I can't stand spam calls and pretty much every time I looked online for houses so I would have an idea what to expect we were always contacted by another realtor. I told Allison upfront I was a planner and preferred not to be contacted on a regular schedule and that I would contact her when we were ready. She assured me that our privacy would be respected and when other realtors contacted me from my online searches I made sure to let them know I was working with Allison and that stopped all the annoying spam texts & calls. So we are officially empty nesters now and a lot closer to pulling the trigger. Allison has answered the questions I have had since last year without ever trying to push us to make a decision sooner. I'm sure it's hard to get leads and with the market not ideal realtors seem more aggressive than usual. But I originally let Allison know if she wanted to text once a month or if there was something she saw on the market that looked like a fit for us to email it to me. She has kept her promise, answering all my questions about location, new construction in our area & Eado area. I came to Investment asset group seeking options: I recently fell on hard times and fell behind on my mortgage. I had tried to refinance or even get a modification on my mortgage but no bank wanted to work with me. I did not want to foreclose, nor do anything that would further hurt my credit. Furthermore, I was afraid that if I sold, I would barely have enough to pay the mortgage and not enough to get me into another place I could afford. To start everything: My fiancée and I were purchasing a new house, where we came across the house we ended up purchasing. First the house was about 95% done just. Needed a few things on the inside completed. Tom the project manager, was not very helpful. After we got our 3rd party inspection, Tom told us he would take care of the issues the inspector found, especially the backyard where the ground was corrupted. Well after getting the keys this was never taken care of nor did we get the opportunity for a final walk. Also within the buying process (prior to closing) Tom told us he would take care of the grass and trees until we closed on the house and after that we would have to take over. Which is fine, except he did not take care of any of it. Our trees were dead when we got the keys. After getting the keys (prior to moving in) I would go and water the grass and trees daily to make sure the lawn looked okay but it was too far gone for the trees. Also when we were appliance shopping for the fridge, I asked Tom multiple times what is the measurement of the area for the fridge. His response was "it can hold a regular fridge". This made the process of purchasing a fridge very difficult and at the time we didn't have the keys so I couldn't go in and measure myself. Finally we were able to get the info about a week later and we were able to purchase a fridge. Also I want to add that when we did close and the house was supposed to be cleaned by the cleaning crew. They sent one person to clean the house who attempted to "clean" the house in 15 minutes. Which they didn't clean at all, there was dust and debris on the floor. We had to contact Tom to have the cleaning service come back again same day to clean. Even after the second attempt, we found that bathrooms and shower heads; countertops etc were not cleaned. At this point we were fed up and unfortunately had to bite the bullet here. Reminder this house was completed September 2022, we moved in October 8th 2022. In December we noticed a crack in our master bedroom ceiling, so we requests to have someone come take a look. The gentleman was able to patch it up pretty quickly that day and told us it was a "settlement crack". The following day, my fiancée and I received an email from KB Homes telling us that the crack that was fixed is not included in our warranty and that it was only fixed on good faith. Which if this is a settlement issue on the house, then that would factor down to a foundation issue on the house. Also mind you, this house was built in 2022 so not sure why we would see such a crack that quickly on the house. Again, I DO NOT recommend purchasing a house with this builder. And if you do, decline to answer any surgery questions until after you've lived in the house at least a month or two. This will give you the opportunity to see the response times from employees and experience the house. If anyone would like to see the email from KB please let me know. I will add the email as well

Of course there were very few homes that met our needs, so we ended up "giving" the team our deal with a builder that were were looking at prior to signing up with Cathy Stubbs Team. The builder ended up being a HORRIBLE experience as well, but we later found out, that our realtor did NOTHING for us in regards to being misled, and assisting us in the negotiation process, due to the fact that she was paid at sign of contract, and the builder marked up the price of our home, to accommodate the realtors cut. Needless to say, she didn't assist when a very serious situation went down during the building process, and she didn't even show up to closing. To top that off, we never received any thank you gift, just cards for more business ( since we have our other home for sale).We went to another group to list our other home for sale.
