First time having Ghanaian food and Accra Girls did not disappoint. Parking was easy in a not too busy parking lot. There's a counter with a huge screen showing all their menu offerings. Like other reviews say, it def gave me some Subway vibes. We got the Jollof w/ chicken and fried turkey (which came with yams). They warned us that we'd probably have to wait 30 minutes for them to cook the turkey and the food was ready right around 30 minutes. Prices seemed on par with other restaurants (~$14 per entree). Service was friendly. The two main downsides: the creepy/annoying singing Santa and lack of indoor dining. There was one long table in the corner of the restaurant but it looked like it was more for employees. They offered to let us sit there if we wanted to dine in, but it definitely wasn't clean. And the Santa decoration that they had singing and dancing the same thing for 30 minutes was enough to make us want to get out of there as soon as our food was ready. Service: well first it should be noted they DO NOT have any dine in seating. I checked the website before we drove a half hour to get there. Neither yelp or Google noted that their dining room was closed. The entire dining room looked like a giant storage room. Just boxes and crap everywhere. The guy at the register said since covid they haven't offered it. So it needs to be in the website(s). They didn't have half the items offered in the menu. A couple even walked out when they tried to order several items that weren't there. Another couple walked out because of the no seating. HORRIBLE wait time. We waited an HOUR for our meal. Food: This was our first time trying Ghanaian food and I was so excited but extremely let down due to half the items not being offered that were written on the menu. I had Fufu with "Light" soup. It was delicious. But also at times it felt like you shot pepper straight in your throat. I know it's spicy and I love spicy. However, I sneezed a lot like I inhaled pepper. It was the weirdest experience. It had a great flavor a solid kick but that pepper in the nose feeling was bizarre. Not sure what spice they put in there that caused that. I love me some Ghanaian food. Super over priced for such a small bowl of food. I understand ingredients are fresh but they tax the hell out of customers. The area and location I go is at the Worcester market cafe so they prob try to compensate for the site. Either way the portions are extremely small. They give you a sliver of salmon and a pinch of kale w/ a spoonful of rice ( be careful if you turn your head quickly they'll remove some rice out from the bowl ). This place gives me chipotle vibes but African style and flavor with a lot of potential but definitely not for the price and food amount. read more

I'll start by saying that the food I did get was delicious! However, I tried calling before I drove there and no one ever answered. I figured they were busy or closed. Google said they were open so I took a chance. They were! There wasn't 1 other customer in there and 2 employees sitting behind a station of warmed food in bins. I walked up and they asked if I'd like to order and I said yes. Then they pointed to a kiosk behind me and told me to order on that. Ok. Now... I specifically went there because I wanted to try the fufu and peanut soup as advertised on their menus online. When I was at the kiosk neither were an option, so I ordered a bunch of other stuff and asked for the 2 sauces on the side. Then I walked back to the counter and watched them put my food together. They poured both sauces all over everything. They also had sweet potatoes that I saw and asked if I could have some... since they were listed on the kiosk options. The guy went to the kiosk to try to order it for me and realized they were - indeed - not a choice. So he rang me up separately at the front register (why couldn't we just do it that way to begin with??) I spent $30 on food I didn't really intend to get - but again - it was delicious! I got the chicken, jolof rice, beans and rice, coleslaw, plantains, carrots, sweet potatoes, and two sauces: peanut and a red tomato sauce. I will go back but it was definitely not what I was expecting after seeing the yelp pictures and menus. I think they must have moved to a new location or renovated or something. I don't know. Listen... I noticed that my sun frequented this small West African Eatery. And I asked him if he'd like to go with me after one of his home college basketball games. Big win, time to replenish, right? Excellent. All in. Let's eat... He nodded in the affirmative. And we were off to the races, headed over... Accra girls was was very very good. It took a bit of a wait but it was freshly prepared and still piping hot when I got home 20 miles away.

The girl who took my order had an attitude. I'm not west african so I wasn't familiar with the food and could have used some guidance but she kept rolling her eyes like I was wasting her time. I also asked for something literally written on the menu And she said they don't do that. ... ok maybe take it off the menu then?? I also waited 10 mins at the front before she emerged from the back to take my order so there's that. The food is not bad but would I go back? No. I'll try another spot. I'm not paying to get someone to act like I'm bothering them. read more

I would like to put the 4 stars as their pricing on the menu is sort of confusing, we end up paying more (double) than what we understood from the price in the menu. Beautifully painted restaurant but that was the end of my positive experience. we waited over 40+mins for our spinach stew to arrive without any communication from our server on how much longer it would be. After arriving the stew was very clearly burnt and almost black yet somehow other parts of the meal were cold at the same time. The rice was decent at least......won't be returning read more

Best West African fare I've had! I had the mixed palm oil & peanut stew with red meat accompanied by fufu. It was magnificent. The fufu was warm, gooey and melted in your mouth. The stew was rich and nutty--a symphony of all the right flavors. The staff is incredibly warm, polite and attentive as this is a family business. Good for pickup too. 5 stars! read more

Such delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! It's a tiny place on 122 right off of 20, and easy to miss. We got there right after open on Sunday, got one of the three or four tables, and made our order. At the same time, a table of 5 and a table of 7 came in, which packed the tables. Shortly after the phone orders started coming in, so it was very busy. Unfortunately, that high volume meant we had to wait for 70 and 80 minutes for our orders. I don't know if this is normal, as everyone else had to wait about the same time, but I was very hungry by the time it came out. I had the red red, a black eyed peas and beef dish that was sort of like a stew, served with plantains. Wow, so flavorful, rich, and very well spiced. Which is not to say it was spicy hot, the heat was just right. My wife had the jollof rice with fried fish. The rice had a savory, deep flavor, and the fish was crispy skinned but delicate and flaky on the inside. Superb food, friendly staff, and amazing prices. Absolutely love this place! Best African food I've had in a very long time! I found this little gem by accident and in one week I've been back 3 times! The Spinach Stew with boiled Plantain is soooooooo GOOD! Also tried the Fish Stew (Croaker) with Fufu is phenomenal! I usually don't eat fish with bone but this was delicious! Stopped in for the first time the other day. Interior is a bit sparse, and the TV was turned to Youtube music videos. The music itself was great, but it was a bit too loud and not on autoplay, so there would be long gaps between the songs, and at one time a pharmaceutical ad played for about five minutes straight. Don't let that discourage you though, the food is fantastic. I had the jollof rice with chicken. The chicken was fried nicely, crispy while keeping the meat tender inside. The jollof was flavorful on its own but was made even better by the addition of the accompanying sauce. The nicely sized portion also comes with a boiled egg. read more

This place is horrible. Went there last weekend for Dinner. They were pretty much out of everything. We settled for 2 entrees. We were the only people in the restaurant but the food took 1 hour. I'd be happy with good food even if it takes 1 hour. The Omo Tuo was horrible. Too many ingredients that don't belong. As a Ghanaian, I was embarrassed. We will not be going back for cold food and mediocre at best. I cannot comment on the service cos the guy was horrible Completely rude. read more

I do not give out many five star reviews, but I was going home to my house about an hour away and needed something to eat that was not to heavy. They did not have the appetizer I wanted so they made a mini version of a dinner plate for me for $6.00 It was a container of fried rice with a fried chicken breast on top and a homemade Cole slaw concoction on on the side. The dish also had an authentic small container of a flavorful paste that was spicy but oh so good when I dipped the chicken into it and put it on the rice. I was excited to find a Ghanaian restaurant and arrived with my partner one weekend night. Unfortunately we showed up close to closing time, yet despite this we experienced nothing but incredible hospitality and generosity, ate delicious jollof rice, and enjoyed the bright and energizing decor and the music videos playing in the background!
