My Prius's catalytic converter was stolen (along with many others) at the beginning of the COVID crisis. I called all of the muffler shops in my area, but Kazi was by far the most helpful. Kazi is honest and genuinely cares about his customers and always has my back (even if it is less profitable for him). His background as an engineer gives him a unique ability to explain even the most complex issues in a straightforward and easy to understand way. I am INDEBTED to this shop for the extreme care taken to uniquely design a catalytic converter shield for my 2005 Toyota Prius. Ramon did amazing work welding a metal grid that protects my cat converter but won't cause my car to over heat like other shields. In addition to that, they went above and beyond welding metal bars to common access points to further prevent theft. After it was all done, they thoroughly and proudly walked me through each and every modification they made for my car's safety. Also, when test driving my car after, Ramon and Kazi noticed my struts and shocks were trashed. Upon further inspection they noticed that half of them were leaking (even showed me pictures). Both were supposedly replaced (with a lifetime warranty) a little over 1 year ago at a different, well known shop. I took it back to that shop, asking them to inspect the struts and shocks and was told everything was perfectly fine. I then showed them the photos of my leaking struts and shocks and torn boots (to their surprise). They then took the car back, properly diagnosed the problem, and replaced them free of cost. I had a bad experience with ABW ,I was quoted a certain price of 1000 dollars to do more work to my classic truck for which I had already paid them 2000 dollars just to have my truck leave me stranded after just driving it 12 miles. I had it towed back to ABW and was quoted another 1000 when they said my truck was ready they tacked on another 700 to the cost without my consent for added work. Not even a phone call of any kind. Great Service and People. Have been taking my car here for more than a year now. Helped me save a lot of money vs me taking it to the dealership. Found this place when I took my car to the dealership for a AC issue. Dealership wanted to replace the entire thing. Brought it here and they fixed it without me replacing everything. Guess what, AC still works great. Been bringing my car here for service and repairs since than. Anything they have fixed, I never had to bring the car back to them for any reason. The A/C on my 89 went out. I took it to the dealer who kept it for three days and could not find the problem nor fix it. I had it in four other A/C shops and none of them, after replacing many expensive parts could not fix it. One last try, I took it to A B W it was a smart move. Stay away from this place!!! Went there 2 years ago to replace the cat converter and now I can NOT pass Smog check because it has the wrong part. Went back to check with Khan and he told me the part was legal two years ago. Did some research and came to the following: 1) The Smog guy told me he has never of such thing. 2) Went the another shop and found the part was for a 3.4L engine instead of 2.4L. 3) The quote to have the problem fixed from another shop was less than Khan's offer of parts only w/o labor. Now I know why their supplier was not able produce any document stating this part was the correct one after waiting 2 hours! I don't mind a mistake. We are human, but lie and give me the run around is wrong. I will contact BBB on this guy. read more

I learned that ABW is under new ownership and Qazi helped me get new brake pads and rotor on my Toyota so that I can drive up to Tahoe with peace of mind. If you have a car issue that requires someone intelligent to look at the symptoms, as opposed to a mechanic that follows a cookbook recipe, this is the place. Khan not only quickly diagnosed a weird noise from my alternator due to poor installation, he figured out a noise from the front end that stumped about four other places. He took it on a road test and told me I needed new tires, and didn't even charge me! Now I know that he is an ex-electrical engineer from Sun Microsystems. Wife's 93 Camry with A/C not working. Other shops quoted me $500-600 but said it could be much higher if any other components needed replacing or the leak was hard to find. I spoke with Khan who was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He took care of all the repairs, which included a conversion kit to R-134a, for a total out the door cash (saved 4%) price of $300. What a great deal! He had the car overnight and kept it inside so it would be very secure. This place really earned my trust & respect because they never tried to up-sell me on any other repairs. I had a heater core go out in a 2003 Chevy S-10. Called around and everyone wanted $1,300 just to pull the dash apart. That's not counting parts and installation. Khan did it all for $1,100. I've taken two different vehicles to ABW over the past ten years or so, a Mercury Sable and then a Honda Element. In 5-6 visits, at least twice they told me the repairs I thought were needed were unnecessary. The most recent was a coolant system repair that the dealer told me was urgently needed, which ABW said was completely false. ABW is a smooth talker...he will do good in your first visit..but would put inferior replacement parts which will break down in couple of months and you are back there with same problem and some time with new ones. You will notice your frequency of major car problem going up. I had my steering pump replaced three times...each time he gave different excuses and charged me close to $800 each time. Last summer, I had some issues with noise under the hood, various shops found the problem but each wanted to charge me quite a bit. I finally took it to ABW based on a recommendation. ABW found the same issue but was charging a whole lot less than others. I was there mid morning, they found the issue, gave me a quote on the parts+labor and the expected time for later that afternoon. I came back, my car was ready, fixed and the price I paid cheaper than all other shops I went to. They even fixed another minor issue under the hood, at no charge as there was no parts to replace and only took a few minutes. I had a super quiet, smooth drive home.
