With so many Japanese restaurants, aburi market still sits close to the top in my books. It's hard to pick the best rolls, so I went with the False Creek assorted sushi along with some fresh tuna sashimi.

This place continues to be great! It is in a perfect location, so close to Ambleside park. The variety in the grab and go section is amazing. I wanted to get everything! I got some aburi with Cali roll, the salmon avo don, the katsu sando. All of it was delicious. The service was quick as well. I will definitely come back if in the area.

Surprisingly good. Can recommend. Wouldn't mind buying from this place again when I need a quick bite.

I really love the concept of this store, went in to grab a quick bite and to get dinner to bring home. I got the salmon aburi and it's so good and decently priced. I also got a teriyaki rice bowl to bring home and it was absolutely filling and the same price as a Fujiya rice bowl which was great! The store has a wide selection of Japanese goods and deals on certain days for hot food. Staff were friendly and kind, great place for grab and go Japanese food that is of higher quality!

Pricy but very high quality Japanese (Hokkaido themed) market by Ambleside area. Came here to see what the hype was all about. Parking is available in the lot beneath the building, as well as on the streets. The place is run by the same company that operate Miku and Minami (high end Japanese dining in Downtown Vancouver), so the bar was already set high. Yes, the stuff is pricey, but it sure is delicious. With a lightened wallet I sampled their sushi and rolls, chicken karaage, and deep fried oysters. The food is prepared very meticulously. That Japanese touch is there. Everything was super tasty. The only strange thing is that the seating area in the corner has a tank of hot water but no tea. Tea is an extra charge here. I will be back to try more stuff. The only thing limiting me this time was my wallet and my stomach.

ABURI MARKET Grosvenor Ambleside just celebrated their 1 year anniversary and is brought here by the team behind Miku & Minami restaurants. I could not resist a peek inside this authentic Japanese Washoku and a few purchases along the way. This elevated market carries fresh sushi, onigiri, premium sashimi, wagyu steak from the Iwate Prefecture of Japan - ribeye, striploin, sukiyaki or yakuniku cuts - and an aisle dedicated to imported snacks, sweets and desserts. They have marvellous ready to eat ramen meal kits, Gyoza Bar bentos, salads and Shojin vegan plant-based Japanese meal options. Literally had to peel myself away from their sashimi on display and the Arita-Yaki plateware. I picked up some ready made bentos, assorted sushi, imported snacks and condiments to bring home which the family raved about. Positively delicious.

I came here with my Yelper friend C. Aburi Market is owned by the same owner as Miku. It is a Japanese market that sells high quality food and snacks. We picked up dinner here. There is one big table and a microwave for you to heat up the food. I also picked up some Japanese snacks and goodies. The service was great here. I wanted fresh fried oyster and the staff was very helpful and willing to fry fresh ones for me. I got chicken teriyaki, fried oyster and a lemon drink. Everything was tasty. Everything was made fresh on the day. They have high quality cut meat as well. If you come on a Wednesday, there are discounts on meat. After dinner, I ended up picking other items: chocolate, miso soup paste and some snacks. I will be back next time I am in the area.

I love this place! I walked past it whenever I was in the area on Sunday but it was closed on Sunday then. But they are finally open on Sundays. Aburi Market is by the same management of Miku and Minami, so you know you will be getting quality products here. It is not a big place but it has a bit of everything. From fresh wagyu and fish to the condiments and drinks and cultural items. The highlight for me is the ready to eat section. It has all the Japanese dishes I love. Sashimi, chirashi, sushi, the fried stuff, the rice, sando, appetizer stuff and more. I decided to try the fried oyster sandwich and the basic chirashi. Both were delicious! You could eat by the beach or park or even by the little patio right outside. There is also a microwave by the cashiers to heat up food if needed. I can see myself coming here very often whenever I am in the area now. I want everything!

Aburi sushi for $13.50! This is unheard of for West Vancouver! It's an identical version of Miku/Minami as this place is owned by the same company, but the Aburi is a fraction of the price! They also offer a wide variety of other ready made dishes, housewares, and meats to cook. I would highly recommend a visit here as there's something you will find no matter what!

Great quality and service. Their rolls are very fresh and tasty without being overly fishy. However their prices are quite high.
