Alright so I am a senior Coug, so keep in mind I'm not an overly enthusiastic freshman with rose…read morecolored glasses. I give my personal experience a 5/5 because of the love I have for the University and what I've gained from my time as a student so far. But this review does include criticisms and acknowledgements of what I think highschool seniors thinking about WSU should evaluate for themselves. Here's my run-down of WSU: (4/5)Dorms: DO YOUR RESEARCH! Some dorms (Rogers, Streit-Perham and Stephenson) are all freshman dorms and will likely be a toss up: either the best or worst depending on your personality. They are cheaper and have a more fun atmosphere, but theft and mischief are real.Honestly, I recommend the male only and female only halls. Medium community and medium quality. The newer halls are great quality, usually poor community. Rich kids, mostly. (3/5)Food: Not bad. Could be better. Find your favorites and just eat them. Fill the gaps with Walmart food. (4.5/5)Facilities: Clean, state of the art, in most places. All of the main building are pretty great! I spend a lot of time studying on campus and have 10+ options of places to go. The Rec (gym is amazing! Make sure to go!) I've always liked mine, but some of the science buildings are older. (4.5/5)Education: Mine was great (I am in the com and bus colleges). Professors are all pretty wonderful, with a few exceptions. But some peoples' educations were just okay. I would go into more detail but I don't know enough about the other colleges at the University. One negative is that 90% of my classes have been lectures of 100 or more people. (5/5)Transportation: ACTUALLY AMAZING. Learn the bus schedule and use it. Sometimes it can be a bit of a longer wait or packed on the bus. But it's easy to get around most of the time. (4/5)WSU Community: pretty great, depending on your personality. It gets wild in a few areas. I do not recommend Greek Row at night for more reserved folks, but you'll always be safe. The Greek system can get pretty annoying and pervasive. You'll see Greek letters everywhere, but you get used to it and you don't need to join a frat or sorority to make friends. But if you hate everything about the Greek system and don't want to be around it, you'll have a hard time. It's not hard to make friends and loads of clubs to join. If you try to find friends, you will usually be able to make them. Everyone is fairly nice. The type of people who you can ask for directions or get random compliments from. Football season can be crazy, so traveling around the stadium is gonna be difficult. It's not for everyone, but 85% of people who go here wanting to like WSU, probably will. (3.5/5)Pullman: A good, solid college town. Cheap, small and friendly. The locals are great and put up with a lot of student bullshit. You do get your four seasons. But I hope you like amazon, because you can't shop a lot in the city, including clothing! It's certainly livable, but not a big city. If you're in a major that requires internships, that's something to keep in mind because you will likely have to move and try to get credits for a big internship.

Thank you for developing the Cosmic Crisp apple my new favorite, hat's off to you geniuses. :0)read more

The scheduling & rescheduling of drives is absolutely asinine. It took us two months before we were…read moreeven able to get someone to answer the phone. They wouldn't respond to emails either. As both myself & my husband work, getting there when they are open is difficult. All of the drives my daughter had with Scott, she came back crying because he yelled at her the entire time. Mostly for "driving too slow." We finally got her last drive rescheduled. Went in, and were told it was actually the next day. Which is crap. If they reschedule something for you, they should have the courtesy to call you & let you know that. I went in to pay the $30 for the "new day" of her last drive & 7-10 minutes later my daughter called me crying because Scott had yelled at her for the entire drive again. Saying she was "driving too fast" this time. Which is a shocker, because she has never gone over the speed limit while driving with my husband, myself or even Scott since he was known for telling her she drives too slow. He then proceeded to tell her "I'm the only reason you got to take this drive! If it wasn't for me, you would have failed two months ago! Congratulations you failed drivers Ed!" Made her pull over & drove her back. I'm sorry?? How is it our fault EVERYTIME we tried to schedule this drive by phone or email we never got a response?! Also, I have life 360. The drive she did with Scott said, "safe drive." Never once during her drive did her speed hit over 35mph, & that was on Scenic drive! Where the limit IS 35! I think Scott just didn't like my daughter & made her drives as awful as possible. He must either be a sexist, a racist or a homophobe. But I'm pretty confident he should not be allowed to be "teaching" these kids to drive. I find it very suspicious that right after I paid them, he told her she failed. Super unprofessional. If you're a straight white male, you'll probably be fine. Could not discourage you more to not take your kids here.

They never answer the phone. And the prices are outrageous. And Scott yelled at my child now he…read moredoesn't even want to drive anymore. DO NOT GO HERE YOU ARE WARNED!!!!!
