ABC DOES NOT equate to A being best. In this instance, A should not be the first letter of the alphabet and also, Academy Foot Center should be Zacademy to avoid being searched for.
My ankle somehow gave out and I was in the most excruciating pain for the past week and couldn't bare the pain. I called several places to which they didn't answer and of course when looking up podiatry on my providers website, lo and behold, Academy was the first search and they answered the phone. I told them my symptoms, how long I've had the pain, and booked an appointment.
I arrived with them prefacing the appointment time isn't guaranteed, and as soon as you walk in, they were playing Pitch Perfect. Not that I have a problem with that, but in a doctors office? I expected better. I checked in, filled out forms, and waited and waited.. After waiting for a half hour they sent me down to xray. Why they didn't send me down as soon as I checked in, I don't know. However, on a side note, if you get xray's validation you won't pay for parking.
After the xray ordeal I come back up to have Dr. Pascual help me. It started off cordial where greetings were exchanged and had to give a synopsis of what brought me in. As I'm talking she's playing with my feet (what I expected her to do) and asked if I had pain here and there. As there was no pain, I said no. I attempted to the best of my non-doctoral ability to explain where I have the most pain.
As a doctor, I'm not expecting her to bend her back for me, (which I also wouldn't advise as I was SO uncomfortable with how she dresses - it's was VERY distressing. I'd advise to do a triple check in the mirror and if she questions herself, DON'T WEAR IT.)
Not to digress, she starts to get a little bitchy as to why I'm seeing her when I have pain, and she said for occasional pain I shouldn't have come to her. My response was, "this pain has been going on since last week, if this was "occasional" why would I have come to you?" Her reply was, oh I read your chart wrong. I guess reading thoroughly wasn't taught in medical school.
If you want a doctor who seems to NOT take an interest in your foot issues, she's your doctor. If you want a doctor who'll be listening and will work collaboratively with you, she's NOT the one. Find someone else, you'll be better off. read more
