For three months now these bozos have been bothering me for a bill I refuse to pay. Why am I refusing to pay it? Because they sent me supplies without telling me they were dropping my insurance. Later when they sent me a bill, I sent the supplies back. They then told me my Philips Amara mask and headgear arrived "open". OK I said, send me the mask back and I'll pay you. They continue to have their foreign, know nothing billing dept. call me 1 to 2 times a week demanding the full amount and claiming they have no idea about my missing mask. So if anybody from AR is reading this- my message us simple- no mask, no money. Get you s--- together fools. read more

My advice. RUN! I had an order for a portable CPAP from my doctor sent to them to be filled that was billed and paid for by my insurance company cause my machine is 10 years old. Absolute has been robocalling me to "book an appointment" and refuses to give me my machine that is already paid for until I give them my credit card information. I have politely explained several times thats not happening so if something isnt covered by my insurance in the future the order cannot be filled and my account hit with surprise medical charges. They continue to say its only company policy and I will not be billed. I dont believe them. So they are holding my medical equipment hostage. So if this is how they treat customers. The patient care is going to be worse. Run and do not look back. read more

Thai the resp therapist I had was wonderful. She went slowly through everything on my new cpap machine. We were in a private room where she explained how the device works, setting it up, and choosing and fitting a nasal device to me. I'm truthfully not sure if it is going to work or be comfortable enough to sleep in, but I can update my review later with the results. The cost for the machine on my end net insurance was about $330 out of pocket. The attachments and things you have to change and clean daily, weekly, monthly, every few months are overwhelming, but supposedly they setup an auto payment and delivery of those things. Communication with Thai by email gets a quick reply. Very satisfied with things so far. The office is in the back lower part of the building. I mapped it to the main building then remembered they said it was around back. Apt time was prompt and the hour Thai said she needed was just the right amount of time. The only anxiety part cost wise is that they say the insurance company can take the device back of you don't use it a certain % of the time in the first 10 months and they monitor everything regularly. Because of that I had some issues with getting RI services paid for. This company doesn't bother or doesn't have the means to see if their faxes fo through. My doctor's office did not receive the fax sent one week ago. I followed up to find out why the delay only to learn this. When I spoke to Absolute this morning, turns out they're not setting up new patient appointments anyway due to the corona virus. When we're they planning to contact me about this??? Do not count on them. My experience showed me their basic incompetence. read more

I just want to take a minute, to tell how great absolute Respiratory Care is. I've had nothing but, the best experience when dealing with absolute Respiratory Care. The staff, I deal with on the phone, are always kind courteous and understanding. I feel like they care about me, and my wellbeing. I want to give , a special thanks to, Caitlyn she always takes awesome care of me. I just have to really thank her, because anytime I have a problem with something, she always helps me. They actually earned zero stars, so they owe me one star. Upon dealing with then the first thing was coverage, they told me that all the equipment was covered by my insurance and then a month later I start getting bills for the CPAP equipment. So I call their billing department and had the pleasure of speaking to the most rude and obnoxious billing represenative. When I questioned the bill and before I could finish my sentance she said well the nurse must have read it wrong. So now the first thing to go wrong is they dont know how to read coverage properly. Now comes the pains of not fitting the equipment properly and 500 phones call about how I am not doing something correctly. I just called again to order equipment and the first girl I talked to gives me attitude....all done with this group!!!! read more

Robocalls, unable to get through during business hours, awful customer service. They didn't get back to me when I tried to sign up. They called and apologized so I signed up with them. Now It is a chore to get through , customer service still sucks, and I will be looking elsewhere. Good luck if you are considering them. read more

Take my advice and find a different vendor. This business is very difficult to deal with. Annoying automated phone calls they send out all too frequently; if you respond to the questions they ask...they mail you out equipment. Not that you ever ordered anything! Deceptive. Then, half of the time they send you out the wrong stuff! Last, in trying to resolve any issues with the office staff, it takes weeks to get anything done. read more

I have 2 aunts that receive oxygen from this company We've dealt with another large company before changing to Absolute and couldn't believe the quality service we have received since changing. During this past winter they called us several times to make sure we knew there was a large storm coming and when we did lose power called us several times to check status of our back up equipment. I had been a customer of Absolute for nearly 3 years. They dropped Medicare patients in July. They were unable to resolve a problem with my CPAP and refused to send the machine back to Resmed for repairs. I've been without a CPAP for nearly a month. For the most part, the staff is ill trained and more combative than you would expect. The place is nearly dysfunctional. I had an entire conversation with a staff member who was reading from another patient's record. Find a reputable dealer. read more

my cpap broke last night, I called absolute respiratory as a new patient at 830am and they were able to get an order from my doctor and get me setup with a new machine by 3pm. I met with Andra who showed me how to use the new machine and she was wonderful. I would highly recommend Absolute Respiratory to anyone! read more

I understand we are in the middle of a health crisis but that should not affect honesty and courtesy. It took me 2 weeks to get my supplies due to the fact that when they took me order I was under the impression it would be shipped fairly quickly. When I didn't see the charge on my card I called and spoke to Alisha and was told she would ck and get back. Ok, I waited. I was notified that she needed a prescription from the Dr to get nose buds. Dr was contacted and by Wednesday his office sent the script over. Call Absolute and was told not yet. Called Dr and was told it was. Waited until the following Friday and was told nothing came in yet. Called Dr and they told me and confirmed the day and time it was sent, last Wednesday. Called back on Monday and spoke to a manager and TOLD. Her that it WAS sent, she found it, it was STUCK IN THE FAX MACHINE. Really, just tell the truth and be courteous instead of being lazy with no follow thru. read more

I just want to say that jayne and the staff are great when the hospital sent me home with a my cpap machine with the wrong pressure settings and they never set up a sleep study for me!!! I wanted to take a minute out of my busy day to express my appreciation for the exceptional customer service I received today at Absolute Respiratory Care in Johnston, RI. I live about 20 miles from there and work 75 miles away, so I am forced to get to places close to 5pm closing time. That is what happened today as I pulled into the lot at 4:45 pm. I had many questions about a new sleep mask for my CPAP machine, and the woman I dealt with, Caitlyn, didn't seem to mind answering those many questions, and showing me different options for a mask. She joked she had to attend her Dad's birthday party too, but she never made me feel rushed at all. I have also previously dealt with Mona from Absolute on the phone, and she too never seems to mind the question I always seem to have. They are a tremendous reflection on a small local business that I have to say is a rare gem with the vast amount of subpar customer service out there in the consumer world.
