I do not think it is unreasonable to ask for legal advice from a licensed attorney or at least a paralegal. I called this group, and in the beginning, the 1st week they were very helpful. After the first week and after they received the signatures that they needed. I was completely left in the dark. Trying to reach out and getting no response or contact back. On numerous occasions. But I did receive one call about 8 weeks after I filed the claim. Which I clearly stated to the person that I was talking to how concerned I was about getting no response back and then when another 11 weeks without hearing anything. I wish I would've known this before. Because I had other law firms that I was looking into when I first started this. I should've waited and not responded back to the very first one. So now, 18 weeks has passed in total. I stated I no longer want their services and then they go ahead and send me an email telling me how they're denying or not wanting to move forward and represent me there was no representation from the very beginning. I do not recommend this law firm. I suggest looking elsewhere if you really want results. One of the worst experiences I've had, and I've stated this repeatedly to the individuals who I have spoken to. This is 2 years worth of review. Their site seems professional, trustworthy. They have an intake team, they're good at their job they make you feel validated and that they care about your situation. After choosing this firm over another (big mistake on my part) all I ever got was the voicemail of my paralegal or case manager. (Nick V.) After several months, I called and a general receptionist told me my case had been taken over by someone else, (Aria) and that's why I wasn't getting calls back. I talk to the new person, she assures me she will call me back if I leave a voicemail. I wait several months for a check in; then call back and no answer. I call again to see if I can get an update. I send a text a to the direct line, no answer. So I call again to the generic line, this is about 1 year in. I explain how frustrated I am with my situation to another receptionist; she transfers me to a supervisor. This man apologizes, gives me his email and direct line. When I send him an email about my witnesses wanting to make an official statement, and not being able to get ahold of my contact person....NO RESPONSE. This was over 18 months. Finally, enter Tatianna. I think she's going to solve all my problems. She's competent, sensitive to me being frustrated with the lack of communication, answers my calls and email or returns them within 24 hours. I was so happy. Finally she is able to reach a small settlement from this hell of a company I worked for, they are stingy and she says we can't get them much higher than that. I say ok, sign the settlement paperwork. About 2 weeks go by, and I finally receive a check in the mail. I open it and there's an invoice for only 1/2 the settlement amount!! And there's ZERO description or reasoning as to why I haven't received all of my total settlement. At this point I'm furious, because it's been 2 years back and forth, the settlement was small to begin with, and no one has communicated with me about this. I immediately pick up the phone and call both Tatiana and the coordinator who deals with issuing the checks. Guess what? (I think you know how this goes by now.) No answer. I don't leave a voicemail, instead I email her. I wait 4 days. No response. So I call and leave a voicemail. She finally responds and is rude enough to say "we are all aware of the problem and working on fixing it." "WE ARE ALL AWARE." IF YOU ARE AWARE WHY DON'T YOU COMMUNICATE THAT TO THE CLIENT?!?! I said that to her. She says she doesn't know why no one told me that. Well, she could have told me that, since she was so "aware" of the problem. 2 weeks go by, I call back for an answer. Tatiana ignores my call and voicemail. I wait 2 more weeks, I reach out to Katherine S who is a "supervisor" and handled my payment and settlement paperwork and tax forms. I explain to her the situation via email, wait for a response, call after 3 days, she doesn't answer, so I leave a voicemail saying I'm just trying to get information, because no one will answer me as to if they have reached out the defendant about receiving the second half of my money, and that I can't get an answer from Tatianna, and I just want an answer as to what's going on. I'm a SBO and I budgeted that money into paying bills etc after signing the paperwork to receive it. Does she answer me? Of course not. The supervisor does not answer or have the person working on my case call me. Finally I called the reception again (last week 4/23) they transfer me to Guadalupe. She verified my info before the first check was sent. She informs me Tatianna probably hasn't called me because the case is "closed." So apparently, if you work here, it's ok to ignore clients because "it's not my problem" anymore. She tells me she's going to talk to Christian, because he's the one that handles this sort of thing. She says he will call me tomorrow (4/24) and *if he doesn't* to contact her on Monday. I contacted her as instructed AND SHE HASN'T RESPONDED. If you have a million dollar case, they might actually care about you. Otherwise you're SOL. read more

I have been working with ALG for nearly a year and it has been the worst experience of my life. I provided them with hundreds of pages of evidence to show that I was discriminated against by my employer - who also violated federal laws regarding disability accommodations. They sent a demand letter without my consent to the contents it contained and I was assured that the number included was arbitrary with the ability to be changed. I was then informed 3 months later that it can't actually be changed. I had several months of trying to communicate with my attorney and received zero response. I had to file a complaint with the state bar to get a call back from a paralegal. After months of being told that opposing counsel is being unresponsive, I was told today that they heard from opposing counsel but that they are not interested in settling. My attorney advised that the firm is not pursuing litigation because it doesn't benefit them enough financially. They started screening my calls and refusing to answer the calls because I wanted to speak to a supervisor. I would not recommend working with this company unless you want a frustrating experience with a team that will not respond to you unless you have a case worth millions. They are extremely unprofessional, lazy, irresponsible, and lack knowledge of several laws. read more

But then again, you won't be able to hire them since I doubt they will be practicing law in the State of California in 2024 after my detailed complaint is lodged this week with the Bar. Their staff lied to me on three different occasions in respect to what was happening with the case. Their intake specialist said verbatim "Well if they can't find something, they'll create something, don't worry". LOL I only took Business Law in college and even I know this is grounds for disbarment. Their demand letters were such a joke that if I was the opposing counsel and read it, I'd shred it immediately without giving a second thought. After providing my proof of income, paystubs on two different occasions, 7 months later I get an e-mail stating "Edgar, do you have any proof of income or paystubs" that you worked there?? (You can't make this up. I thought I was dreaming.) I lost it at this point and realized everything thus far has been a lie and they haven't done jack $hit. We are at the tail end of a labor case that was taken on by this firm and I would highly recommend going with someone else. We originally chose this group because we were promised responses in a timely manner. Many other firms took way less of a percentage but being kept up to date and being able to reach the attorneys was our priority. My husband has ended up having to call several times during every step of this process and has not once received a call back. He only spoke to someone when he was lucky enough to catch them in the office. We are awaiting our settlement check currently and we just found out there are delays of which we weren't aware. I would have to say I'm so surprised with my outcome from the firm. I was skeptical going in because I have never had to worry about taking action against a company. But Gabriella and April did what needed to be done. My case was finalized Friday, which I was so surprised how it came so quick. I Was In a quote serious accident, at work, not my fault. 2 actually. The company was pretty terrible at safty and we were not treated fairly by there system of "get the most work done or the bottom slowest peope get fired". It only cause less safty and competition to be at the top of the scoreboard. And after being injured. I went through 2 other "law firms" and to this day the 2nd still failed to even give me a proper in person meeting and finish a case that has waisted 2 years of my time.. But I was PLEASANTLY, supprised when I met Abrambsons Labor Group. I sent them a message. The next day one of there intake/legal aides spoke to me. Got the needed info and was able to alomst down to the day negotiate a fair and adequate settlement. I actually met with there team, and I was genuinely supprised with the kindness and respect they treat people with. Not like some of the larger cut throat personal injury/work discrimination law firms who cant bother to inform you of anything until its too late. Abrambsons i didn't have to call once. They notified me once or twice a month, let me know how it was going, and I got an email in the following weeks, I signed some papers, and case closed. Just at the right time too. As I was struggling to find or even know if I am allowed to work. So hats off to this law firm. Based on my experience (wrongful termination)... do NOT use ABRAMSON LABOR GROUP. (1) They do NOT LITIGATE and they bury this FACT in the "fine print" of your contract. They do NOT tell you this important fact during their phone consultation. (2) After 1 phone consult the paralegal (Tariq) sent the demand letter without allowing me to review even though I requested review twice. It was FULL of errors and omissions. I was told "sorry it is too late". (3) I spoke with 5 (five) different staff (Kelly Odabashian/Jennifer Echeverria/Tariq/Paola AND Marissa Escamilla regarding my case and NEVER the attorney "assigned" to my case IF indeed there was one. (4) Never ONCE did Abramson initiate a call. I frequently left messages with NO return calls. (5) My case was accepted by Abramson May 2021. It was "referred out" to a "REAL" law firm in September 2021. I left 5 (five) messages for Paola for a status update... never once receiving a return call. Yesterday (12/28) I insisted on speaking with a staff person and Marissa called me back (shocker). This conversation resulted in her emailed my my DISENGAGEMENT letter AT MY REQUEST. I had a rocky start with my case, I knew I had a case and I picked alg to represent me. I am sure that 6 months is pretty fast and with that time people quit and my case would get lost, however after June my case was on a roll. I was able to get what I think is justice for myself and I know that if you have the time and patience they are the right fit for anyone. I would love if people called more and worked on customer service but I know we are human and things happen. And now over a month after the settlement they were no longer answering my calls and only after I said that the attorneys representing my employer sent them a payment on my behalf (a month prior) they responded by saying that they never received a payment on my behalf. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this lawyer group. Communication was consistently subpar, with prolonged response times and a significant delay in addressing emails, often taking 1-2 weeks for a reply. Unfortunately, the intake process seemed to result in a complete misinterpretation of the facts of my case. The attorney assigned to me consistently provided inaccurate information, either due to incompetence or a mishandled communication process within the firm. To exacerbate matters, they attempted to contact me through various letters sent to my residence, none of which I received. It was later discovered that they had the wrong address throughout the entire period, leading to further frustration and hindering progress on my case. Moreover, a letter sent to the opposing party contained factual inaccuracies, giving them an advantage and diminishing the effectiveness of the firm's representation. As other reviews have stated, they don't litigate your case. All they will do for you is send a demand letter to your opposing party and collect settlement money. Throughout the entire process, you have no contact with your attorney. You communicate through the attorney's assistant, who constantly gets facts wrong. They told me I had a strong case at the start, and 6 months later, with almost no communications at all, they told me they had to drop the case. More than 12 emails I have written to them for updates were ignored. My original concerns and complaints about the opposing party were largely ignored, leaving me with the impression that this group lacked the dedication to fight for my interests. The overall lack of commitment and the absence of a client-focused approach made me feel undervalued. While I acknowledge that this is a "free" lawyer group, the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true, and in this instance, the service fell far short of expectations. read more

Complete disaster. Submitted two cases for wrongful termination and they let both of my former companies I worked for take advantage of them. One company didn't want to settle out of court and they didn't put up much a fight. Instead, they tried to outsource that case to another lawyer to see if they would take it on. All the referrals they made contact with rejected my case. In the second case, I asked for a considerable amount from the second firm. They fought for me and only recovered barely 1% of what I was requesting. Again, they were take. Advantage of by the second firm I was terminated from and didn't put up much of a fight! Originally would've liked to give them 5 stars as they helped me win my settlement but once they got their money, it's like they were impossible to reach. I'm having issues with the tax form they provided for my taxes and I've called on several occasions and left messages for Jorge with NO response. Finally he answered my call and let me know to send him what I have via email and he'd get back to me- I've now emailed him THREE times and no response!! I even marked it as urgent and ask they he reply immediately due to me not being able to reach him via phone or email and nothing. Tax day is 6 days away and I've had ZERO HELP from the law firm and they've now put me in a horrible situation instead of simply helping me with what I need. I requested an initial consultation. Once scheduled and confirmed I continued to receive multiple emails from their staff asking me if I wanted to schedule a consultation. When I called they confirmed my consultation was scheduled but continued to email me asking if I wanted to schedule one. On the day of my appointment the staff were not timely and did not call at the scheduled time. Once I called them they told me they could not work with me as they only work with people who are seeking claims against private employers. This is something they could have told me in the very beginning when I provided the initial information and requested the consultation. Very disorganized and poor communication. I've had the worst experience with this law firm the second time around, unfortunately. Yes I did say that they were my law firm before and somewhat helped me, but didn't help me the right way and cover their basis like they were supposed to. The Deposition woman actually called me the day of my deposition when I have been pleading with them to call months and months before so we can be on the same page. And the woman has the nerve to say to me that I didn't have any idea how much her schedule was so complicated and I basically shouldn't be complaining. Here we are this time I have a new job with injury and these people are giving me to run around trying to express to me in the best way they can of course that its my fault that they didn't know that this and that and such and such was going on with my case. Where do I START!!I was in my opinion and supposedly theirs as well wrongfully terminated in August. The day after,after being distraught having finally finding a job after being laid off for so long.I reached out to some firms that deal with this.I actually found one,but wanted to see if I was making the right decision. Long story short I ended up going with this firm.I contacted them,had a phone consult. I was subsequently contacted asked again about the details of my termination. I relayed everything that was said and what happened. I received an email,signing forms to retain this firm. Regrettably so.It started out well.I started having to reach out to them,being told so MANY different things.Offers were sent,letters were written etc.Never knowing anything more or less.Some seemed irritated just talking to me.Before Christmas, I finally got to speak to an Actual attorney. I thought I was gaining momentum. Oh but how wrong I was.He did not even know why I had filed the claim asking me for details that he should have known. Having worked previously for a personal injury Attorney I found this egregious!!Nonetheless I still had hope.Thinking that I would finally be receiving some form of justice. Fast forward to the present. I just the other day spoke to this same attorney, who basically told me that my case was baseless.
