Aloha team for a top-tier upgrade experience. If you're having any HVAC issues, definitely put Manny's HVAC on the top of your list to call…read more My AC stopped blowing cold air in this heatwave. Jerry diagnosed that it was a low capacitor and freon leak, and that the fan motor was not broken like others have said. Other companies needed me to purchase additional parts to get it fixed but Jerry was able to get my AC working the same day. My HVAC unit was nearing it's end of life so I was also comparing bids on what made the most sense for my condo. Jerry offered to temporarily 'lend' us a new capacitor and pumped freon into my system at no charge while I made the decision whether I wanted just the fix or to replace my system. If I decided to just go with the fix, I would pay for it of course, but if I went with replacing the system, they would just take back their capacitor and reclaim the freon. This was a hugely appreciated gesture. Their HVAC replacement proposal was also very competitive. I ultimately decided to replace the system. The experience was pleasant from beginning to end. Cecilia is the one who helps schedule at the office, very friendly and responsive. Jerry was the technician who helped us diagnose the issue and coordinate the HVAC team. He was friendly, transparent, and always responded quickly to my texts/questions - great communication. The day of, the workers Juan, Victor and Andrew were very professional. Maintained constant communication the whole time, kept me updated on the process and what they were doing. They wore booties inside, protected the floor with tarp, and were just very careful in general. The installation of the unit itself is very professionally done, and they vacuumed everything and cleaned up afterwards. They even explained how to register the units for warranties etc. They were able to remove the old AC and install the whole new system the same day, roughly ~5-6 hours including the crane to get the units on/off the roof of the condo building.

0/5 -- Very Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience…read more We had a water leak in our kitchen and found Service Champions Plumbing, Heating & AC through Google. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The first technician came to our home and, after spending some time investigating, was unable to determine exactly where the leak was coming from. He did not use any leak-detection equipment, which was surprising to us. He told us that another technician would be sent with the proper leak-detection devices to locate the source of the problem. Based on that information, we waited approximately 16 hours, including overnight, expecting a technician specifically equipped for leak detection. When the second technician finally arrived, he only had a tablet and a flashlight--no leak-detection equipment at all. He explained that there had been a management or scheduling mistake and that nobody had told him to bring leak-detection equipment. He also said that he was actually a drain technician, not the leak-detection technician we had been promised. This was especially frustrating because the first technician had specifically confirmed the day before that someone with the proper equipment would be coming. After waiting all that time with an active water leak, we were essentially back where we started. The communication was poor, the situation was handled unprofessionally, and the second technician ultimately told us he did not know what the problem was. When a customer has a water leak, time matters. Sending the wrong technician after making us wait approximately 16 hours was unacceptable and wasted valuable time. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Service Champions Plumbing, Heating & AC. "NOT RECOMMENDED"
