I had originally set up an appointment with RDL to install a new outlet, but the morning they arrived I threw them a curveball and asked them to also wire up for a new stove and microwave we had picked up the night before. Without missing a beat, Robby and his son said they would take care of it for us so we could cook in our new appliances. That mean swapping out a 110 line for a 220 for our new microwave by connecting to the service panel and running a line under the crawl space - all invisible to anyone in the living space. In the end, our new 220V microwave is hard-wired (the old one was 110 plug-in), our new in-the-wall oven is wired up and working with a more secure 20A fuse than the 15 amp one the home builder had used for the stove. Then they also even got to the outlet that I had originally contacted them about before they wrapped up.

Get quotes from at least three companies before you do the work!…read more Express electrical was VERY FAST at coming out to give me an estimate, they even told me they could do the work the same exact day. I wanted to get two electrical outlets installed outside and switches by the front door. I looked up the parts myself and it came out to around $100 in parts. They wanted to charge me $705.00 to do the work which results in about $605 labor for two hours of work. I asked them if they could simply drop the $65.00 dispatch fee for my home being more than 20 miles away and told the guy giving me the estimate they would still make $540 labor, he told me "no". He also said "You won't find anyone else to do this job any cheaper" which was a little rude. I called and got a few more estimates and got another company to do the job for $500, saving myself $205 dollars. Keep checking Google Maps and look at company reviews, then call a few. Sometimes other companies are willing to work with you a little more and give you a better price. While Express Electrical is fast, they have high prices and don't seem to want to work with you any.
