My two grandchildren LOVE the Montessori school in Pullman We love the highly-educated teachers, the positive and nurturing environment they create, and the encouragement they give. They always have a smile and something nice to say about each child as they arrive at and depart from school. I also appreciate that different cultural holidays are shared among all children; I, too, have learned. Both children have thrived at Montessori of Pullman. It has nurtured their desire for learning and set them up for academic success later in life. They have learned to interact well with other children, whether in play or in diffusing potential conflicts. It is helping them become wonderful humans. read more

not a professional school. came to pick up my child and a staff member would not let me take my child home. idk y, but I consider that illegal and unprofessional. It got so bad I had to call the police. u know what the police did? directly handed my son to me. I never thought I would have to call law enforcement to get my child from school. a one many other things, I do not recommend this school for anyone my child is thriving at a local public school. had problems his whole time. staff is very rude. read more

Unprofessional staff that is constantly rotating and can't even explain basic educational concepts (they also don't have formal degrees in education; a basic requirement at all public schools). Management and quality leadership is lacking in this very isolated community. read more

My girls have attended the Montessori School of Pullman since they were three years old. One is now 7 and the other is 5. I can't express how happy my husband and I are that we were able to give our kids this experience and makes sure they developed such a strong foundation for life. The school is amazing and helps my girls to grow both their academic and life skills. It has been wonderful to see them so happy about learning and going to school. The teachers are wonderful and really help the kids grow as individuals. When my daughter lists her family members her first room teacher is included on the list. Ms. Bev, the director of the school is outstanding: very helpful, supportive, and wonderful with the kids! As my older daughter has progressed up in the school the mixed age group model has helped her develop role model skills as well as how to interact with other kids she sees as her role model. The training of kids to be more self-reliant and motivated is a skill that is often overlooked but so valuable. The elementary option has presented her with many community opportunities including walks to the library, local parks, WSU museums and events. Guest specialists (novelists, scientists, computer programmers) are brought in to enrich the classroom. Ms. Sudha is great at getting the kiddos to challenge themselves and try new things while still empowering them to follow their interests. The week-long science camp is phenomenal and the recent addition of a science fair has gotten my kiddo over-the-mood excited. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could and would highly recommend the school. read more

Our oldest daughter (8 years old) has attended Montessori School of Pullman since she was 3 years old and our youngest daughter (4 years old) has attended for the last year and a half. It is so wonderful to see both of them so excited to head to school each and every day. Montessori does a fantastic job of giving children room to focus on their own interests while encouraging them to grow. There are so many things to like about the school, but in particular we feel that the school does an outstanding job of fostering intellectual curiosity by creating an environment where children view questioning and learning as fun and valuable. We definitely feel like our girls will be life-long learners and Montessori has been an integral part of that. Additionally, we love that Montessori classrooms emphasize that the children are part of a community and it is great to see the students problem solve together and treat one another with empathy, as they truly care about one another. The Montessori approach has been a fantastic fit for our family and we could not be happier that we found the Montessori School of Pullman! read more
