The amount of problems in this place that I've spent two years correcting and spending money on because of incompetence is disgusting. "The lights worked when I was there". BS. It took an electrician 20 minutes to figure out why the lights didn't work. They didn't work because the wires weren't attached to the switch inside the wall. I'm no electrician Brad, but the wires don't magically come off the switch in the middle of the night. "Garage doors worked when I was there". It was totally broken. There's another $6000 in repairs and replacement. The lint traps in the attic were so overfilled that another company said "this is one of the worst jobs that we have ever seen". Followed by "one spark and this place would have burned to the ground". Thanks for the guidance on that. I've reported him before to the state and he offered my money back to get off of the hook. I didn't take it. At this point it's not about money, it's principle. The company failed. And I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

We had followed all of his recommendations, but unfortunately for us, he missed a lot. Over the first few years of living in our new home, we had to replace a couple of big ticket items that any experienced home inspector would have seen right away. He never even went on the roof to inspect the shingles or chimney, he eyeballed it from the ground. Not only did he miss many other little things, but almost caused more damage by being in the house. He was "inspecting" the stove in the kitchen. So he turned it on and walked away without checking to see if the previous owners stored anything in it. We come back to a kitchen full of smoke. In the end, this was not only a waste of my money to pay Paul and Allied Home Inspection, but has cost me a lot of additional money in repairs and work where the house needed to be brought up to code. Would never recommend. Hope this helps out future home buyers to save their time and money.

I gave Jeremy a list of preliminary concerns and he made sure to add those items to his already long list. It's clear he knows his stuff--knew models of HVAC systems, when they were built, etc, familiar with building codes and septic systems. In fact, it was a plus that we didn't have to hire a separate septic inspector like you usually have to do. They had different experts come out which was all included in the Works package. He found issues that surprised the seller, even though the home had just been inspected before being put on the market. Jeremy walked us through the report in an hour long follow up call. Later, as the seller began fixing issues before our close, he generously gave us a follow up call and even offered to come back and re-inspect the fixes after it was done. He obviously cares about what he does. He's direct, honest and I appreciated having his expert opinion before closing on a big purchase. Would use them again.
