The program and the continuing development opportunities are rigorous and demanding, and many people opt out when it gets confronting or demanding. Is it a perfect company? Of course not. What I love most, though, is that the company and the leaders are also always looking at how and where they can grow and improve. This is the most comprehensive, rigorous, supportive, transformative, and confronting coach training program you will find out there! If you are looking to casually gain a skill set that you might use some day and check some boxes, I don't recommend this program. If you are looking to completely transform your life and create an actual coaching practice where you support your clients to transform their lives (and make good money doing it), I highly recommend this program. Save yourself the research (TRUST me, I already did the research for you - it's what I do and looked at every program possible before I took this one). Here's what sets this program apart: * You get a coach who supports you AND you learn to be a great coach through this. They train their coaches who coach you very rigorously. This is largely unheard of in the world of coach training programs. * It's all in person on the weekends (with lots of connection virtually between the weekends). * They call themselves the world's finest for a reason. They look at EVERY single detail of how the program is executed and ensure that it's aligned to helping you create the breakthroughs you came for. * The philosophy is all about getting you TONS of practice as a coach. It's not like a classroom where you just come sit to take some notes and leave. You are encouraged to practice being a coach over and over again, and you get tons of feedback. I know that's how I learn best. * They will remind you of what you said you wanted OVER AND OVER again. I graduated from the program about a year ago and have created a thriving coaching practice (And over-replaced my sexy corporate salary, by the way). This program wasn't a walk in the park for me (and it's not advertised as such) but I have grown more in the past 2 years than in my previous 31 years. I find it really interesting that the reviews are basically either one star or five star. I think that says a lot right there! It's not a forgettable experience, that's for sure. I am graduating the program in a couple weeks and I have lots to say about all of this. There's a lot in the one-star reviews where I found myself nodding my head like, yeah I get that. There are some frustrating things about being in a team with people who you didn't choose. Some of the methodologies and tactics can seem manipulative. They seemed that way to me at times as well. Not everyone will walk away with a thriving coaching practice, in fact most do not. And yet, I'm still rating my experience at Accomplishment Coaching five stars. Why is that? AC (Accomplishment Coaching) does not make promises that you will love every minute of the training. They don't promise to make everyone happy. In fact, they mention in the beginning that if they are doing their jobs right, at some point you are going to want to quit. And for me, that was a turnoff and I wondered then what I had signed up for. What they DO promise you is transformation. You are going to not only leave the program a different person than when you started, but you will leave each training module (weekend) with so many new insights about your own behaviors and automaticity that you can immediately apply to your life and relationships. That can be confronting. It's designed to be. Where else in your life will you get deep and profound reflections about the way you're showing up without an agenda or having it sugar coated? You can reasonably predict how anyone else in your life is going to react to pretty much everything you say and do. Not in this room. There are no holds barred and the more uncomfortable it gets, the more you are going to want to quit, and that's the exact reason for the team declaring that they won't let you. AC trains leaders to not be victim of circumstances, and how to coach others to not let their circumstances run their life. How can you be a stand for your clients if you are not a stand for your own life? This is why your teammates will not let you drop out whether it's a money issue, physical issue, emotional issue. We all have stuff, and over the course of a year things are going to happen. The question at AC is always, who are you going to be about it? And again I ask, where else in your life do you get that? If you wanted to quit your job, your boss would be like, "Okay, good luck to you, have a nice life." Right? The only other place I've had people stand for me the way they do in AC is in team sports. If you were on an Olympic team and during your training you broke your leg and decided to quit, your teammates would not let you quit. Nobody would let you quit, and nobody would think it's weird for your teammates to take a stand for you. Consider AC the Olympics for your brain. Don't take my word for it, though. Come to an observation and you'll see what I mean. I read an article where someone compared the Christopher McAuliffe to a used car salesman, which made me laugh. I like the idea of Christopher out on a car lot with his fancy shoes. But I think the reason they said that is because there's an effortless magic to the way Christopher can get anyone to see what's in their own way, in a way that is almost not to be believed. And this is true for all the leaders. One of my other leaders is Kerry Zurrier. I swear, when that woman talks I am taking notes like my life depends on it. Literally everything that comes out of their mouths moves me forward in my thinking in some way, and they do it with so much ease, lightheartedness, and humor, that I think people sometimes don't know what to think. Because again, it's not what we're used to experiencing in our everyday lives. Come check it out. I promise we won't make you wear a robe and chant. But we might hug you. read more

I worked with a Coach who was a graduate of Accomplishment Coaching for several months prior to making the career transition to coaching myself. It was a no brainer because I knew my life's work was about human development, and I had dabbled in teaching and training in language, communication, leadership, etc. but it was through working with a Coach that had me look at my life as a whole with all parts interconnected that I actually got to experience firsthand the power of coaching on my life and goals. Four years later I am experiencing a life transformed by the coaches I've worked with and the clients I get to bring into my own coaching practice. Business-wise, I am bringing in more income and working less than half of what I did in my previous career, my marriage is one of the things I'm proudest of, and I've become a new mom and business owner at the same time! My husband is not a coach, but he is also trained in the International Coach Federation (ICF) core competencies for coaches via Accomplishment Coaching and he has applied the learning to his leadership development first in his corporate career and now his entrepreneurial ventures in building his own company. To be clear, the growth I've experienced in my personal life and my business came over time and because of a willingness to get uncomfortable and stretch my comfort zone (that's what coaches are trained to do!) and the program was long, rigorous, time consuming, and worth every ounce of effort and every penny spent in tuition, travel, and training! I reviewed this program with the hopes of starting a coaching career. I already have a psychology degree and I am very well read in sales tactics and psychological manipulation because of my educational background And studying abnormal psychology. The first time I went, I was simply listening in on one of their classes. There were no other steps offered to potential students other than to leap into the first course, which was two days Of intensive efforts to mentally break you down. The program has a manipulative way of using your brand new classmates as a sort of recruitment, like cult members for the program. I was shocked at how easily they were able to get other classmates to believe that we were instantly a part of something big together and to use these people as leverage to keep you in the system. It is a $15,000 program. That does not include the travel costs and lodging. One weekend of classmates analyzing you and finding Strange names to call various aspects of your psyche, costs around $1500. I had A horrible physical injury about two weeks after I started the program, and I was already experiencing extreme anxiety from a sense that I had made a terrible mistake. I fell down and injured myself very badly about two weeks after my first weekend of the program. I realized it was going to be Impossible for me to be traveling with my injuries to the monthly program location. When I asked to be taken out of the program, they gave me absolutely no options. Instead, they pressured my classmates to call me and to negate how bad my injuries were and try to force me to continue the program. Not only did the leadership not do anything to help me or accommodate my injuries but they guilt Tripped my other classmates into harassing me to come and made them feel responsible to make sure that I fulfilled my program. This was the most extreme cult like experience I have ever been through. Have you ever had just a gut level horrible feeling about a group of people, kind of like a scary movie? That is exactly what it felt like. They tried everything they could to keep me in the program and forced me to pay about $3000 just to get out of it. They had zero concern for my injuries or the fact that my injuries were going to impact the job I already had which is what I would need to pay for this program. At the end of your first weekend there, without you having any idea they are going to do this, they will have you stand in front of all of these students that they have strategically gotten you to bond with in an emotional way, and they will force you to "declare" Whether you are going to continue the program and commit yourself to the people in the room or if you are going to walk away and quit. The language they try to force you to use in your declaration is basically a rejection of your classmates if you quit. It is literally that disgusting!! I am not exaggerating what they will ask you to do in order to keep you in the program. When the leader asked me to stand up in front of everybody and make this declaration, and I said I didn't know whether the program was right for me, he did not accept this answer. Instead, he stood there with an emotionless stance and forced me to make a declaration one way or the other which also put me in a position of being filmed while making a declaration that would make the monetary commitment appear firm. This is what you will go through if you actually sign up for this bizarre emotional abuse and brainwashing. You will learn to do this to other people as well. I highly recommend that you seek out a college with A legitimate program offering coaching or maybe go back and get your masters in counseling if this is what you want to do for a living. There were only two people in my class who did not drink the Kool-Aid. I was one of them and another one was a guy. They harassed him as well and honestly this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had in which I tried to purchase any kind of education or product. First note that this is one of very few reviews of Accomplishment Coaching on Yelp despite "12 years on 2 continents with thousands of graduates". That doesn't happen unless many, many past reviews are deleted, or unless a new "profile" is created in an effort to make past reviews not visible. I definitely remember seeing many reviews when I was considering the program but they are now gone. (Also on this note there are several "locations" and you can see none of them have reviews either.) If your goal is to become a coach, I highly recommend talking to graduates and asking how they are doing. My class had 20 graduates (plus 4 drop-outs) and currently 2 of them are coaching as their career, both leading trainings, not doing it by coaching. I've spoken with many graduates from several different cities and years, and all have given similar percentages for their own classes. The track record here certainly does not suggest a new career. During the program there is very little feedback regarding actually coaching. (Roughly 1 page of feedback 4 times total, in one year, as part of your tuition.) This factors in heavily to why there is such a low percentage who make it, many graduate incapable of coaching sessions which adequately meet the ICF minimum requirements. Also note that to get legitimate feedback for these ICF guidelines from qualified mentor coaches, you will need to pay fees which are ADDITIONAL beyond the tuition for the program. Your spending on the program definitely does not stop with the very hefty fees which you pay just for participating (which as of writing are $1400/month for 1 year). There are affiliate fees, evaluation fees, and more on top of your tuition. The back-office support erred so many times that they had to give written apologies to my clients and to me, along with a refund of the fees for services they tried to provide. If you do decide to do this program despite the reviews (or lack thereof), I very, very strongly recommend avoiding the office "support" at all costs. read more

A very intensive coach training program indeed, and much more. If you're considering it (keep in mind, this is a year-long, $15k+ program), go to at least 3 observations that they hold. Different program/leaders if possible. If it's meant for you, you'll know it. If you have doubts, I highly recommend that you find something that suits you better. It's persistently and deeply confronting work, on purpose, and it's easy for participants/inexperienced coaches to be confronting for the sake of confrontation/peer pressure/trying out a new tool/toy, rather than in service of the real reason you joined. As months passed, I found it easy to forget my real reason I joined, and unconsciously soaked up others' reasons for joining. I put that responsibility on myself, but I state it here because it's easy to fall into the group mentality with such an intense and long program. Imagine being questioned by 20 people (many who haven't seen a day's worth of certified coaching) about your intentions, your wants, your needs, for a whole year. That experience can go many different ways. Overall, I'm glad I did it and stuck through the whole year. I got what I came for. I learned so much that hugely benefits and has transformed my relationships and work. That being said, I don't "enroll" my friends and network in this work unless they're clearly interested. I truly do not believe this program is for everyone, especially younger minds who are still solidifying their self-image. Also, this program has probably forever changed how I use the words "enroll" and "empower" and "greatness." Lingo lingo lingo! Addition: If you plan on starting a new career or making money during this program - keep in mind that most attendees as well as graduates do not achieve this. I'd estimate less than 30%, and I'm being generous. Is it possible you will? Totally. Is it likely you'll make money? Not $15k in less than one year. In February 2011 I hired an Accomplishment Coaching trained coach, and in August 2011 I registered for and graduated the program myself. I travelled once per month from my home in Victoria, BC Canada, to Seattle Washington, and it was worth the program expense PLUS the travel expenses, and i'd have paid more if i'd known what the results would be. This program empowered me to change my life in ways I had no idea were possible. I addressed complaints about my divorce, my businesses, my relationship with my parents, and issues with money all while gaining the skills of ontological coaching. It was confronting, and often very uncomfortable, but I think that's the part of being outside our comfort zones that we resist. This was an amazing container of support to practice within; there was a ton of love (sometimes that felt like tough love), leadership, perspectives, and ongoing opportunities to empower leadership development. After graduating, I've maintained a private coaching practice, mentored in NYC in 2013, and am currently mentoring in the first Canadian program in Victoria, BC. The whole reason I hired a coach to begin with was I thought I needed to sell my business. This work gave me access to possibilities, and today have grown that business threefold, bought another business, and am a practicing coach. I've remarried, bought a home, and am planning a family. These guys are not worth your money. Stay away. I joined their $15,000 Coaches Training Program which in reality is a self-propagating scam. It's a way for them to get paid obscene amounts of money while they assign inexperienced "mentor coaches" to give shoddy coaching to the participants. The participants are also encouraged to sign up as "mentor coaches" for future programs where they will coach the new participants (without getting paid, by the way) despite only having 1 year of experience. Yet people pay them for this. Why? Because these guys know how to look professional. They even sound legit while selling you the program. What happens when participants (who have weekly one-on-one coaching sessions with their assigned "mentor coaches") don't manage to reach their goals? Well this company has all sorts of excuses designed to place the blame squarely on the participants themselves ("are you taking care of your well-being?", "are you operating from your survival mechanism?", "are you holding yourself accountable?", "are you out of integrity?" - it's such a joke they would question the participant's integrity!) It couldn't possibly have anything to do with the inexperienced "mentor coaches" eventhough "mentor coaches" have left in the middle of the program. Stop hiring these guys. The reason they have been able to run this training program for decades is because of the astronomical prices they charge. It doesn't matter if it only helps a few people, they have enough money (and free labor) to do it again. read more
