The security guard stayed with me until I had to ask him, if it was ok for me to look and select from the several different diffusers on the shelf. He then approached me again to see which ones I had selected, and then hovered while waiting for the cashier to ring me out. Why? I would never shop there again. What about me warranted this "special" attention? I've lived in this area in my own home for over 30 years so this is a first for me. I was polite, did not make a scene, just made a decision. I gave two stars because the store was clean, and cashier was friendly. Guard may need some training.

Tony is a great salesman that really knows how to connect with customers and give honest opinions about quality and longevity of furniture. He also helps you navigate the Showroom according to your budget and style. I had fun speaking with him and him allowing us to have space to roam around to check sets out ourselves without trying to sell us every piece of furniture. Bob's furniture shows you the total set price and individual pieces' price which was a much better set up than neighboring furniture stores that try to convince you to buy sets than pieces for "greater savings." The furniture store while overwhelming with the amount of furniture inside had a certain organization to it that allowed you to feel the difference between quality sets and more pricey sets. It's great they offer customers hot coffee, powder creamer, several different candy, cookies, and ice cream. The bathrooms were clean inside the building as well. I definitely recommend if you want to shop without hassle and being pressured every minute. I'll update if I decide to buy any furniture so I can speak about quality vs price.

He wrote up the sale and told me that he threw the protection plan in for free. I didn't question it because it had a 00 cost on the receipt. I called and he tried to tell me the furniture was more money than was listed on the price tags. When I told him that was ludicrous, he said he'd have the charges reversed. But for smaller sales - this might not be the place. I wanted to update my bedroom with a few new pieces. Came with measurements and a floor plan and my designer came up with a really creative way to set up my room. Sounds great - right? It was, until when the furniture was delivered, I discovered my designer had ordered the wrong size dresser/chest unit. It fits in my room but not in the way I thought it could be arranged. I called the store immediately, the designer came to the phone but offered no apologies, no options. It's a custom piece, of course, so I can't return it. But I am deeply disappointed and will not use this particular Ethan Allen again. Buying furniture should be fun - and for the price, their customers should be thrilled with how the room turns out. I can't dump tens of thousands on furniture right now - there will be plenty of business for them over time.

Unfortunately there was an…read moreexplosion in the home just prior to purchasing it and I was forced to postpone the delivery of my furniture order (had nothing occurred the order would have been able to be delivered on time). This is where Ethan Allen customer service fell apart. Other vendors gladly agreed to hold my orders for many months with no issues due to the unusual unforeseen circumstances Ethan Allen refused to extend the time of holding my furniture frequently citing the terms of the contract that I had signed and that it "wasn't their fault". They wanted to force me to pay outrageous storage fees and to pay for the furniture in full, site unseen. I was forced to secure a unit at a storage facility near the property and have the furniture delivered there. This is still an expense, but much cheaper option than what Ethan Allen was going to charge me for storage. They even had the nerve to not deliver the complete order to the storage facility. They had to make a 2nd delivery to the unit a week later with the missing items. The storage unit is near my new home but is a 200 mile round trip from where I am temporarily living. So I had to travel a total of 400 miles because of their negligence with the delivery. Manager Barbara and salesperson Deborah were absolutely abominable and have zero compassion or customer service skills. I realize what occurred fell outside the parameters of their precious contract, but this was a very unique and unusual situation which required them looking past all that to help out a customer. Shame on Ethan Allen. They represent themselves as a high end store...when you are purchasing. Once the purchase has been finalized their true colors shine through. ** I live in Congers NY.
