As someone who had practiced yoga for about 3…read moreyears prior to the sessions, I found them to be very generic and geared toward beginners, but I also appreciated the 1 on 1 attention. The following spring I bought some private sessions through Yogaworks in downtown Brooklyn (with Gabrielle), and that experience was transformative. The sessions were all completely individualized toward my needs, rather than a standard sequence. I enjoyed the sessions with Nicole, but I have had much more positive experiences with private yoga with then. I moved from NYC in summer 2018.

I can't say enough good things about the Intro to Yoga package I completed with Nicole. Beyond…read morebeing just knowledgeable, she knew how to present the information in digestible amounts so that I felt as though I was always engaged and learning. She blends some of the things I might have previously viewed as "new-agey" with so much science and anatomy knowledge that I was able to silence my inner cynic and really learn the skills that have already started to improve my day to day life. Having someone work with me one on one with the poses was great, but really the thing that was game changing was the way she helped me develop strategies for incorporating yoga into my daily life. As a bartender I work long shifts on my feet, she has given me ways to stretch and breathe that I can do when I'm in the middle of a twelve hour shift that really improve the way I feel during and after long days. She taught me so much about breathing that has shifted the way I face the day, reducing anxiety and improving my mood almost immediately. And because I'm not the most flexible person (yet), she showed me modifications and stretches I could do to increase flexibility and get the same benefits of the full pose. I feel like the thing that keeps the people who need yoga the most, from getting such an amazing introduction is that most private lessons are over $100/hour. Third eye has made this package more affordable (which is amazing), but also they have exponentially increased the value of the lessons. Nicole isn't just teaching you how to do yoga poses. She's teaching you from the inside out about incorporating yoga into your life in a million different ways. You leave there feeling like the poses are the least important part, and the core of what you've learned will carry you on an amazing journey for the rest of your life. Tonight I attended my first regular group class. I was still very much a beginner, but I was confident in my practice and my core and so I left feeling positive and excited about continuing with yoga. Do yourself a favor. Treat yourself to this. You won't regret it.

I found Dr. Campbell through Yelp after searching for Career Coaching in NYC. I liked that on their website there were different coaches to choose from so you can find your person :) and they allow you to have free calls with any of the coaches to see who matches best. After working with Colleen I was surprised to discover exactly why I didn't feel resonance with law. She helped me look at my personality, strengths, and values, and it all made sense when I could see that within my law career, I had strengths I wasn't even using. It was fun to create a list of requirements that when in place have me feel like I am thriving. Then we brainstormed different careers, vetted the ones I came up with, and narrowed down what I know now is my right-fit career path. Now I'm inspired and energized! She also helped me figure out an action plan to make the pivot so I feel confident as I take my next steps. I am on my way and feeling so different than when I began the process. Reputation I was recommended by a friend who holds a high position at FB, who was recommended by his friend who holds a high ranking position at Google. Customer Service After submitting a short questionnaire I was contacted via email immediately by Annabel who answered all of my questions in a timely manner. Resume Writing I worked with David who was open, gracious and a great listener. He has worked in many facets of talent management so he knows what to highlight, how to write it and what approach to take. Despite having achieved quite a bit, I was unsure how to translate the value I bring on a resume in a way that connects with hiring managers. I spoke with David for 1 hour. He asked great questions. He heard me and CRAFTED a beautiful resume and cover letter. 24 hours after updating my LinkedIn I received an email from a recruiter. So this review might be late, but I do feel that my experience can be a cautionary tale to those who are seeking help during a time of desperation. I reached out to Dana in Sept 2019. She made me feel like this would be a great investment. I filled out their questionnaire for the resume + cover letter + LinkedIn package, and paid $750ish. I asked to not be matched with Allison (no real reason, just a gut feeling.) Against my wishes, I was matched with Allison. I decided to give her a shot. (Big mistake! Always trust your gut!) We scheduled a call, she basically talked out of her ass by talking herself up, being vague, and saying things we already know about the computer systems sorting through our resumes. I gave her ALLLL of my information and she said she would send me the first draft within a week. A week later, no resume. No response to emails or phone calls. Two weeks later, I finally get my first draft with spelling errors AND information errors. In her email, she claimed she sent it a week prior and doesn't know why I didn't receive it. I told her all the corrections she needed to make. She said she would have it back to me in a week. A few weeks later, I finally got it back. It came back with just as many, but different errors. I ended up moving forward to the cover letter, and making my own corrections to my resume on my own because I was getting annoyed with her lack of proofreading, time management, and communication. I had the same issues with the cover letter and decided I was done. After 2 months of this, I did NOT want to continue to a LinkedIn update with her, even though I paid for it. She never reached back out to finish the job. She just disappeared. I was so pissed off by this experience, I just wanted to wash my hands clean from this and accept that I wasted $750+ on this. I decided to finally share this now because I'm back to looking for a new job and fixing up my resume, etc. and I hope my experience helps you invest in yourself, and turn to Google/YouTube searches instead of getting screwed over like I did.
