We did NOT encounter rude/inattentive servers, but quite the opposite! We were greated by a hostess who showed us around to some available seats for us to choose from and we were quickly served 2 ICE COLD beers...literally ice cold with ice floating in necks! Didn't get to try any mixed DRINKS as we were meeting our party at another restaurant but the menu looked amazing with a good selection of cocktails. I definitely recommend a stop in to this gem of a bar! It is adults only so no kids. Nice setup, cold beer, and clean unique bathroom

Steve always knocks it out of the park...this time for a much needed girls' trip with my friends…read more He always makes us feel like his house is our house, the location is very safe (important for a girls' trip!), clean, and beautiful, and his breakfasts and happy hours are out of this world. This is maybe my 15th(?) stay at Casa Sirena, and it is always the recharge that my battery needs. Covid testing is very handy around the corner from the hotel. We are all vaccinated, but we never felt that people were being anything but extremely careful all around the island. Love you, Steve, and hope to see you again soon...with or without the boys!

Each evening (except Sundays) ends with a rooftop happy hour hosted by the ever charming owner, Steve. Always fun to meet the other guests while enjoying a margarita and that evenings entertainment (usually a talented local musician, but Fridays are a super cool magician- really!) The rooms are cute and comfortable, with personal espresso machines and a cold beer in the fridge. Can't say enough great things about Casa Sirena- stay once and you'll never go anywhere else!

Unbeatable value for the money... has camping and very basic rooms - no mosquito nets, no blankets…read more(just sheet), no AC, no hot water. But it is THE only affordable place along the beach. Not on the beach, but a short walk across the street and you are at the southern end of the Tulum beach, which is the least busy part and some of the safest swimming, and miles to walk south into the reserve. Also a mostly-above ground cenote behind the hotel makes for great swimming (warmer than the ocean) and kayaking. We paid around 37US for a room with two double beds and an en suite bathroom (the bathroom isn't very nice, though), and could not find anything else along the beach for less than 50US, and nothing with en suite bathrooms for less than 100US. You are paying for the location around there, and if you don't mind basic, this is the only place for shoestring travelers to stay. Be aware of location... on the right as you drive south, you pass Xbalamque (which is more basic for double the price), then Cenote Encantado (which is expensive - but has practically the same name), then Encanto. All are close together. Manager Alexis speaks good English and is very helpful. Self-catering kitchen.

Our room was clean and bathroom too. I could totally come back and stay in Puerto Morelos in the future. It's more of a sleepy beach town in comparison to the more developed cities nearby. There was also a very cute dog that belonged to the owner and hung out in the patio area.

It is a beautifully manicured place with some rooms, some cabins... and a delicious, like 3 course breakfast. First some kind of bread or toast item, then fruit and yogurt, then like chciken fajitas and beans with flour tortillas that seemed homemade, or maybe a delicious fresh tostada. The breakfasts change and they even asked if we were able to eat different foods - really the family is so beautiful and considerate and calm. honestly it is perfect. We had a delightful cabin with two double beds, a tv, a/c a kitchen, dining table, bathroom and furniture. It was great. It had a rustic aspect, and a rustic thing happened lol. Even though i would not exactly call an apartment with electricity and cable rustic... it is in a certain way. I just can't bring myself to say what lol. I would describe the hotel as "one lot back" from the beach. the location is excellent and in a way... it is on the beach because of te extense of the beach, but there is another building between the sea and the Amar Inn so it is not oceanfront... though some rooms probably have sea view depending on how they are situated. But there is a little road to the beach. Perfect. Puerto morelos is a quiet relaxing town. We are too old for playa del carmen. We love to just chill here. The apartment itself is mediocre. Luckily it is an apartment behind a strong door that requires another key to enter the main "lobby". The apartment has a dead bolt and each room has its own key as well, I'm not sure if you can rent a room by itself or if you must rent the entire apartment. Either way, it was cheap and a nice place to rest after the end of a long day. Complete with a mini refrigerator, stove, and television in the main bedroom as well as the living space, it wasn't too shabby. The shower was probably the most painful thing I've ever encountered, it felt like sharp daggers stabbing my bare behind, so that was unpleasant. And the neighbors were hooligans, pounding on our door every night at 4 in the morning. A church is kiddie corner, summoning people to repentance or something because it's bells were constantly chiming. A few outside dogs who LOVED to bark at nothing really added to the ambiance of the entire night. Ear plugs will definitely become your best friend when you rent on Air BnB. Overall, the venue was fine. I liked how close it was to a bus stop, Walmart, and a few restaurants. It's right in the middle of the city of Cancun, giving it a great central location. Again, the host was great. He gets right back to you, answers all of your texts/emails/phone calls and goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay the night, this wouldn't be a bad choice. TIPS & TRICKS: * Use the water in the main lobby to fill your water bottles, DON'T DRINK THE WATER IN MEXICO. * Walmart, McDonald's, and Dominos are all within walking distance. If you're sick of tacos for every meal of the day, don't hesitate to check out a good ol' American business. *Buses run constantly, the one that will take you to the hotels and beach strip is R2. Just hop on, pay your driver 12 pesos per passenger, doesn't matter how far your ride the fare is all the same, and hop off when you find a place that seems worth checking out.

Her home is in a very nice residential neighborhood within easy walking distance of several nice restaurants, even a Baskin & Robbins nearby. It is away from the central city so it is quiet, but taxi drivers don't always know where it is so the easiest thing to do is give the driver her phone number and she will guide them in. She can also arrange reliable taxi's for you and tell you how much you should expect to pay in pesos.
