I do not recommend Absolute Plumbing based on my recent experience. The technician who arrived was polite and apologized upon arrival because he did not have the necessary supplies on his truck for my toilets and sinks. He explained that he was supposed to service my home the day before but had been unable to make it due to a busy schedule and had not had time to restock his truck. One of the tasks was replacing a basement sink faucet. The technician left to obtain supplies and was gone for approximately an hour. After he left, I discovered a significant amount of standing water on both the counter and floor around the sink he had been working on. The water was left for me to clean up. When he returned, he installed the new faucet and also used the faucet handles to replace handles in a bathroom sink. During the service visit, he also stepped outside to take two phone calls. The work performed included: * Replacing a basement sink faucet * Replacing sink handles in a bathroom * Replacing toilet flappers in two toilets * Adjusting a third toilet that was flushing loudly At the end of the visit, I was presented with a bill of $780. Because I operate an in-home childcare business and a portion of the work was performed in an area used for my business, I requested an itemized invoice showing labor and materials so I could properly document the expense for tax purposes. I was told an itemized receipt would be emailed to me. When I never received it, I contacted the office multiple times. My request for an itemized invoice was denied. During those conversations, I received conflicting information regarding pricing. I was initially told there was a $120 service call fee, then later told it was $125. I was also told labor was $150 per hour, and later informed that I had actually been charged $180 per hour because the work was billed at a commercial rate rather than a residential rate. This was particularly concerning because the work was performed at my personal residence. At no point before or during the service was I informed that I would be billed at a commercial rate rather than a residential rate. When I asked to speak with the owner or manager regarding the billing concerns and my request for an itemized invoice, the conversation became unprofessional. I was called a liar regarding statements the technician had made about not having supplies on his truck. My primary concern was simply obtaining an itemized receipt and understanding the charges. Instead of addressing those concerns, I was met with hostility and my request was refused. Regardless of the amount charged, every customer should be able to receive a clear, itemized invoice showing labor and materials. The lack of transparency, conflicting explanations regarding pricing, refusal to provide an itemized receipt, and poor customer service from management left me extremely disappointed.
