(kids horseplaying) I had my wife calling all of the glass shops the next day and of course NO ONE had it in stock. Our insurance had given us a list of participating glass repair shops and eventhough Economy Glass is in another state and not really close to me, Dave told my wife he was in the area of a Mini dealer and he knew for a fact they had the glass in stock and went out of his way to get it! I had to drive to his shop to get the glass put in the next business day and again, he is about an hour or more away from me. But he left a good impression on me, enough that I had kept his cell phone and his business numbers all of these years and when another glass company failed to do the proper repair on my current cars windshield, I remembered about Dave and Economy Glass. I called my insurance and told them I wanted Dave to do the PROPER repair this time, a NEW Windshield. Dave's service area is in certain areas of New Jersey, I am so impressed with his professionallism, integrity and honesty that we agreed to meet someplace halfway between us so he could do this replacement for me. I got the same exact BMW windshield and honestly, eventhough my insurance wasn't willing to pay for the entire cost, the amount I had to pay on my end wasn't enough of a pain knowing I was getting the OEM glass. (I will be putting in a claim or complaint because I have full cost replacemnt glass coverage and I see no reason why I had to pay the difference) In any event, I cannot rave about Dave and Economy Glass enough. He and his wife deal with the insurance companies and Dave will do the job right PERIOD. He has a huge van stocked with all kind of gadgets to make sure you are getting a tip top job. On the day of the install, the tech calls and said "I dont have the parts, they didn't tell me I needed them." Ok, very frustrating, but I rescheduled AND called back to CONFIRM that they knew what vehicle they were replacing. They said yes, all set. Then, on the morning of the second appointment, the tech called me and said, "Okay, so it will be $651." Yes, almost THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS more. I called the office and the guy said, "well, it's an FJ Cruiser and it needs special parts." Well no kidding, you knew that from the beginning! What an absolute joke and waste of my time. I made an appointment online for 2 pm for my husband's car that needed a full replacement. When I…read moredropped it off I was told that they would need 3 hours to replace the glass and that would take us right to closing time, so I should have my phone ready to be able to pick up the car before close. I agreed and went home to wait. I then received a call at 5:30 saying that the glass was finished, but the tech who does the recalibration went home for the day so the car would not be able to be finished and that they would get to it tomorrow. They asked if I wanted to leave it or come back and since I needed the car I went back to pick it up. When I asked what time I should bring it back, the man behind the desk said I could bring it in when they open, so I did just that. I arrived at opening and had to wait this time because I didn't have a ride. The man behind the desk told me that since it had rained last night that they may not be able to do the recalibration. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. First, they shouldn't schedule appointments if they're not able to finish them as promised. Next, he said nothing about the rain being a factor while it was raining the day before (while I was in the shop!). When I asked about this, he said I could wait, which I did- for 2 hours until the tech showed up. It took him 20 minutes to recalibrate the car and I was on my way. I'll never go to this location again. As I was waiting multiple customers had issues and complaints. It's not worth the headache!
