Tried to explain that product was ineffective and flawed due to irritating smell. Management again refused to refund my purchase. I asked if they could dispose of the substandard product with a further refusal. It was left on their counter with the receipt that the product could be returned. Must be how they profit??? My recommendation is that customers go elsewhere for proper customer service. Furthermore, management of Whitby store be replaced.

Seniors Store Inc is a home care equipment store located in Etobicoke on Dundas St West near…read moreIslington. There is parking in front of the store but depending on the time you go, the lot may be full. We had to go there to find my boyfriend's father a product to assist him after his knee surgery. The staff were wonderful and took the time to address any areas of concern. We actually had to return a product as the size didn't quite work and they were excellent in handling our refund. It was nice to deal with such caring staff that has a great concern for the patient rather than the sale. The products are very affordable for rental and for purchase. I'd recommend people stopping in there. It does get a bit busy there at times since both times I've been there, there was only one person working. But it is worth the wait. They are good at multi-tasking and do their best to get to everyone.

The clerk who ended up "helping" me didn't seem very eager but found my order and went to get my box of items. She started to process the sale. I mentioned that it should be paid for as I gave the information when I called in and asked them to process it then. Without asking anyone, my clerk was sure she was right and just prompted me to put my card in the machine. I asked if I was billed twice if I could just phone them and they would remedy the situation and it was only then that she asked the employee who took my call if he had processed my order. Apparently the young man I had been talking to "didn't have time". The manager who had overheard all of this attempted to make a joke that it didn't matter since I would just be giving them twice the money to help them stay open. I didn't find it funny. Since this is the store my doctor insists on sending my prescription to, this will be the last time I am going in there to pick up my orders. They can deliver it to my home.

I have been to this store twice in my life. The first time was over a decade ago when it was called…read moreShoppers Home Health Care. Some Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM) stores have a home health care store that is separate from the drugstore and is often next door. It appears that these home health care stores have been rebranded and are known as Wellwise by SDM. After my doctor's appointment, I was in need of a wrist spica splint for my slightly swollen wrist and irritated thumb. My go-to drugstore did not carry it. I visited the SDM at highway 7 and Warden. I got a helpful pharmacist who said that he only had a finger splint. He recommended visiting this Wellwise store. He pointed me into the right direction. The store is two doors down from SDM, which is next to T&T. On a Saturday, the parking lot is super busy with folks who cannot back out of parking spots to survive. After seeing a woman take her sweet time backing out and leaving in front of me, I swooped into a spot closer to CIBC and walked over to Wellwise. I saw the splints at the back of the store. Never having worn one, I had no idea which one I needed. I lined up at the front and a female staff member was great helping me out. She recommended the longer wrist-thumb splint. She gave me a medium to try. It fit, but I needed something larger. The one that I settled for is black with red trim, which reminds me of my high school colours. The other one that didn't come in a large was all black. I tried the former on and it was comfortable considering how crazy it appeared. It looks like a mini straitjacket. I had a prescription, so the woman took some time to create an official receipt for me for my claim. She was great. My local pharmacy gave me a photocopy of my prescription, which was faint. I helped the woman with my address and phone number, as they were difficult to read on the prescription. This woman was thorough. She wanted to make sure that spica splint on the prescription was okay for the splint model that I was about to purchase. She checked with her colleague and it was all good. Yay! I paid with a debit card. There is no tax on this type of splint. You can also use your PC Optimum card here to get points. Bonus! I thanked this woman for all her help. I walked out with my new splint in its box. I am probably different when it comes to looking forward to wearing a splint. I simply wanted some relief and help. I got to my car and immediately put it on. I've had it for almost a day now. It's comfortable to wear. I drove fine with it on. I do need to adjust how I type, which keeps my left thumb off the spacebar. I like it. I slept well in it. I also feel like I have superpowers with it on, but I don't! I had excellent help getting a wrist-thumb splint. I got great care and customer service. I also learned so much about splints. It was quite the crash course to find one that suited my ailment. I hope that I don't need to return to this store, but know that you are in good hands if you do need something here. (202)
