Looked around town for a "plug" job as everyone else wants to do patches. We were in a constraint for time as we were heading home. For $10 the guys here got it plugged, sealed with tire cement, and balanced. I was back in the car and headed back to pack for home. We drove home ranging from 65-85mph with no issues and no leakage. Called and spoke to the fantastic Juan who said come on down. I thought I had just one nail in my left rear tire . The very alert Alan spotted another nail in my right one as well. This week my father brought his vehicle to this shop to address an oil leak, he is not a mechanic…read moreand specifically asked for help diagnosing and fixing an oil leak. Instead of properly diagnosing the leak issue , staff claimed he requested "valve cover repair" which is not true. He works in medicine and does not even use or know mechanical terms like "valve cover". He relied entirely on THIS SHOP's expertise to both identify and address the actual problem. They charged him almost 700$ for VALVE COVER gasket replacement and the oil leak was not fixed. They then refused responsibility and instead blamed my father, no refund, credit , proper diagnostic or fixing of the actual leak issue. IF the shop was unable to properly diagnose or address the oil leak, they failed to clearly communicate that to my father (the customer) before proceeding with repairs. This is absolutely unacceptable. If a customer comes in asking for help with an oil leak, it IS the shops legal responsibility under California Law to properly diagnose and NOT perform unrelated repair and then shift blame when it fails. This experience felt extremely misleading and exploitative especially in a community without mechanical/maintenance knowledge that depends on local shops to be honest. We will be filing a formal complaint with BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair) so the state can determine whether this shop properly followed legal and ethical standards. I strongly advise others to be cautious and get a second opinion before agreeing to ANY form of repairs here, Based on our experience we simply cannot recommend this shop for accurate diagnosis or reliable service. If they couldn't fix the oil leak then they should have said NO, instead of performing a repair that did not address the problem. UPDATE: golden tires put on a legal document (receipt) that labor for 1 HOUR was 519.50 dollars. Receipt was also added in BAR formal complaint. State of California limits PER HOUR labor charges. DOUBLE CHECK or file formal complaint w BAR if you need further clarification.

Who in the right mind would buy two tires that are different, even if they're used and that the ad says nothing about this. Also, sure they will install them, but they don't balance the tires, because of course, that's extra. So coming in for $25 used tires thinking sure I'll pay $50 for two, ends up being over $100. If that is not crooked, I have no idea what is. The only thing I will say, though is the two employees that were there were very nice, and they were just doing what the owner told them to do. So I don't blame the employees at all. They were actually pretty cool.
