Not very happy with the instruction so far at this place…read more 3 out of 5 teachers here that I've seen are slow, lazy, have an unpleasant attitude, end class early, are too busy chatting with each other, and generally just don't teach much at all. I've seen some in other classes that seem to be better, but my daughter has only had 1 or 2 good instructors sub in to her normal class (which has inconsistent teachers). They charge significantly more than other places, but the instruction just isn't there to justify the cost. Combined with their weird, irritating, and really just terrible billing policies, it's just an annoying headache to deal with them at all. The only good thing this place has going for it is how big the facility is. I guess that's why they charge so much (to be able to pay for the place); it certainly isn't due to the instructors' teaching abilities that's for sure. If you value your wallet, your sanity, and your child's gymnastics experience I highly suggest you look elsewhere.

Let me be the first to say that I am just not one of those people who are uber fit. I dislike most…read morephysical activities, (i.e., walking, running, aerobics, doing anything that requires moving my joints). That's not to say that I don't do physical activity, I just am typically not a fan. That being said, I could completely see Baile Dance making me want to be (and stay) physically active and fit. I recently went to a Zumba class, which turned out to be taught by one of my favorite instructors, Enrique (also instructs at BodyWise Fitness). While I'm not particularly good at Zumba (my hips actually do lie), I find it to be so much fun. Knowing how great of an instructor Enrique is, I'm sure that the other instructors are probably just as great as he is. This studio opened fairly recently, so the studio is gorgeous. The interior is bright and large with light hardwood, large mirrors, a good sound system, a clean bathroom, a beautiful chalkboard wall, and ample storage for your things. One of the things I like most about it being a dance studio is that if you're like me, you sign up for classes at the gym, but you don't go to the rest of the gym. I'd rather just pay for what I'm getting. Overall, I'd give this new studio a try, you won't regret it. Plus, maybe you'll actually like exercise (or at the least dance) when you do.

The girls know what is expected of them, they learn discipline for certain. I ended up un-enrolling mostly due to the commute from my home to Draper (Nightmare!) The other situation was my daughter had not mastered any new skills for more than 18 months. The class sizes are big, (in my opinion of course) at least 20 girls per class. Due to size of classes there is not much time spent with each girl, they get one shot and then move on to the next girl. If traffic wasn't a headache in Draper I could see myself sticking it out. *parents must stand outside to watch their daughters*

Wasatch is home to USA National Team coaches, who pass their knowledge on to the rest of the staff. The coaches are well trained and certified! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place!! The whole energy, confidence and self love everyone carries makes…read moreyou want to come back! I took a few classes to see what I liked best. 1. Pole initiation: introduction to pole, so we learned which is our inside and outside leg, get the basic spins and how to climb the pole etc. I recommend this class 100000% if you are wanting to learn pole (plus it gives you in advantage in the other class if the other instructors are doing a choreography with pole) 2. Liquid Motion: very sexy dance moves and how you can incorporate them into whatever kind of choreography because they are so basic but VERY necessary to make the dance pop out and run very smoothly 3. Sex kitten university: this class was fun and I enjoyed learning the dance, basically a class where you can let your sexy run wild! I did have a little bit higher expectations on this one just because I thought we would be learning more of the small details that make a dance sexy, so like where to place your hands or eye contact etc. Would still try it out again! 4. Find your sexy: very sensual dances that make you wanna dance for your partner or in front of an audience. I really enjoy this class because there are some dance moves that you say "wow I can't do that" but by the end of the class you are doing that EXACT same dance move the instructor showed you! 5. Confident with joy (beginner): very high energy class and you always wanna bring the best version of yourself! You have such a workout without actually feeling that you're "working out" . At the end of the class there is a lot of emotion because you allow yourself to be vulnerable but it definitely gives you that boost you need. Overall, I've been going to these classes and I look FORWARD to go to class. Mel and Katie (2 of the owners) are usually present at all times and dancing/teaching you! The other instructors are sooo friendly and open with everyone and have such a positive attitude it gets addicting. Just wanted to mention also that heels are encouraged but not required for the classes other than that the prices are SUPER REASONABLE!! There is literally no excuse for someone to not try pole!

Everything about this place has gone downhill. Does no one clean the fitness studios, the gyms or…read morethe lockers? I watched a guy in my aerobics class drip sweat globs all over the floor and mat, then walk away. Gross. I was the last person out and not a single person came into clean. The same with the weightroom and the pickleball court- no one wipes anything down. The only attendants in the place are a couple of nice college kids at the front desk who smile and wave then go back to their screens. You walk around the space and although there are plenty of members, it feels vacant and neglected. Not to mention their sporadic fitness classes. With no pool September-May, can you really justify $95-175/mo for two strength classes in the morning and one at 6p, and no evening classes at all Thursday-Sunday?? Momentum Climbing Gym has four Utah locations, amazing climbing walls, yoga classes AND weightroom for $60/mo. Just saying. Not to mention that the JCC classes are often taught by non-certified, 'soft' U students who seem to have gotten their routines from YouTube. The JCC management is more interested in collecting your money than providing an exceptional, sanitary experience. They act like they are doing you a favor instead of the other way around. In fact, I recently contemplated a small claims case and assault charges after one of their fitness coaches put his hands on me. I had purchased a six-month family membership through a fundraising auction for the Humane Society and when they found my resistance to a rude, handsy, out of shape "coach" (for a ski conditioning class that would have actually cost me an additional fee), they voided my membership without reimbursing me for the remaining months. I was in shock. Let me preface by saying that I was fine terminating the membership as I only wanted to be by a pool (despite their incredibly uncomfortable plastic lounge chairs) and they close it right after Labor Day. Plus, it's a 30-minute drive for me that includes college and hospital traffic nearly 24/7. I already belong to two other fitness centers closer to home. But their behavior calls into question whether you want to trust this gym to treat customers with respect. They are well within their rights to banish me but they should not be entitled to keep my money! Check out this policy sited from the CEO when I demanded the return of $350: The JCC has "the right to terminate memberships and/or deny entry at its discretion." And they keep your money?! Sounds like fraud to me. Do you really want to join a club that operates this way? They don't like your clothes, your smell, your dissatisfaction, your religion, your bluntness and you're out... and we keep all your money. Just think twice and then go somewhere else where they value customers. In the end, I decided not to fight in court because my friends reminded me that I can still get the tax write-off as a donation to the Humane Society. Now THAT is an organization that deserves my money.

And anytime one of the kiddos made it through an obstacle, a sigh of relief along with a boost of confidence. Be prepared for some calloused and even ripped up hands and sore muscles. But all ages will have a blast. There's a toddler area, then a beginner level section all the way to advanced. You pay by the hour. And your colored bracelet ensures you stay in the appropriate areas. There are staff members to give you tips and assist you in completing various obstacles. There's even a dodgeball room. This would be a fun place to host a birthday party. My kiddos conquered the walls comparable to their ages/size so they were all on cloud 9 about that. They recognized the upper body strength the majority of the tasks call upon to complete. And they have a new appreciation for the athletes that attempt these outrageous obstacles.
