When I look at the quality of the work and the materials used, I know we got our money's worth, that fence will last many years as long as I do my part. Thank you Top Rail

I believe he started to just leave the job incomplete however although he completed this job he left some openings at the bottom of my wood fence that I filled with large rocks that were left over from a prior project. The wood he used is thin and is molding at this point he left my job to do another job only to return to my property in a rushed and subpar finish. Mr. Van Buren did a horrible job. The wood is warping and is molded. I will have to hire someone to replace some boards. I tried contacting him, but he has not responded to me as of the date of this review. Shame on you, Mr. Van Buren I should've checked to see if you even had any contractors license.

A++ Service and Workmanship…read more I contacted Barry, the owner, after we put a contract on a house. He was recommended by a friend who had also had a fence installed. Barry was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to meet us at the house to give an estimate on the day we scheduled our home inspection. His price was the best estimate we received. Since the project was a two day job and we closed on a Friday, one of Barry's guys came out on Friday and put up a temporary kennel fence so we could let our dog out back while we moved. Even that fence looked great! My home office overlooks the backyard, so I was able to watch the fence go up. His guys were very quick and efficient and I was very impressed with the quality. If it hadn't rained the first afternoon, I think they would have finished it in one day (241 feet with two gates!). Overall a very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a high quality low cost fence. They do decks too!

When I was getting a quote, I asked if we could have it installed sometime in January, but these folks came out and installed the whole thing on New Year's Day! The gates were built on-site and were tailored to fit what we needed. The final product looks great and slopes gracefully with the terrain. The crew was friendly, professional, and left no trash behind. The fence has been tremendously helpful in that we can now let our dogs run around out back in the snow rather than having to leash them up and go with them every single time. The dogs love it, we're staying warmer, and it looks great on the property - a worthwhile investment that we're going to enjoy for many years to come!

It's my oversight for not noticing this for a year, but this is a clear workmanship issue that they should have fixed. It never should've happened in the first place. If you are looking for a straight fence and professional customer service, do not hire Hurricane…read moreFence. My husband walked the property with the project manager before installation, discussed corner post and the placement of the single gates and then left. There was no mention the double gate could not be centered, and the fence posts would not be installed in a straight line. I sent an email the following morning expressing my concerns. I was told they always move the gate towards the house if utility lines cause an issue. We had the double gate installed for a trailer. It does not make sense that we would want it moved away from where the trailer is parked. The project manager came out to inspect and said both issues could be resolved. I received a call saying I would have to pay for corrections. Over the past 3 months, 3 site visits, at least 9 emails and 7 conversations it has been suggested that the top rail was bent but posts were straight, so it just needed to be replaced or the "frost heave" and extreme cold temperatures shifted the concrete footings. The newest revelation is that the fence was installed per the contract where the top rail follows the natural contour of the land rather than running in a perfectly straight line. This is not mentioned anywhere in the contract. In fact, the layout on the contract clearly shows a straight line and states that the fence will be installed following the flow (fence will be uneven at the top). They are also saying my husband approved the curvature in the fence and double gate location. Neither is true. If the fence was installed in accordance with the contract, then why was approval needed? If approval was given for the gate (or the fence line) it would have been their first response 3 months ago.
