The taste was unpleasant, and after the very first bite I knew I couldn't continue eating it. The pozole was just as disappointing. I would recommend asking for a sample before purchasing these items, if possible. I also hope the restaurant regularly tastes and evaluates these dishes before serving them to customers. In my opinion, these two menu items were not worth the money and need significant improvement before I would consider ordering them again.

I'm always nervous when we order chile verde or chile rojo because it can be a hit or miss. this burrito did not disappoint. A really big size burrito. Meat meat was super tender. Yummy flavor! On the weekends the offer homemade tortillas. The chips and salsa that came out first was a great start. The chips came out warm and the salsa had a nice kick to it. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Service was a little dry but friendly.

When you see a place with great reviews and inside a gas station (actually a small food court inside of a gas station), you get your hopes up. Something's did not disappoint, but a few items were a miss too. The good: menudo, taquitos and their salsas. They were out of oats and only comes with hominy, but flavors were spot on. Taquitos were crispy and flavorful. Salsas were fire. They had three and all were very good, with the dark red being spiciest. The ok: asada burrito and taco. Both were small and could have had a little more meat. Burrito was mostly beans and taco was tiny. The miss: hard shell taco. Was greasy greasy greasy! More lettuce and cheese could have masked that some, but was mostly tortilla which was drenched.

I always get the same soup there (seafood, either fish only or fish and shrimps) but I wanted to try something different couple of days ago. I love Mexican soup and I am quite picky when it comes down to those...l I asked the owner's wife (who is also the cook, and such a sweet person) what other soup she was making from scratch and she recommended me the chicken soup and WOW.... BOMB! I usually get those here in Vista, but her chicken soup was from far the best I ever had. Best flavor, generous portion, the broth was so tasty. They now have home made tortillas and a new menu. Everything my friends tried there is excellent. The pupusas are home made and great to freeze at home and use when you crave a Mexican snack (I warm them in an air fryer). A plus for the cheese and jalapeno one. NOTE: getting the soup takes time!~ It's cooked from scratch! Again, highly recommended if you are lost around Hesperia!
