I was looking for some products - shadow boxes etc and I was going around . Wish there were clear markers or boards showing the product names (arts and crafts etc) like they have in other shops like Costco . There were also very less persons around to help. I am so happy it is just a HomeGoods, I really hate the stores that are fused into a Marshall's or TJ Maxx, they usually lack selection and neatness. This past visit I came on a Wednesday night one week before Christmas. Despite it being 930pm the store was in good shape and there was a pretty big selection everywhere we looked, including Christmas themed gifts and decor. 5/5

Whether it's this mall or Woodbridge, "East Meets West" is a fun store to visit. I generally go here to get incense but they have so much more than that. Their other offerings include various Hamsas you can hang up, crystals, rocks, sage kits, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms, dream catchers and more. It doesn't matter if you believe in the various spiritual beliefs represented by this store, some of this stuff is just pretty decor. The store is basically a rectangle with shelves and islands in the middle. The cashier is off to the right in the middle. The cashier I dealt with was super friendly and I saw her helping the customer before me with a great deal of patience. This store used to be on the first floor, but they moved up to the second floor and as part of that move they upgraded the decor a bit. There's a fun neon sign at the entrance and a gigantic dream catcher hangs in one window with other items. Before you even walk in the store front seems to promise a unique store experience in a mall mostly dominated by department stores and clothing shops. I wound up getting some "short" incense that were nicely priced (20 for $5 I believe). I also bought a sticker for $2. "East Meets West" is a classic part of the mall experience and I definitely recommend dropping by!

The female manager was not helpful, cold, inflexible, borderline rude, and had zero customer service skills. George saved the day by being kind, helpful, and customer-focused. Within minutes of being shut down by the mean manager, George had sourced me the dresser from the Watchung store location, who were happy to sell me their floor model and had it all wrapped and ready when I arrived (5 stars for Watchung too). It's unfortunate that the Iselin store manager adds a negative tone to the overall experience at the Iselin location. The store should strongly consider a change for overall improvement.
