We came to Isla Mujeres for a day of exploration away from Cancun. We really did not know what to expect but we were looking to take the advice of a few locals and rent a golf cart and explore on our own. We saw a lot of small little places to stop and have a beer but we decided to wait until something really caught our attention. We were driving towards the north part of the island having left Punta Sur and was just enjoying the beautiful views of the beach from the road when we saw a sign saying "Beer so cold it will make your teeth hurt". The sign, along with the yellow building and unique colors told us we needed to make a stop.
We walked into a small paradise. This place is beautiful. The colors, the foliage, the unique sculptures and architecture was just beautiful. The tables, hammocks, swings by the bar, chairs set to look out towards the beach. Everything was just beautiful and perfectly placed. The view from here is amazing. You could see people below jumping into the water and playing in the waves.
When we walked in, we didn't know this was a bed and breakfast but it was pretty obvious from the balcony and the people sitting up there. It looks like a very nice place to stay in. My boyfriend and I both are thinking of considering staying here the next time we come in order to stay away from Cancun to a much more quieter place. It was soothing and peaceful. I could definitely see myself relaxing here.
We were greeted by someone who was tending the bar. We ordered two Dos Equis and he came out and brought them quickly along with a cold towel. With the sun and heat, the towel was a perfect detail. A nice lady, who I can only presume was the owner, walked over to us to check on us and check if we needed anything. She was really nice and seemed to genuinely care about our satisfaction with the place. We left fairly quickly because my boyfriend was scared that we would not return our golf cart in time but we would have stayed for another beer if we would have had more time.
I definitely recommend you making a stop here. The views and the place is definitely one you will remember. read more
