I tried to put earrings in today only to find one of my lobe piercings had partially closed up. After trying to push the stud through myself I knew it was no use, and sought professional help. The gentleman at Absolute Ink was happy to take a look and see how closed it was. After a quick assessment he was able to re-pierce it, no problem. Five minutes after walking in I had my issue resolved and had a new stud in my ear. I'll definitely go back to Absolute Ink for any future piercings. *He did ask if I had brought the jewelry with me, so if there's a particular piece you're trying to get through, try to remember to bring it with you. I walked in for a septum piercing. I really don't want to say anything bad about the piercer but there were quite a few red flags that make hind sight 2020. The piercer, Letter, asked me if I was there for a nose piercing, I said yes. Then he handed me a form to sign. I completed it, turned it over on the counter then waited my turn. When he was ready for me, he didn't ask for my name or ID and didn't look at the paper I filled out. I am who I say I am but I thought that's little weird. I explained right off the bat that I've had a septum piercing before but it closed and one side healed with more scar tissue. And that I was worried if it would be okay or crooked. He looked at it and said it should be fine. It appeared he used sterile jewelry. He wore gloves. But he brought the needle to my nose without sanitizing my nostrils and deadass just started piercing it. I had to queue myself to take a deep breath and boy was it rough. I do have scar tissue so I expected a little more pain but eek. And then he told me it is a little higher on one side. Hands me the mirror and it was crazy how crooked it was. No clamps were used. Now, this is the part where I wouldn't say it is entirely his fault but I am disappointed. He didn't charge me as I had decided to take it out. He offered to pierce it again but I didn't feel comfortable with that. So I mean, I won't be back and I'm appreciative for his service but it was a disappointing experience nonetheless. Headed here on a whim and wanted to commemorate my first trip to the PNW with a new piercing. Letter, male piercer, was really chill and accomodating. He had two customers before me and the wait wasn't long. He really knows his stuff. He saw that I had previously had my rook pierced and simply re-pierced it. It was pretty painless and quick. Their team seems pretty chill. Letter is your guy for piercings. He had correct sterilization and items for this impulsive decision of ours. Ok so I got my nose and tragus done here at absolute. The guy who did my piercings did a good job the process was quick and he made the piercings symmetrical. But the only negative thing I have to say is the quality of the jewelry you get following the piercings. I didn't have any issues with the tragus jewelry because it's twist on but the nose jewelry that is put in after you get pierced is garbage. It's just a push on pull off type of deal and that did not work so well for me. After the day I had my nose pierced I had to go in an additional 2 times to buy new nose jewelry. Just recently I had woke up and noticed that my stud had fallen out while I was sleeping. By the time I tried putting it back in my nose hole had already closed up. This was my 2nd nose piercing 1st one at absolute. The first place I went to in Colorado for my first nose piercing put in a twist on front nose stud for the healing process and it didn't fall out once during the whole 6 month process. I went back today to get my triple ear lobe pierced on both ears. I was really excited and couldn't have been happier with how it went. The experience was simple, minimal pain, and easy. So far my piercings aren't hurting much, one ear is bleeding more but I'm sure they will heal healthily. Yesterday was my first time coming here, which both of these were actually walk-ins (so yay!). I came when they first opened and then a few hours later; maybe call - although I can't promise I would take my own advice. It does get busy around the evening time from what I seen, so maybe try around the time they open. The tattoo artists here are not afraid to hold conversations, they have a great sense of humor, great customer service, their areas are clean, great taste in music; an overall great experience. First of all, this is a tattoo shop, not a spa. No one is going to bend over backwards to make you feel welcome, that's not the vibe here so adjust your expectations. That said, the guys are chill and they are welcoming. It's a laid back place, but these guys know their craft. It was fine and when I went to pay I found out it was $16 dollars (which is a ridiculous overcharge, the same brand is $7-8 online or at other stores). $25 dollar piercings I would not go elsewhere! I have been here and had multiple different services from them, both piercings and tattoos. Really easy to find and sits right on the corner. The owner is super chill and has done all my piercings which usually and really fast and painless. He seems really knowledgeable about what you can expect, how long it may take to heal, and how to care for your piercings. I felt very confident in my aftercare because he explained it so thoroughly to me. His prices are lower than alot of other shops, I have never understood why these other tattoo shops are charging $50-$60 for a simple 5 second piercing. Shrugs! i believe i called around and got quoted $55-60 for a nose piercing and marilyn monroe piercing. I believe i only paid $25 for my marilyn monroe piercing, that included the jewelry. I also had several tats done here, penz did one for me that turned out great, he is amazing and very talented- i will go back to see him the next time. Second stop I was told "No shop on the west side does piercing. You need to go to Capitol Hill." Found Absolute Ink on Google and decided to give it a shot. It was pretty straight-forward and chill. I heard about this place from a friend who said she got all her piercings here for $25. I've been wanting a couple new piercings and thought I would give it a shot. First of all, one thing I look for in any place is cleanliness and customer service. Don't let the outside fool you. This place was clean, all tools and piercings were sterilized, and the piercer was nice enough to let me look over the markings and tell me the aftercare. Experience: I went to get my navel pierced (belly) and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. There was about a 30 minute wait time. Luckily, you're able to wait in your car and they'll come out and get you. Filled out the usual paperwork and went straight back to the room. Even though the piercings are $25, you still get an option for jewelry which can be an additional $5-$15. Piercing happened quick and I chose the jewelry that was an extra $10 (white gem). Went outside to pay and my total came out to $38. They take card and cash. Overall: will be coming back to get my third holes on my lobe. Navel piercing was a 5/10 for pain. So far, no problems with the piercing, just a bit of soreness when I twist and turn. read more
