Large nails left all over yard following the work. The fence is well built, but with a toddler and two small dogs it makes me so angry to find out that the yard may be less safe with the installation of this fence. Recently had fence install by Accent Fence of Richmond Virginia. Overall the install was great, the crew was very quick at installing and very professional. However, a week or two after several boards that they used started to bend and several boards had holes in them or showed visible imperfections. I contacted a Ms. Maureen who told me that a Dewayne would contact me, however I haven't heard from him or the company yet and that's been a week ago. I only want the boards replaced that was installed with visible imperfections, after paying over $2000.00 for the fence, I expected better quantity material wood. I would be a totally satisfied customer if they would replace the boards as requested. I will update this review if anything changes. read more

A++ Service and Workmanship. I contacted Barry, the owner, after we put a contract on a house. He was recommended by a friend who had also had a fence installed. Barry was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to meet us at the house to give an estimate on the day we scheduled our home inspection. His price was the best estimate we received. Since the project was a two day job and we closed on a Friday, one of Barry's guys came out on Friday and put up a temporary kennel fence so we could let our dog out back while we moved. Even that fence looked great! My home office overlooks the backyard, so I was able to watch the fence go up. His guys were very quick and efficient and I was very impressed with the quality. If it hadn't rained the first afternoon, I think they would have finished it in one day (241 feet with two gates!). Overall a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a high quality low cost fence. They do decks too! read more

This is an overdue update review of a fencing job I had done last year. I have received numerous inquiries regarding the poor job that was contracted through Lowe's. In summation, it took about 8 months for Lowe's to send another fencing contractor to my house to correct the sloppy work done by the original fencing company. (You can look up the original review under my name.) I had to consult with a law firm since I was not getting results from Lowe's executive complaint department. I received one email a week letting me know that they were "addressing the problem", "looking into the problem", etc. Soon after I let Lowe's know I was seeking legal assistance, contractor Barry Sutherland with Accent Fencing arrived at my house. He said he had a work order to fix whatever I was not satisfied with regarding the fence. His crew showed up and in less than a day's time, remounted the gate hardware and the gates themselves. (The two gates were mounted backwards by the original contractor.) Since the completed work, I had cleaned up the blocks of cement and trash left by the original crew. When doing this, I also noted that they did not remove the old wood fence posts having sawed them off at the ground level. I only wish Lowe's had sent Accent Fence for the original job. Their work was strictly professional and efficient. I am posting an image of the corrected gate at the end of my driveway. (An image of the initial sloppy job by the original contractor is in my original review. Check out the comparison.) Again, thanks to Barry Sutherland and Accent Fencing. Never do business with this company. I called Premier Fence Company, in Glen Allen, VA a few weeks ago in November 2020 and told them I needed a quote for vinyl fence at a rental property. They scheduled the appointment for a Friday at 3:00pm and I arrived to meet Larry at 2:52pm, eight minutes early. The rental occupant told me that Larry had come and gone, even before the appointment time. OK, so I waited and the following week I received a written quotation for a wooden fence, not the vinyl that I had requested. I called the company and informed them that I had requested a quotation for a vinyl fence and I needed it requoted. I never received a response. So after taking off of work to meet Larry and traveling about an hour round trip they treat their customers this way. All of what I write is honest and correct. Never do business with this very poor service company. I would hate to see what their work ends up with service like this. read more

This is the second fence I've had Barry's team install. The last one was about 4 years ago in our old home. It looked great until the day we moved. New home + open yard = Need a fence! Privacy, here we come! I got several estimates, and Barry's was the best. Plus knowing from previous experience that he did great work, I was excited. I just bought a house and with three large dogs, the existing 4' fence wasn't going to cut it. I called at least 15 different fencing companies and everyone kept giving me a 6-7 week window for install. I spoke with Barry and being that I had a containment issue he was able to move his schedule around a bit and get me scheduled within three weeks which happened to be the week that I closed on the house.
