This was mid-May, and daily temps were up into the 90's . So, I reached out to IV Air and asked if they could come out and troubleshoot. Eric and Alex came out quickly within an hour or so and got to it. That led to the call you don't want to get, that the unit was in trouble and more specifically that it would need a new compressor. I had kinda been thinking was going to happen at some point soon due to the unit's age. Sure, I could have spent $1500 on a new compressor and had it working, but probably not for long. Eric recommended that due to refrigerant change and unit age to consider replacing the unit itself, it would be a much smarter long term investment and would likely reduce my power bill by installing a more efficient unit. Well, we did decide to move forward with that luckily equipment was available so these guys went and picked it up. I gotta say that the process was handled so professionally and was done so quickly that when I arrived back home everything had been completed. AC was on and running and the house was cool, the kids (and us) were happy! Remember, as I mentioned before, I was out of town the entire time this happened....so it was a real blessing to know that there are still guys that run companies out there such as these two who take care of business and are trustworthy, skilled, competent and easy to work with. Our vents were blowing out lukewarm air so we called his company after reading all the excellent Yelp reviews and by recommendations from friends. Oscar came out to add refrigerant to the system and explained that this would be the most economical test first, before doing extensive troubleshooting for leaks, pressure, etc. After 2 nights of running the AC, it didn't fix the problem and my 2yr and 3 yr old kids were up both nights crying from how hot it was in the house (The thermostat said 86 degrees, but it felt even hotter). I called Oscar and he was SO helpful. I could tell that he truly cared. He came over later that day before we had to put our kiddos through another unbearable hot night. He troubleshooted the problem and I am HAPPY to say that we all slept perfectly that night!! He truly went above and beyond, and it shows how willing he is to help his customers. Then we had a similar issue with one of our rental units that we own. Again, he was so accommodating to work with our female tenants and their busy schedules. Pablo was referred to us and highly recommended. He definitely lived up to the expectations…read more Pablo came and assessed our situation. He checked the outside unit and climbed into the attic to check the components up there. He communicated to us what he thought was needed and answered all our questions. We agreed on the work that was needed, which included replacing the condenser, and gave a date for when he'd complete the project. Pablo confirmed the day before and showed up as promised. He and his team were very professional and conscientious (e.g., laid down a floor cover for when they came into the house for work in the attic). They completed the project in a day and we finally have nice cold air flowing through the house again!!! We are absolutely happy with the quality and professionalism of Pablo and his team's work. As an aside, we had a previous consultation and quote provided by a Costco vendor and their rep never did any of the pre-work Pablo did. The Costco vendor rep was just interested in getting us financed to buy a whole new HVAC system.
