Update: 8/23/2019 Haley Squires called me. She's the CBS reporter covering the Fletchers. She said the Idaho AG filed the complaint and the Fletchers were notified and offered a settlement which they declined, opting to go to court. Hello, just an update: We have a claim in with the state of Idaho office of the Attorney General. We received a letter from them stating that they are looking into the matter. I would highly encourage anyone else who got frauded by this company to make a claim with the AG office. We filed a small claims court in Ada County, ID. Justin Fordice Update 12/5/2018: I wanted to let you know that I also have filed a small claims court with Ada County Idaho regarding our pursuit of litigation against Craig Fletcher. We also have filed in Idaho attorney generals office claim for the fraudulent activity. The long and short of the situation was that he donated an AK fishing trip to a veterans organization banquet for which we bid on and won and then offered us a sweet deal to take my family along on the trip for which we paid an additional fee for that. Like everyone else, he bailed on the trip and did not give a refund. There are multiple other people who have contacted me that have worked for him as a staff members but also have been ripped off by him in canceling trips and not providing refunds. These are facts. Still haven't received any reimbursement or even communication from them. This is a complete scam and do not do business with them. They aren't licensed to guide in Alaska. They have not paid several groups including ours a penny of their money back; even though they agreed to a full refund within 90 days of cancellation. read more

John, I would suggest; yes going to the Idaho consumer fraud division is the best bet. Alaska will be harder since he closed shop ,his website and, Facebook page is not to be found ( well he thinks). The attorney general in Idaho stated to me that the best defense is enough consumers going through Idaho for complaints. By all means report him to the AG in Alaska as a record. They do not have a business license in AK as well. We purchased a trip from them. Flew all the way to Alaska from California and they never showed to pick us up from the airport. After we had waited around at the airport hotel for two days...Craig (the owner) said they had a family emergency and couldn't pick us up. They still haven't credited back our funds. This company is terrible with customer service. We tried to call and book a trip, my husband and i got an email with all the great info, we contacted someone else to find out how it went and they said DONT DO IT. They got screwed big time. No communication or email back from him after initial contact. Glad we didnt go with him and this company. As for lodging we were told there wasnt supplies and i hear they dont refund when THEY dont show up. WTH? Really. I dont do business with people who dont fullfill their end of the deal. Bad fishing? Buyer BEWARE this company took pre-payment in the winter for a June Fishing trip just days before the trip they said they needed to delay the trip due to fishing in the area. They rebooked us for September. 2 days before flying out they emailed us that the trip was cancelled. Here is the latest as I understand it. An investigation has been ongoing conducted by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers. I just talked to them yesterday and they said while they couldn't prevent us from talking with the Haley (the reporter), it would be best for them if we didn't...it possible could compromise their investigation. I contacted them first on 10/31/18 and by the sounds of it is starting to pick up speed. I will choose not to talk with the reporter until I learn the results of the investigation...can always do the public shame thing latter if we have to.
