We had a terrible experience with this company. They cut a truss while installing our AC. They blocked my husband's phone numbers when he brought this to their attention. The company sent my husband a shady "non disclosure" letter threatening legal action if we discussed our issues out in public. So far I've been trying to contact the company via messages and email with no response. I made an appointment and no one showed up nor did I get a call. There is no way to contact a live person and their office in El Centro is just rented space with no one there. I made another appointment for Tuesday morning. Let's see if they show. [1/2] I will start by saying that their customer service is terrible, they only respond to you through artificial intelligence and do not have a real person to answer, I could never get in touch with a real representative, the numbers do not work and I went to the office address listed on the internet for the CA Center and it does not exist, Last week we went in circles trying to set up a diagnostic appointment for my AC not working and when we finally after 2 days did I explained to the technician that we were trying to work through warranty, he assured me that they did work that way, They charged us the diagnostic fee $165 and said they would send the diagnostic to the warranty insurance in 2 days max, it has been 3 days and they still have not sent anything, I tried to contact our technician Raul Serrato and he only took our call once and said he would contact someone to see what was going on, he never called us back or sent us a text message with an update, I have sent 4 emails with the necessary information and asking them to contact me or confirm when they will send the diagnostic and I have not heard back, they did not even send the diagnostic to me. My husband and I have called the technician 4 times and no answer. I am very frustrated, I live in imperial valley and here it is very hot, I have 1 baby, 1 girl and a 72 year old person at home and they are having a very bad time with the weather I hope this review is useful and there is still something to do. read more

Unreliable and unprofessional, they came to do two services for us , I had some questions on the multiple fees , finally agreed on doing only one the services - duct cleaning , they stated the job and then decided they didn't want continue to service my home. On 7-11-20 I purchased a mini-split 1-ton, BAM12 unit with a maintenance agreement plan on a trade in (note: my existing mini-split was purchased in 2013 from the AC Guys was working perfectly. I thought I got a great deal). Shortly after a year of having the mini-split BAM12, I noticed that the unit would never cycle off after reaching the room's preset temperature. On 8-5-21, Jesus the technician was dispatched to my residence at 2252 I Yturralde St. Calecxico Ca. to assess my mini-split problem during which time, he removed the circuit control board for repair by the manufacturer and didn't return it until about 3 to 4 months later. Jesus finally returned with the circuit control board sometime in November 2021 and installed it. The mini-split won't power on when using the remote control. Jesus concluded that the transformer needed to be replaced. On January 28, 2022, Manuel from the AC Guys arrived on a service call I initiated. His service call information was for a central unit, not a mini-split, therefore I provided him with the history of my mini-split he then briefly assessed the mini-split and concluded that the capacitor needed replaced. Unfortunately, since Manuel wasn't provided with the correct information, he did not have the parts on his service vehicle and left. Now, I've corresponding by emails with Gracie from the El Centro Ca. location and I'm told that they have to wait on the manufacturer from Mexicali B.C. Mexico to send the replacement parts as well as, emailing Louis from Chula Vista Ca. As a loyal customer since 2013, I feel that my situation is being ignored and everybody is passing the buck on the manufacturer and COVID-19. I need my mini-split fixed before the summer, therefore I am giving AC guys 1-star until I get my mini-split fix. read more

ANYBODY ELSE!!!!! Three years and this company still can't get it right. After taking a year to resolve our initial issue with a bad unit (took them recharging the freon multiple times before replacing a band compressor), but now as we are required to use them annually to service to maintain a warranty, they "completed" unauthorized repairs they are unable to prove. We were charged for 4 lbs of freon ($200) and per their own invoice this only needs to be completed for leaks or if there is any part replaced that requires cutting the Copper refrigerant lines and re-Brazing (welding) the lines again. Now I've had to take this to the BBB and CSLB. read more

We purchased an AC with this company back in 2019, this complaint is not against the employees is towards the owner of this commerce. Our AC never worked properly, they made a lot of repairs since the day it was install until this current year 2024. They never were able to fix this unit. My old unit was replaced for a new unit this year as well never worked. We tried to contact the owner of this place to repair this AC, he never call he only answer via email or via Facebook, he never called or anything. Our AC unit broke down this past month we were without ac with this summer in the valley and he only said that the part was back order and will take 7-14 days to receive, well every single day we called no answer, only once they answer and after that they did not answer. The resolution to this problems was , I could go and buy the compressor that will cost me $800 dollars plus the free on coming to a total of $1100, and maybe later they will be able to refund me, why would I pay for something it was under warranty make no sense. Till this day they never called me back they never email me my invoices nothing. I am doing this complaint so no more people get scammed by this company and I stated is not the employees is the owner of this business. He does not care about customer because he got paid his money for something it never worked properly. This company should not be even running because they do not offer any help, they let down and do not care. Had a BAir one ton inverter unit installed in the bedroom of my craftsman home in South Park. My installer was Raoul; he was polite, efficient, and hard working. It was a complex job including some extra wiring, and he did everything required without breaking stride. Louis was also on-site for part of the install, and was very helpful and accommodating, even going out to pick up a new bracket when I decided I wanted the external unit off the ground. In short, these guys were great. The unit itself looks great and is running well so far. Louis helped me set up the BAir app so that I can control it remotely from my cellphone, which is very useful. If all is well in a few months, I'll buy another unit from these folks for my living room. read more

After our AC went out this summer, the insurance company initially sent out another company that is heavily promoted in the Valley and told us they did not know hot to fix our unit. We moved on to another company. The 2nd company was also of no help. Finally our insurance company sent us the AC Guys and our experience has been nothing but great. The technicians Jesus and Manuel have been great, as well as Gracie in the office. Everyone has been very responsive and they were able to get us back home in a couple of days while parts shipped after having to leave for 3 weeks. A/C unit went out... called my insurance and the A/C Guys came out and got the job done quick and fast!

DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!. Although they did provide "adequate" service these people must tell time by sun position and mood because they never make their appointments. I called them EARLY to set an appointment and be the first call of the day. They said their tech would be in before noon. Fast forward to 2 PM and still no tech. I call them to get an update. They say they're running late and will be there in an hour. 3 PM comes around and STILL no tech. I call back and they say it will be another hour. Fast forward to 5:30 before I get a knock at my door. Good news, he found the problem. Bad news, it's so late that he doesn't have the parts to fix it and will have to be back TOMORROW. 10 am the next day and 500 dollars later my problem is "fixed". I say "fixed" because 6 weeks later the same unit they worked on stopped working again. And in a scene from Groundhog Day I called 5 mins before they opened to be the first call of the day and they said they'd be here before 2pm. I called at 2:10 pm (seriously) and they said they would be an hour and a half late.....somebody help me please! read more

We have been using Becerril Air for over 10 years. We have installed ductless units, done maintenance on our existing units and just recently installed a Nest thermostat. In this last install, we had been struggling with getting the AC unit on a newly leased space. it seemed it was working but couldn't get the temperature down. Update 09/29/15 STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I WAS TOLD BY THESE CROOKS THAT A FORM FOR A REBATE WOULD BE SENT FROM THEIR OFFICE TO IID. I waited two months and called IID and said that they never received the application. I called Becerril and they told me they had an "issue" with the form. Daniel Lizarraga told me to send over my IID account number and he would take care of it. I sent him the information and it's been a week and a half and I have not heard back (I tried emailing back and making phone calls and no response). Overall stay away from this place! Poor customer service and they drop the ball on pretty much everything! --------- People working at the office need to have better communication with the techs. I purchased an A/C unit. They quickly went out to give us an estimate (on a Thursday). They told us they would swing by on Friday to measure and install by Monday. Come Monday, and installation gets pushed to Tuesday. Come Tuesday, and we are told the measurements made were not correct and they need to go back and to make adjustments and it had to be pushed by Friday by 9am. Luckily, they did showed up on Friday, until 1 PM. The installation went great. Unfortunately we did not have an air filter and we were told that they would bring one right away. Techs left, we waited all day, and no one came by. Because we were in a time crunch, we decided to go with this company, instead of shopping around. I understand there might be issues that come up, but if you say something stick to it or keep us posted. We had to constantly ask when they were going to come instead of them calling US and telling us what's going on. Improve your customer service and I assure you this business easily can go from 2 stars to 5. read more

Hello again, Remember my review of ARS Heating and A/C people, they suck! But the NEST people could not be more helpful when I reported the scam that ARS tried to pull on me. The NEST people contacted this outfit, Becerril Air and they called me that same afternoon. The advisor who was on the phone with me Louis Fuentes, was very understanding and said he could have a man out to my house that evening! Can you imagine that, a service man would show up, after hours, to help me! I told them that if he could come the next day it would be fine and the service guy showed up on Saturday morning, on time! Very impressive. He installed the two NEST thermostats immediately, showed us how to operate the "learning thermostats" and was very professional and polite. So much for ARS telling me that they could not install the thermostats because I had an A/C unit down, and OH do you remember that ARS were the people who INSTALLED the HVAC in the house we bought and the A/C Unit was bad in less than 9 years!!! BTW, we just got our utility bill from SDG&E and my bill is reduced by $100.00 in one month. The investment in the NEST thermostats is paying off! Avoid this company at all costs! They are very cordial and accommodating with you when they are selling the units to you but if they screw something up on the installation or you need them to come out and service a unit forget about it. They will set up an appointment and not show up, then call you hours later to tell you that it will not be possible to have someone come out and they need to reschedule you. I have been rescheduled twice and I made my appointment weeks in advance, not the day before or same day. So now I have a $1,400 fan that just blows the hot air in the room around. Spend a few extra dollars and go with a reputable company. read more

Very nice when selling AC unit Waited a week with no AC to get unit installed. But then was told someone would come and measure before installation. No one came to measure they just arrived on installation day and figured out unit did not fit space. So I had to get a smaller unit and wait another 5 days without AC to get smaller unit. At that time made an appointment to have my ducts cleaned service person never showed up or called on appointment day. Decided not to even bother with them since their service was so bad. Months later I get a call from their receptionist saying I owe for an additional unit, which was the one they never installed because it was too big. Explained this to them and they said they would call me back with more information. They never called back until about a year later with the same issue. Re-iterated what I had explained to them a year ago and again said they would look into it and get back to me. It is has now been 2 years since the new AC was put in and it is not working properly. Called to see about 10 year warranty I bought from them and they said it is invalid because I did not have maintenance done on my AC through their company. I asked for refund on warranty since I am unable to use and was told by Bianca I could not. This is the worst customer service company I have ever come across. They do not care about following up on their customers. Their main goal is to sell you a unit and then on to the next person. This is not a customer friendly business. I got a response from Business Manger who wrote back and said they are sorry I felt I was not attended to properly which leads me to understand he believes their customer service was adequate. My initial impression of this company was good, however it all changed when I was ready to sign on the dotted line. I was putting this unit in my condo and it had taken several months to get it approved through the HOA. During the delay I had asked if the pricing was going to stay the same and the response I got each time was, yes it would. When confirming the final price and installation with the "owner" Louis Fuentes, he sent me quotes that were much higher than the initial quote. When I said something he told me they could no longer honor the quote or the discount. The LACK of communication from this company is HORRIBLE. Greatly disappointed and astonished that in today's environment of acquiring business they miserably failed in appropriate communication. I would stay clear of this company. Avoid getting ripped off like I did. After spending 5k on a new 4 ton a/c unit, I was promised 2 years of free maintenence by the sales rep Daniel Lizarraga, and usually when you shake on something and after spending a large amount on a unit, it would sound reasonable to believe they would follow through on their promises... of course they didn't, and they blame me for not getting it in writing. When they installed the unit I wasn't able to be at home, so they ruined my rain gutters by placing their ladders on the front of the house instead of on the side, where they had done when I got the estimate. When I asked them for the old a/c unit they were unable to tell me where they had it since they had various storage facilities. Long story short, they were not able to "find" my old unit, and I was never reimbursed for fixing my broken gutters, now they're charging me 85 dollars to go service my a/c because of a leak the unit sprung and they claim if I use any outside service it will void their warranty, and they act like all this is all business as usual. If you want to deal with this subpar service, do it at your own risk but just know you'll have a headache for the next several years if you do. read more

After reading reviews of air conditioning companies in El Centro and Brawley, this looked like a good company to go with. Called about 10ish, they had someone out before 12:00. Very sharp and personable receptionist, and the repairman was as professional as one could expect. He showed me the problem: fire had happened and caused damage in the 2 3/4 year old air conditioning condenser, and it ruined the contactor, capacitor, and wires. He showed me;it was one ugly mess. This was a Saturday and because I called before 10:00, they didn't charge me after hour fees. The breakdown was contactor-218.00, capacitor-175.00, wires-175, dispatch-85.00. Total-653.00. This was what you'd expect, and it was fair. I would highly reccomend this company after my own experience. read more

I called around and got multiple quotes for a mini split system. Becerril Air gave the best quote and even offered a warranty. I decided to go with them and I am sure glad I did. Julio and a helper installed my mini split 2 ton system. The install ended up taking all day because I wanted the condenser mounted on the wall and they had to leave to get the bracket, but that did not really bother me because they did a great job with the install. I love that the condenser is wall mounted and out of the way, and I think it looks good. The mini spilt system is awesome and really pushes out some cold air. I have a kilowatt meter installed and the system really does not use too much power. I can't speak for the heating element, but it is nice that feature is included. Julio explained everything and cleaned up afterwards. I would Becerril Air to everyone and I will use them again if I ever need anything else. read more

Shameful. Deceitful. These are just a few words that describe this company. I can agree with the last review. This company continues to change names to hide their reputation. The product they sell you is made of low quality. Installation is not professional, and when you call them out on their poor installation and product, they will say it's either too old now or that you didn't maintain your unit (which I did). I learned to do research on ductless ac and not to go the cheapest route. Please do your homework! Ps - let me add that after I posted this review, the owner or spokesman for the business reached out and attacked me, saying I wasn't a customer. In fact, he asked why I didn't pay a handyman I rated highly on my account to come fix my problems. Didn't even attempt to make things right. I feel like I'm in a Saturday Night Live skit. Really? Really!!! Not tops when it comes to service scheduling. Thursday I ask for an appointment because I'm not getting cold air. Best they can do is Monday between 1:00 and 3:00. No problem, I change my work schedule to accommodate. Sunday I get a call confirming Monday and asking if I can do 8:00 am. Really? I remind them I already changed my schedule to accommodate theirs. They now ask for 3:00-5:00 Monday. Monday between 3-5 I call to find out where they are at and when they will arrive. Well, maybe 6:00 pm. I am told to cancel my plans for the night or reschedule for the coming Friday. Really? Really!! I've referred customers to them. Maybe that's why they are too busy. Update: tech arrived a little before 6:00 pm. Problem fixed by 7:00. Box needed to be fully taped. Wasn't done so during installation. City permit inspector didn't catch it either. Air was getting out, causing water to back up and stop the system before the set temperature was reached. Tech informed me that the scheduler just went out on maternity leave and some inexperienced guys were filling in. That explains it!
