When I visited the store in early June it was packed to the gills with merchandise. I wasn't in need of anything but I was certainly impressed with their merchandise and the many great brands they carry like Toad & Co., Prana, Smartwool and Darn Tough. The shoe and sock section was particularly impressive. I came to Bar Harbor fully prepared for my planned outdoor adventures but I think next time I might come a bit less prepared so I have a reason to do some shopping at Cadillac Mountain Sports.

I thought it would be a long ride into the park but it was only about 1.5mi from the shop to the carriage road. Even as an avid hiker this was a GREAT way to explore Acadia NP on the carriage roads. We did the loop they suggested and ended up doing it in a figure 8 stopping halfway for lunch at the Jordan Pond House. Started around 9:30am and came back in around 1:30pm which was plenty of time after riding 25miles. We still had 3bars left on our bikes. I did this with my husband and his parents who are in their 60's. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable answering any questions we had. I would recommend this place for E-bike rentals!

Rich adjusted to our needs/wants on this private tour with good humor and great kayaking tips and pointers. Rich is also an expert on birds and wildlife in the area. It was fascinating seeing all of the birds and getting a knowledgeable description of the species. We also saw seals and we paddled by the mussel "farm" and learned about that operation. Rich was a wealth of anecdote, stories and information and I would not hesitate to book a tour with him again. Also, the price was very competitive. This was a private kayak tour and it was under the price of a large group tour. It was an amazing way to spend time on the water. I highly recommend it.

I came to find out shortly that it was Loren's mom, Grace, and she was definitely a delightful way to end my trip this year. You see, I came to really like this shop last year when I got to extensively talk to both Loren and Shawn during several visits to the shop because they were so fun to banter with. Not only did I receive local tips to the area, I came to really appreciate what they have done here over time through their little business. Their gift bags are printed with Loren's photography and Shawn's paintings! Truly beautiful and different from the other stores in the area.
