Once the traffic got moving, we loaded onto our bus with Owen, our driver, and Anna our guide. These two really made us feel welcome and we just knew we were going to have a great day. It was just my husband and I and another couple, Chuck and Marcia who were super friendly and it was great getting to know them throughout our day. Anna was simply a firecracker, so full of energy and positivity and funny too, that we were having a great day, just on the drive up to Cabarton Road. After our safety drill we were off. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous and we had time to take it all in and just float on down the Payette in between the "rapid" times. When we came to the rapids, they were GREAT Category 2 and 3s and we had so much fun. Anna then pulled out for lunch and put out this great spread of food, carrots with humus (that was oh soooo god I wish they sold it), crackers with cream cheese and salsa, pasta salad, apples and oranges slices, sandwich fixins and then cookies for desert. They even had a gluten-free brownie and glute-free bread fir ne which were both terrific. Anna's guide skills are wonderful and on top of that having to entertain us, abd fix us lunch, really demonstrates what a terrific work ethic she has and she does so with passion and a great attitude. It was a full day and we were exhausted at the end, but we had such a great time and can't thank Anna and Owen enough for making sure we had a great time and came home with such wonderful memories of this day. We are already looking forward to next season and coming back to do this same run again. After going through one other place when we did our first rafting excursion, we will definitely be coming back to THIS one from now on, and I highly recommend this company.

Mike is a super star, ex-navy pilot with an infectious energy and smile; Ty is a smart, super friendly Mechanical Engineering student from Arkansas, Rylee is a wildlife and animal wrangling expert who can catch and clean a fish faster than anyone, Leia rounds out the group making the everyone in the group feel taken care of and is always there to help you whether your gearing up, hungry, or just have a question about anything. Shout out to Loren (Jarrod's wife and partner) for preparing a virtual gourmet feast every day. There are no words to describe just how much effort and artistry goes into to the food prep. The first thing I noticed was that there were not a lot of customers inside. I informed the server behind the bar that I was there to pick up my order, and she went back to check. When she returned, she told me that there were no pickup orders. I showed her the email with my order number and told her that I never received a confirmation from them. She went back into the kitchen, then came back and said they didn't have my order, but could make it while I waited - about 10 minutes. I reluctantly agreed and waited. When I got my order, I asked for a few extra cups of sauce. The server was put off, as if asked to perform an overwhelming task. Needless to say, I left the establishment with a less-than-favorable taste in my mouth. 24 hours later, I received a text from them that my order was confirmed and would be ready to be picked up. I texted back that this was 24 hours late and to cancel the order. The reply was that their texting service was unavailable, and to call for questions. I then replied to the confirmation email, hoping that would get through to them. No such luck. The reply I received said that delivery had failed - that their email box was full. I will say that the food was good, and that the server was mainly friendly. However, the whole online ordering system needs some serious revamping. I hope that Whiskey River will take this review as constructive criticism so that future customers will have an easier, smoother online ordering experience.
