I scheduled and paid for a consultation based on the representation that I would be meeting with a…read morespecific attorney. When I arrived, I was informed--without any prior notice--that the consultation would instead be conducted by a different partner. I was also told the consultation would be 15 minutes, despite previously understanding it to be 30 minutes. When I expressed that I was only interested in meeting with the attorney I originally booked the consultation with, I was then told that doing so would require paying an additional $100, raising the consultation fee from $100 to $200. At that point, due to the lack of transparency around who I was meeting with, the consultation length, and the fee structure, I felt uncomfortable proceeding and requested a refund, which was granted. This review is not about the attorneys' legal ability, but about the intake and consultation process. Switching attorneys without advance disclosure and changing terms after arrival is not a professional experience, particularly for clients dealing with sensitive family law matters. I hope the firm improves its intake communication and transparency for future clients.
