Yeah, you guessed; she was flat as a pancake, but I was able to wobble my Kia over to Hoovers Farm Market. I called my car insurance and asked for a tow - you don't have roadside service on your car insurance; What the heck?? I'm googling (wishing I could just shop at Hoovers), saw good reviews from JK Towing, asked for the price (which I felt decent); how long will it take you to get to me (25ish minutes - doable); called Costco and said I'll be there within the hour; they're like; yeah right. Sure enough, got picked up within the time frame promised. Costco was a mad house of crazed Thanksgiving shoppers, but this guy was very patient and weaved his truck/my car and was able to park it in the designated tire parking spot, with swift expertise.

I attempted to get my car inspected but am having issues with the emissions and was unable to get it inspected that day. I never received an invoice. When my son resigned a week later, the amount I owed the garage for an inspection that was not able to completed at the moment was deducted from his final pay. I can reimburse my son however, I would think the business would send an invoice to the person who owns the vehicle especially since I (THE CUSTOMER) called to schedule the inspection. Who deducts the amount a CUSTOMER owes the business from an employees paycheck? (I can only imagine while working at a bank that a family member doesn't make their loan payment and my employer decides to take it out of my check?!?! Seriously??!) I called AAA and they sent me a highway service technician from Wayne's Towing in Elizabethtown. Response was timely. Two units responded. One truck ran a signboard while the other provided me services. The whole setup increased the safety on scene exponentially, both for myself and for the technician servicing my vehicle. My service tech Emoni made our experience a pleasant one. Despite my concerns that my manhood was in question, having run out of gas on a date with my wife, Emoni kept things humorous and light and gave me the ribbing I deserved, without being condescending or rude. He made an otherwise frustrating situation a moment to laugh. He was very cautious and watched traffic as he worked. He got me going and pointed me in the direction of a gas station. He was respectful of my vehicle, brought the right equipment to fill my cap less fuel system, and didn't spill a drop on my vehicle. Our tow operators are some of the most under appreciated folks out there. Please, when you see a tow operator, move over and slow down. Proceed with caution. It may be my new friend Emoni out there, just trying to feed his family. Wayne's did a great job for me and they get my five star review.
